1Then Jesus left that place and went into the region of Judea, beyond the Jordan. Again the crowds came to Him and He taught them, as was His custom.
1IEJUJ ap kotila jan waja o, koti don wein Iudaa, palila jan Iordan. Aramaj ap pil pokon don re a. A ap pil pur on padak kin ir, due me a kin wiawia.
2Some Pharisees came to test Him. “Is it lawful for a man to divorce his wife?” they inquired.
2Parijar kai ap kodo peipeidok re a: Me pun, ol en muei jan a paud? Irail ari kajonejon i.
3“What did Moses command you?” He replied.
3A ap kotin japen majani on irail: Da me Mojej majani on komail?
4They answered, “Moses permitted a man to write his wife a certificate of divorce and send her away.”
4Re ap japen: Mojej mueideda kijin likau en kamueit en wiaui, ap muei jan.
5But Jesus told them, “Moses wrote this commandment for you because of your hardness of heart.
5lejuj ap kotin japen majani on irail: pweki omail kapitakai, me a intinie kida kujoned wet.
6However, from the beginning of creation, ‘God made them male and female.’
6A nin tapin jappa a wiauiata: Kot a kotin wia ira da ol o li.
7‘For this reason a man will leave his father and mother and be united to his wife,
7I me aramaj amen pan pededi jam a in a, pat on eta a paud.
8and the two will become one flesh.’ So they are no longer two, but one flesh.
8Ira ari pan uduk eta eu, ira joer riamen, a uduk eta eu.
9Therefore what God has joined together, let man not separate.”
9Ari, meakot Kot kapad penaer, aramaj der kamueit pajan!
10When they were back inside the house, the disciples asked Jesus about this matter.
10Nan im o japwilim a tounpadak kan pur on kalelapok re a due.
11So He told them, “Whoever divorces his wife and marries another woman commits adultery against her.
11I ari kotin majani on irail: Meamen, me muei jan a paud li, ap ale amen, a kamal i.
12And if a woman divorces her husband and marries another man, she commits adultery.”
12O ma li amen muei jan a paud, ap ale amen, a kin kamal.
13Now people were bringing the little children to Jesus for Him to place His hands on them, and the disciples rebuked those who brought them.
13Re ap poto don re a kijin jeri kai, pwen kotin jair ir. Tounpadak kan ap kapoui irail me wado ko.
14But when Jesus saw this, He was indignant and told them, “Let the little children come to Me, and do not hinder them! For the kingdom of God belongs to such as these.
14Ni en Iejuj a kotin majani, a ap kotin juede kida, ap majani on irail: Mueid on kijin jeri akan, en ko don re i. Der kalik irail edi! Pwe iei jon en, me udan wein Kot.
15Truly I tell you, anyone who does not receive the kingdom of God like a little child will never enter it.”
15Melel I indai on komall, meamen, me jota ale wein Kot rajon kijin jeri men, a jota pan pedelon on lole.
16And He took the children in His arms, placed His hands on them, and blessed them.
16A kotin palo irail edi, pwil po ’rail lim a ko, kapai irail ada.
17As Jesus started on His way, a man ran up and knelt before Him. “Good Teacher,” he asked, “what must I do to inherit eternal life?”
17Ni a kotiieilan nani al o, meamen ap tan don i, kelepukedi, kalelapok re a: Jaunpadak mau, da me i en wia, pwe i en joki maur joutuk?
18“Why do you call Me good?” Jesus replied. “No one is good except God alone.
18Iejuj ap kotin majani on i: Da me koe indaki, me I mau? Jota meamen me mau, Kot eta.
19You know the commandments: ‘Do not murder, do not commit adultery, do not steal, do not bear false witness, do not cheat others, honor your father and mother.’”
19Koe kin aja kujoned akan: koe der kamal! Koe der kamela! Koe der pirap! Koe der kinakine mal! Koe der morjued! Wauneki jam om o in Om!
