Kadede Kap (Pohnpeian New Testament and Psalms)
Douay-Rheims Bible, American Edition (1899)
1A NEN me kotin kokop melel, ni imwin kaua akai pan pupe wei jan pojon, ap id wuki on nen widin o padak en tewil akan,
1Now the Spirit manifestly saith, that in the last times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to spirits of error, and doctrines of devils,
2Me kin janjale mau ki liki, ap likilikam o injen arail kakaluakalar ki kijin mata karakar.
2Speaking lies in hypocrisy, and having their conscience seared,
3Re kin inapwiedi kapapaud, o dene ren liki jan jon en mana, me Kot kotin wiadan irail, me danke, o pojon, o dedekila melel
3Forbidding to marry, to abstain from meats, which God hath created to be received with thanksgiving by the faithful, and by them that have known the truth.
4Pwe audepa karoj, en Kot me mau, o jota meakot me mal, ma aramaj pan tunole ap danke.
4For every creature of God is good, and nothing to be rejected that is received with thanksgiving:
5Pwe a pan kajaraui kila majan Kot o kapakap.
5For it is sanctified by the word of God and prayer.
6Ma koe pan padaki on ri atail akan, koe ap pan papa en Krijtuj Ieiuj mau amen, me kin keleki majan en pojon o padak mau, me koe dadaureta mau lel met.
6These things proposing to the brethren, thou shalt be a good minister of Christ Jesus, nourished up in the words of faith, and of the good doctrine which thou hast attained unto.
7Ma koe pan kan kajoi likam en li laud akai o kaianeki pein uk me kon on Kot.
7But avoid foolish and old wives’ fables: and exercise thyself unto godliness.
8Pwe kaiane kin uk pali war, a jota non katopa, a meid mau paieki Kot ni meakoaroj, pwe iei kaporopor en maur et o pil maur kokodo
8For bodily exercise is profitable to little: but godliness is profitable to all things, having promise of the life that now is, and of that which is to come.
9Nan melel kojoi pot et o a war on kitail en apwaliea.
9A faithful saying and worthy of all acceptation.
10Pwe iet me je kin dodok on o kalokolokki, at kaporoporeki Kot ieiaj, me Jaunkamour en aramaj akan karoj, a maj on irail me pojon.
10For therefore we labor and are reviled, because we hope in the living God, who is the Saviour of all men, especially of the faithful.
11Mepukat koe en katitiki o kaukaweweki.
11These things command and teach.
12Jota amen me pan mamaleki om manakap, a wiala men kaalemoni on jaulan kan, ni om lokaia o wiawia kan, o limpok, o pojon, o makelekel.
12Let no man despise thy youth: but be thou an example of the faithful in word, in conversation, in charity, in faith, in chastity.
13O nantion wadok, o panaui, o padak lao i pan pwar wei.
13Till I come, attend unto reading, to exhortation, and to doctrine.
14Der kajamal la pai en mak o, me koe aleer ki deideikop o ni en jaunkoa kan ar pwil pa ar po om.
14Neglect not the grace that is in thee, which was given thee by prophesy, with imposition of the hands of the priesthood.
15Koe en podidi o jopijokki mepukat, pwe om lolekon en janjal on karoj.
15Meditate upon these things, be wholly in these things: that thy profiting may be manifest to all.
16Kalaka pein uk o padak o, tenedi on jon pukat, pwe ma koe pan wiada due, koe ap pan dorela pein uk o pil, me kin ron uk.
16Take heed to thyself and to doctrine: be earnest in them. For in doing this thou shalt both save thyself and them that hear thee.
