1ဒါဝိဒ် ၏သား တော်ရှောလမုန် သည်၊ မိမိ ဘုရားသခင် ထာဝရဘုရား မစတော်မူခြင်း၊ အလွန်ချီးမြှောက် တော်မူခြင်းကျေးဇူးကြောင့်၊ မိမိအာဏာတော် တည်ကြည် မြဲမြံသောအခါ၊
1And Solomon the son of David was strengthened in his kingdom, and the Lord his God was with him, and magnified him to a high degree.
2လူတထောင် အုပ်၊ တရာ အုပ်၊ တရားသူကြီး ၊ ဣသရေလ မင်း အပေါင်း တို့နှင့် အဆွေအမျိုးသူကြီး အစ ရှိသောဣသရေလ အမျိုးသားအပေါင်း တို့ကို ခေါ် ၍၊
2And Solomon gave orders to all Israel, to the captains of thousands, and of hundreds, and to the rulers, and to the judges of all Israel, and the heads of the families:
3တော ၌ ထာဝရဘုရား ၏ကျွန် မောရှေ လုပ် ခဲ့ သော ဘုရားသခင် ၏ပရိသတ် စည်းဝေးရာ တဲ တော်သည် ဂိဗောင် မြို့တွင် မြင့် သောအရပ်၌ ရှိသည်ဖြစ်၍ထို အရပ် သို့ ပရိသတ် အပေါင်း တို့နှင့်အတူ သွား တော်မူ၏။
3And he went with all the multitude to the high place of Gabaon, where was the tabernacle of the covenant of the Lord, which Moses the servant of God made, in the wilderness.
4ဘုရားသခင် ၏ သေတ္တာ တော်ကို ကား ဒါဝိဒ် ပြင်ဆင် သောအရပ်၊ ယေရုရှလင် မြို့၌ ဆောက် နှင့် သောတဲ သို့ ကိရယတ်ယာရိမ် မြို့မှ ဆောင် ခဲ့သော်လည်း၊
4For David had brought the ark of God from Cariathiarim to the place, which he had prepared for it, and where he had pitched a tabernacle for it, that is, in Jerusalem.
5ဟုရ သား ဖြစ်သော ဥရိ ၏သား ဗေဇလေလ လုပ် ခဲ့သော ကြေးဝါ ယဇ် ပလ္လင်ကို ထာဝရဘုရား ၏ တဲ တော်ရှေ့ မှာထား သောကြောင့်၊ ရှောလမုန် နှင့် ပရိသတ် တို့သည် ထိုယဇ်ပလ္လင်သို့ သွားကြ၏။
5And the altar of brass, which Beseleel the son of Uri the son of Hur had made, was there before the tabernacle of the Lord: and Solomon and all the assembly sought it:
6ထိုသို့ ပရိသတ်စည်းဝေး ရာတဲ တော်ရှေ့ ၊ ထာဝရဘုရား ရှေ့ တော်၌ရှိသောကြေးဝါ ယဇ် ပလ္လင်သို့ ရှောလမုန် ရောက် ၍ ထိုပလ္လင် ပေါ် မှာ မီးရှို့ ရာယဇ်တထောင် ကို ပူဇော် လေ၏။
6And Solomon went up thither to the brazen altar, before the tabernacle of the covenant of the Lord, and offered up on it a thousand victims.
7ထို ညဉ့် တွင် ဘုရားသခင် သည် ရှောလမုန် အား ထင်ရှား လျက် ၊ ငါပေး ရမည့်ဆုကို တောင်း လော့ဟု မိန့် တော်မူ၏။
7And behold that night God appeared to him, saying: Ask what thou wilt that I should give thee.
8ရှောလမုန် ကလည်း ၊ ကိုယ်တော် သည် အကျွန်ုပ် အဘ ဒါဝိဒ် ၌ များစွာ သော ကျေးဇူး ကိုပြု တော်မူပြီ။ အဘ အရာ ၌လည်း အကျွန်ုပ် ကို နန်းထိုင် စေတော်မူပြီ။
8And Solomon said to God: Thou hast shewn great kindness to my father David: and hast made me king in his stead.
9ယခု မှာ အိုထာဝရ အရှင်ဘုရားသခင် ၊ မြေမှုန့် များသကဲ့သို့ အရေအတွက်အားဖြင့်များပြား သော လူ တို့၏ ရှင် ဘုရင်အရာ၌ အကျွန်ုပ် ကို ချီးမြှောက်တော်မူသောကြောင့် အဘ ဒါဝိဒ် ၌ ထားသော ဂတိတော် ကို တည် စေတော်မူပါ။
9Now therefore, O Lord God, let thy word be fulfilled, which thou hast promised to David my father: for thou hast made me king over thy great people, which is as innumerable as the dust of the earth.