20“Teacher,” he replied, “all these I have kept from my youth.”
20A ap japen potoan on i: Jaunpadak, mepukat i kin wiawiada jan ni ai tikitik kokodo.
21Jesus looked at him, loved him, and said to him, “There is one thing you lack: Go, sell everything you own and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven. Then come, follow Me.”
21Iejuj ap kotin mamajani i o kupura, ap majani on i: Me takij me lua, kowei, netikila meakaroj, me koe aneki, ki on me jamama kan; om pai ap pan mi nanlan; ap kodo, ale om lopu idauen ia!
22But the man was saddened by these words and went away in sorrow, because he had great wealth.
22I ari patau kila majan pot et, kokola injenjued, pwe a kapwa me toto.
23Then Jesus looked around and said to His disciples, “How hard it is for the rich to enter the kingdom of God!”
23Iejuj ap kotin aupwili jili, ap majani on japwilim a tounpadak kan: Meid apwal on me kapwapwa, en pedelon on nan wein Kot.
24And the disciples were amazed at His words. But Jesus said to them again, “Children, how hard it is to enter the kingdom of God!
24Tounpadak kan ap puriamui kila a majan oko. Iejuj ap pil kotin japen majani on irail: Jeri ko! Meid apwal on irail, me keleki kapwa, en pedelon on nan Wein Kot.
25It is easier for a camel to pass through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to enter the kingdom of God.”
25Me manai on kamel en tilon nan por en dikok, jan me kapwapwa en ko on nan wein Kot.
26They were even more astonished and said to one another, “Who then can be saved?”
26Irail ari waponda kaualap, indinda nan pun arail: A ij me kak kamaurela?
27Jesus looked at them and said, “With man this is impossible, but not with God. For all things are possible with God.”
27Iejuj ap kotin mamajani won irail majani: A jo kak pan aramaj, a kaidin pan Kot; pwe ren Kot meakaroj me kak.
28Peter began to say to Him, “Look, we have left everything and followed You.”
28Petruj ap tapiada potoan on: Re majani, je likidmaliela meakaroj, ap idedauen komui jili.
29“Truly I tell you,” Jesus replied, “no one who has left home or brothers or sisters or mother or father or children or fields for My sake and for the gospel
29Iejuj ap kotin japen majani! Melel I indai on komail: Jota meamen, me likidmaliela im, de ri a ol, de li akan, de jam, de in, de a paud, de jeri ko, de jap pweki nai o ronamau,

31But many who are first will be last, and the last will be first.”
31A me toto men moa, pan men murla, o men mur pan moala.
32As they were going up the road to Jerusalem, Jesus was walking ahead of them. The disciples were amazed, but those who followed were afraid. Again Jesus took the Twelve aside and began to tell them what was going to happen to Him:
32Ni arail kotikot kodalan Ierujalem, Iejuj me kotin tion mo ’rail; a irail puriamui kila, idedauen wapon. A ap kotin ale ekriamen oko, ap kotin tapiada majani on irail, me pan wiaui on i ko:
33“Look, we are going up to Jerusalem, and the Son of Man will be delivered over to the chief priests and scribes. They will condemn Him to death and will deliver Him over to the Gentiles,
33Kilan, kitail kodalan Ieruialem. Nain aramaj pan panalan jamero lapalap o jaunkawewe kan; re ap pan kadeikada, en kamela, ap id kilan ren me kijan men liki kan.

34Re ap pan kapikapit i, o woki, o kondipi, o kamela. A ap pan maureda murin ran jilu.
35Then James and John, the sons of Zebedee, came to Jesus and declared, “Teacher, we want You to do for us whatever we ask.”
35Iakopuj i Ioanej nain Jepedauj akan potodo, potoan on i: Jaunpadak, je men, komui en kotin wiai on kit meakot, me je mauki.
36“What do you want Me to do for you?” He inquired.
