1و نهری از آب حیات به من نشان داد که درخشنده بود، مانند بلور و از تخت خدا و بره جاری می‌شود.
1And he showed me a river of water of life, clear as crystal, proceeding from the throne of God and of the Lamb.
2و در وسط شارع عام آن و بر هر دو کناره نهر، درخت حیات را که دوازده میوه می‌آورد یعنی هر ماه میوه خود رامی دهد؛ و برگهای آن درخت برای شفای امت هامی باشد.
2In the midst of the street thereof, and on both sides of the river, was the tree of life, bearing twelve fruits, yielding its fruits every month, and the leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations.
3و دیگر هیچ لعنت نخواهد بود و تخت خدا و بره در آن خواهد بود و بندگانش او راعبادت خواهند نمود.
3And there shall be no curse any more; but the throne of God and of the Lamb shall be in it, and his servants shall serve him.
4و چهره او را خواهنددید و اسم وی بر پیشانی‌ایشان خواهد بود.
4And they shall see his face: and his name shall be on their foreheads.
5ودیگر شب نخواهد بود و احتیاج به چراغ و نورآفتاب ندارند، زیرا خداوند خدا بر ایشان روشنایی می‌بخشد و تا ابدالاباد سلطنت خواهندکرد.
5And night shall be no more: and they shall not need the light of the lamp, nor the light of the sun, because the Lord God shall enlighten them, and they shall reign for ever and ever.
6و مرا گفت: «این کلام امین و راست است وخداوند خدای ارواح انبیا، فرشته خود را فرستادتا به بندگان خود آنچه را که زود می‌باید واقع شود، نشان دهد.»
6And he said to me: These words are most faithful and true. And the Lord God of the spirits of the prophets sent his angel to shew his servants the things which must be done shortly.
7«و اینک به زودی می‌آیم. خوشابحال کسی‌که کلام نبوت این کتاب را نگاه دارد.»
7And, Behold I come quickly. Blessed is he that keepeth the words of the prophecy of this book.
8و من، یوحنا، این امور را شنیدم و دیدم وچون شنیدم و دیدم، افتادم تا پیش پایهای آن فرشته‌ای که این امور را به من نشان داد سجده کنم.
8And I, John, who have heard and seen these things. And after I had heard and seen, I fell down to adore before the feet of the angel, who shewed me these things.
9او مرا گفت: «زنهار نکنی، زیرا که همخدمت با تو هستم و با انبیا یعنی برادرانت و باآنانی که کلام این کتاب را نگاه دارند. خدا راسجده کن.»
9And he said to me: See thou do it not: for I am thy fellow servant, and of thy brethren the prophets, and of them that keep the words of the prophecy of this book. Adore God.
10و مرا گفت: «کلام نبوت این کتاب را مهر مکن زیرا که وقت نزدیک است.
10And he saith to me: Seal not the words of the prophecy of this book: for the time is at hand.
11هر‌که ظالم است، باز ظلم کند و هر‌که خبیث است، بازخبیث بماند و هر‌که عادل است، باز عدالت کند وهر‌که مقدس است، باز مقدس بشود.»
11He that hurteth, let him hurt still: and he that is filthy, let him be filthy still: and he that is just, let him be justified still: and he that is holy, let him be sanctified still.
12«و اینک به زودی می‌آیم و اجرت من با من است تا هر کسی را بحسب اعمالش جزا دهم.
12Behold, I come quickly; and my reward is with me, to render to every man according to his works.
13من الف و یاء و ابتدا و انتها و اول و آخر هستم
13I am Alpha and Omega, the first and the last, the beginning and the end.
14خوشابحال آنانی که رختهای خود رامی شویند تا بر درخت حیات اقتدار یابند و به دروازه های شهر درآیند،
14Blessed are they that wash their robes in the blood of the Lamb: that they may have a right to the tree of life, and may enter in by the gates into the city.
15زیرا که سگان وجادوگران و زانیان و قاتلان و بت‌پرستان و هر‌که دروغ را دوست دارد و بعمل آورد، بیرون می‌باشند.
15Without are dogs, and sorcerers, and unchaste, and murderers, and servers of idols, and every one that loveth and maketh a lie.
16من عیسی فرشته خود را فرستادم تاشما را در کلیساها بدین امور شهادت دهم. من ریشه و نسل داود و ستاره درخشنده صبح هستم.»
16I Jesus have sent my angel, to testify to you these things in the churches. I am the root and stock of David, the bright and morning star.
17و روح و عروس می‌گویند: «بیا!» و هر‌که می‌شنود بگوید: «بیا!» و هر‌که تشنه باشد، بیاید وهر‌که خواهش دارد، از آب حیات بی‌قیمت بگیرد.
17And the spirit and the bride say: Come. And he that heareth, let him say: Come. And he that thirsteth, let him come: and he that will, let him take the water of life, freely.
18زیرا هر کس را که کلام نبوت این کتاب را بشنود، شهادت می‌دهم که اگر کسی بر آنهابیفزاید، خدا بلایای مکتوب در این کتاب را بروی خواهد افزود.
18For I testify to every one that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book: If any man shall add to these things, God shall add unto him the plagues written in this book.
19و هر گاه کسی از کلام این نبوت چیزی کم کند، خدا نصیب او را از درخت حیات و از شهر مقدس و از چیزهایی که در این کتاب نوشته است، منقطع خواهد کرد.
19And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from these things that are written in this book.
20او که بر این امور شاهد است، می‌گوید: «بلی، به زودی می‌آیم!» آمین. بیا، ای خداوند عیسی!
20He that giveth testimony of these things, saith, Surely I come quickly: Amen. Come, Lord Jesus.
21فیض خداوند ما عیسی مسیح با همه شماباد. آمین.
21The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all. Amen.