10အကျွန်ုပ် သည် ဤ လူ တို့ရှေ့ မှာထွက် ဝင်နိုင် မည်အကြောင်း ဉာဏ် ပညာ ကို ပေး သနားတော်မူပါ။ ဤ မျှလောက်များစွာ သော ကိုယ်တော် ၏ လူ တို့ကို အဘယ်သူ သည် ကိုယ်အလိုအလျောက်တရား စီရင်နိုင်ပါမည်နည်းဟု တောင်း လျှောက်၏။
10Give me wisdom and knowledge that I may come in and go out before thy people: for who can worthily judge this thy people, which is so great?
11ဘုရားသခင် ကလည်း ၊ သင်သည် ထိုသို့အောက်မေ့ ၍ စည်းစိမ် ဥစ္စာ ဂုဏ် အသရေကို မတောင်း၊ ရန်သူ တို့ ၏ အသက် ကိုလည်း မ တောင်း ၊ တာရှည် သော အသက် ကိုလည်း မ တောင်း ၊ ငါခန့်ထား၍ သင်အစိုး ရသောငါ ၏ လူမျိုး ကို တရားစီရင်ခြင်းငှါတတ်နိုင်သော ဉာဏ် ပညာ ကိုသာ ကိုယ် အဘို့ တောင်း သောကြောင့် ၊ ဉာဏ် ပညာကို ငါပေး ၏။
11And God said to Solomon: Because this choice hath pleased thy heart, and thou hast not asked riches, and wealth, and glory, nor the lives of them that hate thee, nor many days of life: but hast asked wisdom and knowledge, to be able to judge my people, over which I have made thee king,
12ထိုမှတပါး သင့် ရှေ့ မှာဖြစ် ဘူးသော ရှင်ဘုရင်နှင့် သင့် နောက် ၌ ဖြစ် လတံ့ သော ရှင်ဘုရင် တယောက်မျှ မမှီနိုင်မည်အကြောင်း၊ စည်းစိမ် ဥစ္စာ ၊ ဂုဏ် အသရေကိုလည်း ငါပေး မည်ဟု မိန့်တော်မူ၏။
12Wisdom and knowledge are granted to thee: and I will give thee riches, and wealth, and glory, so that none of the kings before thee, nor after thee, shall be like thee.
13ထိုအခါ ရှောလမုန် သည် ဂိဗောင် မြို့တွင် မြင့် သောအရပ်၌ ရှိသောပရိသတ်စည်းဝေး ရာ တဲ တော်ရှေ့ မှ သည် ယေရုရှလင် မြို့သို့ ပြန် သွား၍ ၊ ဣသရေလ ပြည်ကို အုပ်စိုး လျက်နေတော်မူ၏။
13Then Solomon came from the high place of Gabaon to Jerusalem before the tabernacle of the covenant, and reigned over Israel.
14ထိုနောက် ရှောလမုန် သည် ရထား များ၊ မြင်းစီး သူရဲများကို ဆည်းဖူး ၍ ၊ ရထား တထောင် နှင့် လေး ရာ ၊ မြင်းစီး သူရဲတသောင်း နှစ် ထောင်ရှိ ၏။ ရထား ထိန်းမြို့ တို့ ၌ ၎င်း၊ ယေရုရှလင် မြို့ အထံတော်၌ ၎င်း ထား ၏။
14And he gathered to himself chariots and horsemen, and he had a thousand four hundred chariots, and twelve thousand horsemen: and he placed them in the cities of the chariots, and with the king in Jerusalem.
15ရှင် ဘုရင်သည် ယေရုရှလင် မြို့၌ ရွှေ ငွေ ကို ကျောက်ခဲ ကဲ့သို့ ၎င်း ၊ အာရဇ် ပင်တို့ကို လွင်ပြင် ၌ ပေါက် သော သဖန်း ပင်ကဲ့သို့ ၎င်း၊ များပြား စေ ၏။
15And the king made silver and gold to be in Jerusalem as stones, and cedar trees as sycamores, which grow in the plains in great multitude.
16ရှောလမုန် ထံသို့ မြင်း များကို အဲဂုတ္တု ပြည်၊ ကော မြို့မှ ဆောင် ခဲ့ရ၏။ ရှင်ဘုရင် ကုန်သည် တို့သည် အဘိုး ပေးလျက် ၊ ကော မြို့၌ ခံယူ ရကြ၏။
16And there were horses brought him from Egypt, and from Coa by the king’s merchants, who went, and bought at a price,
17အဲဂုတ္တု ပြည်မှ ရထား တခုကိုငွေ ခြောက် ပိဿာ နှင့် ၎င်း၊ မြင်း တစီးကို တပိဿာ ငါးဆယ် နှင့် ၎င်း ရောင်းမြဲရှိ၏။ ထိုသို့ ဟိတ္တိ မင်းကြီး နှင့် ၊ ရှုရိ မင်းကြီး အပေါင်း တို့သည် အဲဂုတ္တု ရထားနှင့် မြင်းတို့ကိုရတတ်ကြ၏။
17A chariot of four horses for six hundred pieces of silver, and a horse for a hundred and fifty: in like manner market was made in all the kingdoms of the Hethites, and of the kings of Syria.
