1တဖန်တုံယေရှုက၊ သင် တို့ စိတ် နှလုံးပူပန် ခြင်းမ ရှိစေနှင့်။ ဘုရားသခင် ကို ယုံကြည် ကြလော့။ ငါ့ ကိုလည်း ယုံကြည် ကြလော့။
1Let not your heart be troubled. You believe in God, believe also in me.
2ငါ့ အဘ ၏အိမ် တော်၌ နေစရာအခန်း များ ရှိ ၏။ သို့ မ ဟုတ်လျှင် မဟုတ်ကြောင်းကိုသင် တို့အား ငါ မပြော ဘဲမနေ။ သင် တို့နေစရာအရပ် ကို ပြင်ဆင် ခြင်းငှာငါသွား ရ၏။
2In my Father’s house there are many mansions. If not, I would have told you: because I go to prepare a place for you.
3ငါသည်သွား ၍ သင် တို့နေစရာ အရပ်ကိုပြင်ဆင် ပြီးမှတစ်ဖန် လာ ပြန်၍ ၊ ငါ ရှိ ရာအရပ် ၌ သင် တို့ရှိ စေခြင်းငှာ သင် တို့ကို ငါ့ ထံသို့ သိမ်းဆည်း မည်။
3And if I shall go, and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and will take you to myself; that where I am, you also may be.
4ငါ သည် အဘယ် အရပ်သို့သွား သည်ကို၎င်း ၊ လမ်း ခရီးကို၎င်း၊ သင်တို့သိ ကြ၏ ဟုမိန့်တော်မူ၏။
4And whither I go you know, and the way you know.
5သောမ ကလည်း၊ သခင် ၊ ကိုယ်တော်သည် အဘယ် အရပ်သို့ သွား တော်မူသည်ကို အကျွန်ုပ်တို့ မ သိ သည်ဖြစ်၍၊ လမ်းခရီး ကိုအဘယ်သို့ သိ နိုင် ပါမည်နည်းဟု လျှောက် လျှင်၊
5Thomas saith to him: Lord, we know not whither thou goest; and how can we know the way?
6ယေရှု က၊ ငါ သည်လမ်း ခရီးဖြစ် ၏။ သမ္မာတရား လည်း ဖြစ်၏။ အသက် လည်း ဖြစ်၏။ ငါ့ ကို အမှီ မ ပြုလျှင် အဘယ်သူ မျှခမည်းတော် ထံသို့ မရောက် ရ။
6Jesus saith to him: I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No man cometh to the Father, but by me.
7သင်တို့သည် ငါ့ ကိုသိ လျှင် ငါ့ ခမည်းတော် ကို မသိ ဘဲမနေကြ။ ယခု မှစ၍ ခမည်းတော် ကိုသိ မြင် ကြ၏ ဟု မိန့် တော်မူ၏။
7If you had known me, you would without doubt have known my Father also: and from henceforth you shall know him, and you have seen him.
8ဖိလိပ္ပု ကလည်း၊ သခင် ၊ ခမည်းတော် ကို အကျွန်ုပ် တို့အားပြ တော်မူပါ။ ထိုသို့ပြတော်မူလျှင် အကျွန်ုပ် တို့ အလိုပြည့်စုံ ပါမည်ဟုလျှောက် လျှင်၊
8Philip saith to him: Lord, shew us the Father, and it is enough for us.
9ယေရှု က၊ ဖိလိပ္ပု ၊ ဤမျှကာလ ပတ်လုံး ငါသည်သင် တို့နှင့်အတူ ရှိ ပြီးမှ သင်သည် ငါ့ ကို မ သိ သေး သလော။ ငါ့ ကိုမြင် သောသူ သည်ခမည်းတော် ကိုမြင် ၏။ သို့ဖြစ်လျှင်၊ ခမည်းတော် ကို အကျွန်ုပ် တို့အား ပြ တော်မူပါဟု သင် သည်အဘယ်သို့ ဆို သနည်း။
9Jesus saith to him: Have I been so long a time with you; and have you not known me? Philip, he that seeth me seeth the Father also. How sayest thou, Shew us the Father?
10ငါ သည် ခမည်းတော် ၌ ရှိသည်ကို၎င်း ၊ ခမည်းတော် သည် ငါ ၌ရှိ တော်မူသည်ကို၎င်း မ ယုံ သလော။ ငါ ဟောပြော သောစကား ကို ကိုယ် အလိုအလျောက် ငါဟောပြော သည်မ ဟုတ်။ ငါပြုသောအမှုတို့ကား၊ ငါ ၌ တည်နေ တော်မူသော ခမည်းတော် သည် ပြု တော်မူ၏။
10Do you not believe, that I am in the Father, and the Father in me? The words that I speak to you, I speak not of myself. But the Father who abideth in me, he doth the works.
