Kadede Kap (Pohnpeian New Testament and Psalms)
Douay-Rheims Bible, American Edition (1899)
1RAN en pentikoj lao leler, irail karoj kot pena waja ta kij.
1And when the days of the Pentecost were accomplished, they were all together in one place:
2A madan nil laud eu likamata nil en melimel peidido jan nanlan o kadirela im o waja, re kot pena ia.
2And suddenly there came a sound from heaven, as of a mighty wind coming, and it filled the whole house where they were sitting.
3A lo jiraneran akai likamata kijiniai pwarado jokedi pon amen amen.
3And there appeared to them parted tongues as it were of fire, and it sat upon every one of them:
4Irail karoj ap dire kila Nen jaraui ap pikikidi padaki wei ni lokaia toror, duen Nen kotin kamajan irail ada.
4And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and they began to speak with divers tongues, according as the Holy Ghost gave them to speak.
5Men Juj, ol lelapok ko jan nan wei karoj pan lan kaikairu lerujalem.
5Now there were dwelling at Jerusalem, Jews, devout men, out of every nation under heaven.
6Irail lao roner duen mepukat karoj, ap pokon penaer o puriamui kila, aki amen amen roner udan a lokaia.
6And when this was noised abroad, the multitude came together, and were confounded in mind, because that every man heard them speak in his own tongue.
7Irail karoj poneponeki o puriamuiki indada: Kilan, kaidin mepukat karoj men Kalilaa, me kin padapadak?
7And they were all amazed, and wondered, saying: Behold, are not all these, that speak, Galileans?
8A daduen, kit kin ron irail amen amen ni udan nil atail?
8And how have we heard, every man our own tongue wherein we were born?
9Men Partien, men Medien, men Elam, o toun Mejopotamien, o Iudaa, o Kapadojien, o Pontuj, o Ajien,
9Parthians, and Medes, and Elamites, and inhabitants of Mesopotamia, Judea, and Cappadocia, Pontus and Asia,
10O Prikien, o Pampilien, o Akipten, o liman Lipien; jalon Kirene, o men Rom, me mi waja et, karoj Juj oko o Projelit oko,
10Phrygia, and Pamphylia, Egypt, and the parts of Libya about Cyrene, and strangers of Rome,
11Men Kreta o men Arapien, iaduen kitail kin ron kin irail udan nil atail ar katitiki manaman en Kot akan?
11Jews also, and proselytes, Cretes, and Arabians: we have heard them speak in our own tongues the wonderful works of God.
12Irail karoj ari pinidar o ponepondar, indada nan pun arail: Dakot met?
12And they were all astonished, and wondered, saying one to another: What meaneth this?
13Akai lalaue indada: Irail dire kila wain kap.
13But others mocking, said: These men are full of new wine.
14A Petruj ianaki ekamen oko ap kotida, kapitie laudeda majani on irail: Ol en Iudaa kan o komail karoj, me kaujon Ierujalem, komail en aja duen met, o komail ron maj ai padak!
14But Peter standing up with the eleven, lifted up his voice, and spoke to them: Ye men of Judea, and all you that dwell in Jerusalem, be this known to you, and with your ears receive my words.
15Pwe mepukat kaidin jakaular, duen omail kiki on, pwe apton auer kajilu en ran wet;
15For these are not drunk, as you suppose, seeing it is but the third hour of the day:
16Pwe iei mepukat, me lolok ren jaukop Ioel:
16But this is that which was spoken of by the prophet Joel:
17Kot kotin majanier: Ieteten me pan wiaui ni imwilan ran akan: I pan kamoredi Nen i pon uduk karoj. Noumail ol o li akan ap pan deideikop, o noumail manakap akan pan kilekilan kaudial akan, o noumail di ma kan pan auramenda;
17And it shall come to pass, in the last days, (saith the Lord,) I will pour out of my Spirit upon all flesh: and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, and your young men shall see visions, and your old men shall dream dreams.
18A ni ran oko I pil pan kamoredi Nen i pon ai ladu o lidu kan, rap pan deideikop.
18And upon my servants indeed, and upon my handmaids will I pour out in those days of my spirit, and they shall prophesy.
19O I pan kapwareda manaman akai nanlan pali poa, o kilel akai nin jappa pali pa: Nta, o kijiniai, o adiniai;
19And I will shew wonders in the heaven above, and signs on the earth beneath: blood and fire, and vapour of smoke.
20A katipin pan wukila rotorotala, a jaunipon pan wiala nta mon ran lapalap o linan en Kaun o pan pwarado.
20The sun shall be turned into darkness, and the moon into blood, before the great and manifest day of the Lord come.
21O a pan wiaui ma meamen likwir on mar en Kaun o, a pan dorela.
21And it shall come to pass, that whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord, shall be saved.
22Ari ol en Ijrael, komail ron kajoi pot et: Iejuj men Najaret ol amen, me Kot kotin kilele kidar nan pun omail dodok kelail akan o manaman akan, o kilel akan, me Kot kotin wiaki i nan pun omail, duen me komail pein aja;
22Ye men of Israel, hear these words: Jesus of Nazareth, a man approved of God among you, by miracles, and wonders, and signs, which God did by him, in the midst of you, as you also know:
23I lao panalar duen kupur en Kot erpit, komail ap jaikikidi pa en me japun kan, ap pajuredi on ni lopu o kamatalar.
23This same being delivered up, by the determinate counsel and foreknowledge of God, you by the hands of wicked men have crucified and slain.
