1以色列 带着一切所有的，起身来到 别是巴 ，就献祭给他父亲 以撒 的 神。
1So Israel set out with all that he had, and when he came to Beersheba, he offered sacrifices to the God of his father Isaac.
2夜间， 神在异象中对 以色列 说：「 雅各 ！ 雅各 ！」他说：「我在这里。」
2And that night God spoke to Israel in a vision: “Jacob, Jacob!” He said. “Here I am,” replied Jacob.
3神说：「我是 神，就是你父亲的 神。你下 埃及 去不要害怕，因为我必使你在那里成为大族。
3“I am God,” He said, “the God of your father. Do not be afraid to go down to Egypt, for I will make you into a great nation there.
4我要和你同下 埃及 去，也必定带你上来； 约瑟 必给你送终。」
4I will go down with you to Egypt, and I will surely bring you back. And Joseph’s own hands will close your eyes.”
5雅各 就从 别是巴 起行。 以色列 的儿子们使他们的父亲 雅各 和他们的妻子、儿女都坐在法老为 雅各 送来的车上。
5Then Jacob departed from Beersheba, and the sons of Israel took their father Jacob in the wagons Pharaoh had sent to carry him, along with their children and wives.

6They also took the livestock and possessions they had acquired in the land of Canaan, and Jacob and all his offspring went to Egypt.

7Jacob took with him to Egypt his sons and grandsons, and his daughters and granddaughters—all his offspring.

8Now these are the names of the sons of Israel (Jacob and his descendants) who went to Egypt: Reuben, Jacob’s firstborn.

20Manasseh and Ephraim were born to Joseph in the land of Egypt by Asenath daughter of Potiphera, priest of On.

21The sons of Benjamin: Bela, Becher, Ashbel, Gera, Naaman, Ehi, Rosh, Muppim, Huppim, and Ard.

22These are the sons of Rachel born to Jacob—fourteen in all.
23但 的儿子是 户伸 。
23The son of Dan: Hushim.

24The sons of Naphtali: Jahzeel, Guni, Jezer, and Shillem.

25These are the sons of Jacob born to Bilhah, whom Laban gave to his daughter Rachel—seven in all.
26那与 雅各 同到 埃及 的，除了他儿妇之外，凡从他所生的，共有六十六人。
26All those belonging to Jacob who came to Egypt—his direct descendants, besides the wives of Jacob’s sons—numbered sixty-six persons.
27还有 约瑟 在 埃及 所生的两个儿子。 雅各 家来到 埃及 的共有七十人。
27And with the two sons who had been born to Joseph in Egypt, the members of Jacob’s family who went to Egypt were seventy in all.
28雅各 打发 犹大 先去见 约瑟 ，请派人引路往 歌珊 去；于是他们来到 歌珊 地。
28Now Jacob had sent Judah ahead of him to Joseph to get directions to Goshen. When Jacob’s family arrived in the land of Goshen,
29约瑟 套车往 歌珊 去，迎接他父亲 以色列 ，及至见了面，就伏在父亲的颈项上，哭了许久。
29Joseph prepared his chariot and went there to meet his father Israel. Joseph presented himself to him, embraced him, and wept profusely.
30以色列 对 约瑟 说：「我既得见你的面，知道你还在，就是死我也甘心。」
30Then Israel said to Joseph, “Finally I can die, now that I have seen your face and know that you are still alive!”
31约瑟 对他的弟兄和他父的全家说：「我要上去告诉法老，对他说：『我的弟兄和我父的全家从前在 迦南 地，现今都到我这里来了。
31Joseph said to his brothers and to his father’s household, “I will go up and inform Pharaoh: ‘My brothers and my father’s household from the land of Canaan have come to me.
32他们本是牧羊的人，以养牲畜为业；他们把羊群牛群和一切所有的都带来了。』
32The men are shepherds; they raise livestock, and they have brought their flocks and herds and all that they own.’
33等法老召你们的时候，问你们说：『你们以何事为业？』
33When Pharaoh summons you and asks, ‘What is your occupation?’
34你们要说：『你的仆人，从幼年直到如今，都以养牲畜为业，连我们的祖宗也都以此为业。』这样，你们可以住在 歌珊 地，因为凡牧羊的都被 埃及 人所厌恶。」
34you are to say, ‘Your servants have raised livestock ever since our youth—both we and our fathers.’ Then you will be allowed to settle in the land of Goshen, since all shepherds are detestable to the Egyptians.”