11ငါ သည် ခမည်းတော် ၌ ရှိသည်ကို၎င်း ၊ ခမည်းတော် သည် ငါ ၌ ရှိတော်မူသည်ကို၎င်း ယုံ ကြလော။ ငါ့ စကားကို မ ယုံလျှင် ၊ ငါ့အမှု တို့ကိုထောက် ၍ယုံ ကြလော့။
11Believe you not that I am in the Father, and the Father in me?
12ငါအမှန်အကန် ဆို သည်ကား၊ ငါ့ ကိုယုံကြည် သောသူ သည်ငါ ပြု သောအမှု တို့ကို ပြု လိမ့်မည်။ ထို အမှုတို့ထက်သာ၍ ကြီးသောအမှုတို့ကိုလည်း ပြု လိမ့်မည်။ အကြောင်းမူကား ၊ ငါ သည် ခမည်းတော် ထံသို့ သွား ၍ ၊
12Otherwise believe for the very works’ sake. Amen, amen I say to you, he that believeth in me, the works that I do, he also shall do; and greater than these shall he do.
13သင်တို့သည် ငါ ၏နာမ ကိုအမှီပြု လျက် ဆုတောင်း သမျှ အတိုင်း ငါပြု မည်။ အကြောင်းမူကား၊ ခမည်းတော် သည် သား တော်အားဖြင့် ဘုန်း ထင်ရှားတော်မူခြင်းရှိမည်အကြောင်း တည်း။
13Because I go to the Father: and whatsoever you shall ask the Father in my name, that will I do: that the Father may be glorified in the Son.
14သင်တို့သည် ငါ ၏နာမ ကိုအမှီပြု ၍ တစ်စုံတစ်ခု သောဆုကိုတောင်း လျှင် ၊ တောင်းသည်အတိုင်းငါ ပြု မည်။
14If you shall ask me any thing in my name, that I will do.
15ငါ့ ကိုချစ် လျှင် ငါ့ ပညတ် တို့ကို စောင့်ရှောက် ကြလော့။ ငါ သည် ခမည်းတော် ကိုတောင်း ၍ ၊
15If you love me, keep my commandments.
16ခမည်းတော်သည် သမ္မာတရား ကိုပြသော ဝိညာဉ် တော်တည်းဟူသောတစ်ပါး သောဥပဇ္စျာယ် ဆရာကို သင် တို့နှင့်အတူ အစဉ်မပြတ် တည်နေ စေခြင်းငှာ သင် တို့အားပေး တော်မူမည်။
16And I will ask the Father, and he shall give you another Paraclete, that he may abide with you for ever.
17ထို ဝိညာဉ်တော်ကို လောကီသား တို့သည် မ သိ မ မြင် သောကြောင့် မ ခံ မယူနိုင် ကြ။ ထိုဝိညာဉ် တော် သည် သင် တို့နှင့်အတူ တည်နေ ၍ ၊ သင် တို့၌ ရှိ တော်မူသောကြောင့် သင် တို့သိ ရကြ၏။
17The spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, nor knoweth him: but you shall know him; because he shall abide with you, and shall be in you.
18ငါသည် သင် တို့ကို မိဘမဲ့ ဖြစ်စေခြင်းငှာစွန့်ပစ် မည်မ ဟုတ်။ သင် တို့ဆီသို့ လာ ဦးမည်။
18I will not leave you orphans, I will come to you.
19ခဏ ကြာပြီးမှ လောကီသား တို့သည် ငါ့ ကိုမ မြင် ရကြ။ သင် တို့မူကား မြင် ရကြလိမ့်မည်။ ငါ သည် အသက်ရှင် သောကြောင့် သင် တို့သည်လည်း အသက်ရှင် ရကြလိမ့်မည်။
19Yet a little while: and the world seeth me no more. But you see me: because I live, and you shall live.
20ငါ သည် ခမည်းတော် ၌ ရှိသည်ကို၎င်း ၊ သင် တို့သည်ငါ ၌ ရှိသည်ကို၎င်း။ ငါ သည် သင် တို့၌ ရှိသည်ကို ၎င်း၊ ထို နေ့ ၌ သင် တို့သည် သိ ရကြလိမ့်မည်။
20In that day you shall know, that I am in my Father, and you in me, and I in you.
21ငါ့ ပညတ် တို့ကိုရ ၍ စောင့်ရှောက် သောသူ သည် ငါ့ ကိုချစ် သောသူ ဖြစ် ၏။ ငါ့ ကိုချစ် သောသူ ကို ငါ့ ခမည်းတော် သည်ချစ် တော်မူမည်။ ငါ သည်လည်း ထိုသူ ကိုချစ် ၍ သူ့ အားကိုယ်တိုင် ထင်ရှား မည် ဟု မိန့် တော်မူ၏။
21He that hath my commandments, and keepeth them; he it is that loveth me. And he that loveth me, shall be loved of my Father: and I will love him, and will manifest myself to him.