24I me Kot kotin kaiajadar, ni a kotin lapwada jal en a matala, pwe a jota kak on, en kolekol i.
24Whom God hath raised up, having loosed the sorrows of hell, as it was impossible that he should be holden by it.
25Pwe Dawid majanier duen i: I ninar Kaun o potopot mo i; pwe a kotikot ni pali maun i, pwe i ender mokid.
25For David saith concerning him: I foresaw the Lord before my face: because he is at my right hand, that I may not be moved.
26I me monion i peren kida, o lo i popoleki; pil uduk ai pan kamoledi ni kaporopor.
26For this my heart hath been glad, and any tongue hath rejoiced: moreover my flesh also shall rest in hope.
27Pwe re jota pan kotin likidmaliela nen i nan wajan mela pil jota kotin mueid on, me japwilim ar Jaraui o pan mor pajan.
27Because thou wilt not leave my soul in hell, nor suffer thy Holy One to see corruption.
28Re kotin kajanjale on ia er al en maur akan; re pan kotin kadir kin ia la popol mon jilan ar.
28Thou hast made known to me the ways of life: thou shalt make me full of joy with thy countenance.
29Ri ai kan mueid on ia, en aima padaki on komail duen jam atail Dawid, me pil matalar o jaredier, o japwilim a joujou mi re atail lao lel ran wet.
29Ye men, brethren, let me freely speak to you of the patriarch David; that he died, and was buried; and his sepulchre is with us to this present day.
30A jaukop amen, ap mani, me Kot kotin kaula inauki on i me kijan wa men pan kaipokedi pon mol a.
30Whereas therefore he was a prophet, and knew that God hath sworn to him with an oath, that of the fruit of his loins one should sit upon his throne.
31Ari, ni a mamani duen en Iejuj a iajada, ap kotin majani, me a jota likidmalielar nan wajan mela, o pil uduk a jota mor pujan.
31Foreseeing this, he spoke of the resurrection of Christ. For neither was he left in hell, neither did his flesh see corruption.
32I lejuj, me Kot kotin kaiajadar, kit karoj jaunkadede en mepukat.
32This Jesus hath God raised again, whereof all we are witnesses.
33A lao japwilekidar pali maun en Kot, a kotin aleer jan ren jam, en kapwaiada inau duen Nen jaraui, ap kotin kamoredi, me komail kin udial o roneron.
33Being exalted therefore by the right hand of God, and having received of the Father the promise of the Holy Ghost, he hath poured forth this which you see and hear.
34Pwe kaidin Dawid, me kotidala nanlan kan, a pein i kotin majani: Kaun o kotin majani on ai Kaun: Mondi ni pali maun i!
34For David ascended not into heaven; but he himself said: The Lord said to my Lord, sit thou on my right hand,
35I lao wiaki om imwintiti utipan na om akan.
35Until I make thy enemies thy footstool.
36Ari, men Ijrael karoj en aja melel, me Kot kotin kajapwilada i, en Kaun o Krijtuj i Iejuj me komail kalopuelar.
36Therefore let all the house of Israel know most certainly, that God hath made both Lord and Christ, this same Jesus, whom you have crucified.
37Irail lao ronadar met, ap lel on nan monion arail, re ap indai on Petruj o wanporon tei kan: Ri at oko, da me jen wiada?
37Now when they had heard these things, they had compunction in their heart, and said to Peter, and to the rest of the apostles: What shall we do, men and brethren?
38Petruj ap majani on irail: Komail kalula, o amen amen en paptaij on ni mar en Iejuj Krijtuj, pwe dip omail akan en lapwada. A komail pan tunole Nen jaraui.
38But Peter said to them: Do penance, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ, for the remission of your sins: and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.
39Pwe nan inau wet on komail o noumail jeri kan, o on irail karoj men iluwei, mo Kaun, atail Kot, pan kotin molipo.
39For the promise is to you, and to your children, and to all that are far off, whomsoever the Lord our God shall call.
40O pil jon en majan toto, me a kadede on irail, o panaui kin irail, majani: Komail en dorela pein komail jan nan di jued wet!
40And with very many other words did he testify and exhort them, saying: Save yourselves from this perverse generation.
41Irail me duki on a majan ap paptaijela; ari, ni ran o aramaj impan jilekid me jaulanalar.
41They therefore that received his word, were baptized; and there were added in that day about three thousand souls.
42Irail dadaurata padak en wanporon akan, o ar minimin pena, o kamadip jaraui, o kapakap akan.
42And they were persevering in the doctrine of the apostles, and in the communication of the breaking of bread, and in prayers.
43Lomwi ap kipadi aramaj karoj o manaman o kilel akan toto wiauier ren wanporon akan.
43And fear came upon every soul: many wonders also and signs were done by the apostles in Jerusalem, and there was great fear in all.
44O karoj me pojonla, kin pokopokon o aneki pena kapwa takij.
44And all they that believed, were together, and had all things common.
45O netikila ar kapwa kan o nene on irail karoj, duen ar jamama amen amen.
45Their possessions and goods they sold, and divided them to all, according as every one had need.
46Irail ari kaukaule wia minimin eu nan im en kaudok o, o pilitiki pena prot nan im ar akan, o re manamana ni popol, o lolepot pena,
46And continuing daily with one accord in the temple, and breaking bread from house to house, they took their meat with gladness and simplicity of heart;
47Kapikapina Kot o konekon ren aramaj karoj. A Kaun o kotiki on momodijou, me dorola kan ni ran karoj.
47Praising God, and having favour with all the people. And the Lord increased daily together such as should be saved.
