1大卫 年纪老迈，日子满足，就立他儿子 所罗门 作 以色列 的王。
1And David being old and full of days, made Solomon his son king over Israel.
2大卫 招聚 以色列 的众首领和祭司 利未 人。
2And he gathered together all the princes of Israel, and the priests and Levites.
3利未 人从三十岁以外的都被数点，他们男丁的数目共有三万八千；
3And the Levites were numbered from the age of thirty years, and upwards: and there were found of them thirty-eight thousand men.
4其中有二万四千人管理耶和华殿的事，有六千人作官长和士师，
4Of these twenty-four thousand were chosen, and distributed unto the ministry of the house of the Lord: and six thousand were the overseers and judges.
5有四千人作守门的，又有四千人用 大卫 所做的乐器颂赞耶和华。
5Moreover four thousand were porters: and as many singers singing to the Lord with the instruments, which he had made to sing with.
6大卫 将 利未 人 革顺 、 哥辖 、 米拉利 的子孙分了班次。
6And David distributed them into courses by the families of the sons of Levi, to wit, of Gerson, and of Caath, and of Merari.
7革顺 的子孙有 拉但 和 示每 。
7The sons of Gerson were Leedan and Semei.
8拉但 的长子是 耶歇 ，还有 细坦 和 约珥 ，共三人。
8The sons of Leedan: the chief Jahiel, and Zethan, and Joel, three.
9示每 的儿子是 示罗密 、 哈薛 、 哈兰 三人。这是 拉但 族的族长。
9The sons of Semei: Salomith, and Hosiel, and Aran, three: these were the heads of the families of Leedan.
10示每 的儿子是 雅哈 、 细拿 、 耶乌施 、 比利亚 共四人。
10And the sons of Semei were Leheth, and Ziza, and Jaus, and Baria: these were the sons of Semei, four.
11雅哈 是长子， 细撒 是次子。但 耶乌施 和 比利亚 的子孙不多，所以算为一族。
11And Leheth was the first, Ziza the second: but Jaus and Baria had not many children, and therefore they were counted in one family, and in one house.
12哥辖 的儿子是 暗兰 、 以斯哈 、 希伯伦 、 乌薛 共四人。
12The sons of Caath were Amram, and Isaar, Hebron, and Oziel, four.
13暗兰 的儿子是 亚伦 、 摩西 。 亚伦 和他的子孙分出来，好分别至圣的物，在耶和华面前烧香、事奉他，奉他的名祝福，直到永远。
13The sons of Amram, Aaron, and Moses. And Aaron was separated to minister in the holy of holies, he and his sons for ever, and to burn incense before the Lord, according to his ceremonies, and to bless his name for ever.
14至于神人 摩西 ，他的子孙名字记在 利未 支派的册上。
14The sons also of Moses, the man of God, were numbered in the tribe of Levi.
15摩西 的儿子是 革舜 和 以利以谢 。
15The sons of Moses were Gersom and Eliezer:
16革舜 的长子是 细布业 ；
16The sons of Gersom: Subuel the first.
17以利以谢 的儿子是 利哈比雅 。 以利以谢 没有别的儿子，但 利哈比雅 的子孙甚多。
17And the sons of Eliezer were: Rohobia the first: and Eliezer had no more sons. But the sons of Rohobia were multiplied exceedingly.
18以斯哈 的长子是 示罗密 。
18The sons of Isaar: Salomith the first.
19希伯伦 的长子是 耶利雅 ，次子是 亚玛利亚 ，三子是 雅哈悉 ，四子是 耶加面 。
19The sons of Hebron: Jeriau the first, Amarias the second, Jahaziel the third, Jecmaam the fourth.
20乌薛 的长子是 米迦 ，次子是 耶西雅 。
20The sons of Oziel: Micha the first, Jesia the second.
21米拉利 的儿子是 抹利 、 母示 。 抹利 的儿子是 以利亚撒 、 基士 。
21The sons of Merari: Moholi, and Musi. The sons of Moholi: Eleazar and Cia.
22以利亚撒 死了，没有儿子，只有女儿，他们本族 基士 的儿子娶了她们为妻。
22And Eleazar died, and had no sons but daughters: and the sons of Cis their brethren took them.
23母示 的儿子是 末力 、 以得 、 耶利摩 共三人。
23The sons of Musi: Moholi, and Eder, and Jerimoth, three.
24以上 利未 子孙作族长的，照着男丁的数目，从二十岁以外，都办耶和华殿的事务。
24These are the sons of Levi in their kindreds and families, princes by their courses, and the number of every head that did the works of the ministry of the house of the Lord from twenty years old and upward.
25大卫 说：「耶和华— 以色列 的 神已经使他的百姓平安，他永远住在 耶路撒冷 。
25For David said: The Lord the God of Israel hath given rest to his people, and a habitation in Jerusalem for ever.
26利未 人不必再抬帐幕和其中所用的一切器皿了。」
26And it shall not be the office of the Levites to carry any more the tabernacle, and all the vessels for the service thereof.
27照着 大卫 临终所吩咐的， 利未 人从二十岁以外的都被数点。
27So according to the last precepts of David, the sons of Levi are to be numbered from twenty years old and upward.
28他们的职任是服事 亚伦 的子孙，在耶和华的殿和院子，并屋中办事，洁净一切圣物，就是办 神殿的事务，
28And they are to be under the hand of the sons of Aaron for the service of the house of the Lord, in the porches, and in the chambers, and in the place of purification, and in the sanctuary, and in all the works of the ministry of the temple of the Lord.
29并管理陈设饼，素祭的细面，或无酵薄饼，或用盘烤，或用油调和的物，又管理各样的升斗尺度；
29And the priests have the charge of the leaves of proposition, and of the sacrifice of fine flour, and of the unleavened cakes, and of the fryingpan, and of the roasting, and of every weight and measure.
30每日早晚，站立称谢赞美耶和华，
30And the Levites are to stand in the morning to give thanks, and to sing praises to the Lord: and in like manner in the evening,
31又在安息日、月朔，并节期，按数照例，将燔祭常常献给耶和华；
31As well in the oblation of the holocausts of the Lord, as in the sabbaths and in the new moons, and the rest of the solemnities, according to the number and ceremonies prescribed for every thing, continually before the Lord.
32又看守会幕和圣所，并守 耶和华 吩咐他们弟兄 亚伦 子孙的，办耶和华殿的事。
32And let them keep the observances of the tabernacle of the covenant, and the ceremonies of the sanctuary, and the charge of the sons of Aaron their brethren, that they may minister in the house of the Lord.