22ယုဒရှကာရုတ် မ ဟုတ်၊ အခြားသောယုဒ က၊ သခင် ၊ ကိုယ်တော်သည် လောကီသား တို့အား မ ထင်ရှား ဘဲ အကျွန်ုပ် တို့အား အဘယ်သို့ ထင်ရှား တော်မူမည်နည်းဟု မေးလျှောက် ၏။
22Judas saith to him, not the Iscariot: Lord, how is it, that thou wilt manifest thyself to us, and not to the world?
23ယေရှု ကလည်း ၊ ငါ့ ကိုချစ် သောသူ သည် ငါ့ စကား ကို နားထောင် လိမ့်မည်။ ငါ့ ခမည်းတော် သည် ထိုသူ ကို ချစ် တော်မူသည်။ ငါတို့သည်လည်း၊ သူ ဆီသို့ ကြွ ၍ နေရာ ချမည်။
23Jesus answered, and said to him: If any one love me, he will keep my word, and my Father will love him, and we will come to him, and will make our abode with him.
24ငါ့ ကိုမ ချစ် သောသူ သည် ငါ့ စကား ကို နားမ ထောင်။ သင်တို့ကြား သောစကား သည် ငါ့ စကားမ ဟုတ် ။ ငါ့ ကို စေလွှတ် တော်မူသော ခမည်းတော် ၏စကားတော်ဖြစ်၏။
24He that loveth me not, keepeth not my words. And the word which you have heard, is not mine; but the Father’s who sent me.
25ငါသည် သင်တို့နှင့်အတူ ရှိ စဉ်တွင် ဤ စကားကိုပြော ခဲ့ပြီ။
25These things have I spoken to you, abiding with you.
26ခမည်းတော် သည် ငါ့ အတွက်ကြောင့် စေလွှတ် တော်မူသောဥပဇ္ဈာယ် ဆရာတည်းဟူသောသန့်ရှင်း သော ဝိညာဉ် တော်သည် သင် တို့အား ခပ်သိမ်း သောအရာတို့ကို ပြသ သွန်သင်တော်မူ၍ ၊ ငါ ပြော ခဲ့သမျှ သော စကားတို့ကို မှတ်မိ သောဥာဏ်ကို သင် တို့အား ပေးတော်မူ၏။
26But the Paraclete, the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he will teach you all things, and bring all things to your mind, whatsoever I shall have said to you.
27ငြိမ်သက် ခြင်းကို သင် တို့၌ငါထား ခဲ့၏။ ငါ ၏ငြိမ်သက် ခြင်းကို သင် တို့အား ငါပေး ၏။ လောကီသား တို့ ပေး သကဲ့သို့ ငါ ပေး သည်မ ဟုတ်။ သင် တို့ စိတ် နှလုံးပူပန် ခြင်း၊ စိုးရိမ် တုန်လှုပ်ခြင်းမ ရှိစေနှင့်။
27Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, do I give unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, nor let it be afraid.
28ငါသည် ယခုသွား သော်လည်း သင် တို့ဆီသို့ လာ ဦးမည်ဟု ငါ ပြော သောစကားကို သင် တို့ကြား ရကြပြီ။ သင်တို့သည် ငါ့ ကိုချစ် လျှင် ခမည်းတော် ထံသို့ ငါသွား မည်ကို ဝမ်းမြောက် ကြလိမ့်မည်။ အကြောင်းမူကား ၊ ငါ့ ခမည်းတော် သည် ငါ့ ထက် သာ၍ကြီးမြတ်တော်မူ၏။
28You have heard that I said to you: I go away, and I come unto you. If you loved me, you would indeed be glad, because I go to the Father: for the Father is greater than I.
29ထိုအမှုအရာရောက် သောအခါ သင်တို့သည်ယုံကြည် စေခြင်းငှာ၊ မ ရောက် မှီယခုပင် သင် တို့အား ငါ ပြော နှင့်ပြီ။
29And now I have told you before it comes to pass: that when it shall come to pass, you may believe.
30ယခုမှစ၍ ငါသည်သင် တို့နှင့် များစွာ မ ပြော ရ။ အကြောင်းမူကား ၊ ဤလောက ကို အစိုးရ သောမင်းသည် လာ ဆဲဖြစ်၏။ လာသော်လည်းငါ ၌ အဘယ်အခွင့်အရာကိုမျှ မ တွေ့ ရ။
30I will not now speak many things with you. For the prince of this world cometh, and in me he hath not any thing.
31ငါသည် ခမည်းတော် ကိုချစ် သည်ကို ၎င်း ၊ ခမည်းတော် မှာ တော်မူသည်အတိုင်း ငါပြု သည်ကို ၎င်း၊ လောကီသား တို့သိ မည်အကြောင်း တည်း။ ဤ အရပ်မှ ထ ၍သွား ကြကုန်အံ့။
31But that the world may know, that I love the Father: and as the Father hath given me commandment, so do I: Arise, let us go hence.