36A ap kotin majani on ira: Da me koma mauki, I en wiai on koma?
37They answered, “Grant that one of us may sit at Your right hand and the other at Your left in Your glory.”
37Ira ap potoan on i: Re kotin in mueid on kit, amen kit en mod pali maun omui, a amen pali Imain nan omui linan.
38“You do not know what you are asking,” Jesus replied. “Can you drink the cup I will drink, or be baptized with the baptism I will undergo?”
38A Iejuj kotin majani on ira: Koma jaja, me koma poekipoeki en. Koma pan kak nim dal, me I nim, de paiptaijeki paptaij me I paptaijeki?
39“We can,” the brothers answered. “You will drink the cup that I drink,” Jesus said, “and you will be baptized with the baptism that I undergo.
39Ira ap potoan on i: Je kak. Iejuj ap kotin majani on ira: Ei, koma pan nim dal me I nim, paptaijeki paptaij, me I paptaijeki.
40But to sit at My right or left is not Mine to grant. These seats belong to those for whom they have been prepared.”
40A mod pali maun i o pali main i, I jota kak mueid on; pwe on irail eta, me a onop on.
41When the ten heard about this, they became indignant with James and John.
41Ni en ek oko ar ronada, re ap juedekida Iakopuj i Ioanej.
42So Jesus called them together and said, “You know that those regarded as rulers of the Gentiles lord it over them, and their superiors exercise authority over them.
42Iejuj lao molipe ir do, ap kotin majani on irail: Komail aja duen jaupeidi en wei pokon ar kin poe irail edi o ar jaumaj akan kin manaman on ir.
43But it shall not be this way among you. Instead, whoever wants to become great among you must be your servant,
43Ari, due met jota pan wiaui nan pun omail. A me men laud nan pun omail, a en omail papa.
44and whoever wants to be first must be the slave of all.
44Meamen re omail, me men jaumaj, en ladu en karujia.
45For even the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give His life as a ransom for many.”
45Pwe pil Nain aramaj jota kotido, pwe en papa i, a pwen papa on irail, kida maur i wiliandi me toto.
46Next, they came to Jericho. And as Jesus and His disciples were leaving Jericho with a large crowd, a blind beggar named Bartimaeus, the son of Timaeus, was sitting beside the road.
46Irail ap ko don Ieriko. Ari, ni i o japwilim a tounpadak kan o pokon kalaimun kotiiei jan Ieriko, Partimauj majkun, nain Timauj, momod liman al o, wia poekipoek.
47When he heard that it was Jesus of Nazareth, he began to cry out, “Jesus, Son of David, have mercy on me!”
47A ni a ronada, me iei Iejuj en Najaret, a ap weriwer indada: Iejuj, japwilim en Dawid, kupura ia!
48Many people admonished him to be silent, but he cried out all the louder, “Son of David, have mercy on me!”
48Me toto ap kidaue, pwen nenenla. Ari, a ap kalaudela a weriwer: Japwilim en Dawid kupura ia!
49Jesus stopped and said, “Call him.” So they called the blind man. “Take courage!” they said. “Get up! He is calling for you.”
49Iejuj ari kotin udi, majani en peekek kodo. Ir ari ekeredo ol majkun o indai on i: Injenemau, uda! A kotin molipe uk!
50Throwing off his cloak, Bartimaeus jumped up and came to Jesus.

51“What do you want Me to do for you?” Jesus asked. “Rabboni,” said the blind man, “let me see again.”
51Iejuj ap kotin japen majani on i: Da me koe mauki, I en wiai on uk? Me majkun o ap potoan on: Rapuni, i men potoan kilan waja.
52“Go,” said Jesus, “your faith has healed you.” And immediately he received his sight and followed Jesus along the road.
52Iejuj ap kotin majani on i: Ukkewei! om pojon me kakelail uk ada. I ari madan kilanada waja, ap idauen la Iejuj.
