Mwet Nununku 2

Bible Mutal (Kosraean)
JPS Tanakh (Jewish Publication Society, 1917)
1And the angel of the LORD came up from Gilgal to Bochim. And he said: '...I made you to go up out of Egypt, and have brought you unto the land which I swore unto your fathers; and I said: I will never break My covenant with you;
2Kowos in tia oru kutena wulela yurin mwet su muta in acn se inge. Kowos enenu in lipikya loang lalos. Tuh pa kowos tiana oru ma nga fahk nu suwos, a kowos oru siena!
2and ye shall make no covenant with the inhabitants of this land; ye shall break down their altars; but ye have not hearkened unto My voice; what is this ye have done?
3Inge nga fahk nu suwos, nga fah tia lusla mwet inge liki acn se inge ke kowos utyak in eis acn selos.
3Wherefore I also said: I will not drive them out from before you; but they shall be unto you as snares, and their gods shall be a trap unto you.'
4Ke lipufan sac fahk ma inge tari, mwet Israel nukewa elos mutawauk in wowoyak.
4And it came to pass, when the angel of the LORD spoke these words unto all the children of Israel, that the people lifted up their voice, and wept.
5Ke sripa se inge elos sang inen acn sac Bochim. ac elos orek kisa nu sin LEUM GOD we.
5And they called the name of that place Bochim; and they sacrificed there unto the LORD.
6Joshua el sap mwet Israel in folokla, na kais sie selos som okaki in acn se itukyang tuh in ma lal.
6Now when Joshua had sent the people away, the children of Israel went every man unto his inheritance to possess the land.
7Mwet Israel nukewa elos orekma nu sin LEUM GOD ke lusen moul lal Joshua, na tukun el misa ah, elos srakna orekma nu sin LEUM GOD ke mwet kol tokol Joshua elos srakna moul, su tuh sifacna liye orekma yohk lun LEUM GOD nu sin mwet Israel ke mutalos.
7And the people served the LORD all the days of Joshua, and all the days of the elders that outlived Joshua, who had seen all the great work of the LORD, that He had wrought for Israel.
8And Joshua the son of Nun, the servant of the LORD, died, being a hundred and ten years old.
9El pukpuki in acn sel sifacna su pangpang Timnath Serah, su oan yen tohktok in acn Ephraim, epang in Fineol Gaash.
9And they buried him in the border of his inheritance in Timnath-heres, in the hill-country of Ephraim, on the north of the mountain of Gaash.
10Ke mwet nukewa in fwil sac misa, na fwil se tokolos elos mulkunla LEUM GOD ac ma nukewa El tuh oru nu sin mwet Israel.
10And also all that generation were gathered unto their fathers; and there arose another generation after them, that knew not the LORD, nor yet the work which He had wrought for Israel.
11Mwet Israel elos orekma koluk ye mutun LEUM GOD ac elos mutawauk in kulansupu god pukanten pangpang Baal.
11And the children of Israel did that which was evil in the sight of the LORD, and served the Baalim.
12And they forsook the LORD, the God of their fathers, who brought them out of the land of Egypt, and followed other gods, of the gods of the peoples that were round about them, and worshipped them; and they provoked the LORD.
13And they forsook the LORD, and served Baal and the Ashtaroth.
14Na LEUM GOD El arulana mulat sin mwet Israel, ac El lela tuh mwet lokoalok lalos in tuku pisre ma lalos. El fuhlela tuh mwet lokoalok su raunelosla in ku lukelos, ac mwet Israel elos koflana lainulos.
14And the anger of the LORD was kindled against Israel, and He delivered them into the hands of spoilers that spoiled them, and He gave them over into the hands of their enemies round about, so that they could not any longer stand before their enemies.
15Pacl nukewa mwet Israel uh fin som in mweun, LEUM GOD El ac tia welulos, a El ac lainulos in oana ke El tuh fahk nu selos ah. Inge mwet Israel elos muta in ongoiya lulap.
15Whithersoever they went out, the hand of the LORD was against them for evil, as the LORD had spoken, and as the LORD had sworn unto them; and they were sore distressed.
16Na LEUM GOD El pakiya mwet nununku in molela mwet Israel liki mwet lokoalok lalos.
16And the LORD raised up judges, who saved them out of the hand of those that spoiled them.
17Tusruktu, mwet Israel elos tiana porongo mwet kol lalos inge. Mwet matu lalos ah tuh akos ma sap lun LEUM GOD , tusruktu fwil sasu se inge, elos tiana.
17And yet they hearkened not unto their judges, for they went astray after other gods, and worshipped them; they turned aside quickly out of the way wherein their fathers walked, obeying the commandments of the LORD; they did not so.
18Pacl nukewa ma LEUM GOD El ac srukak sie mwet nununku in kol mwet Israel, El ac kasrel ac molela mwet Israel liki mwet lokoalok lalos ke lusenna moul lun mwet nununku sac. LEUM GOD El pakomuta mwet Israel ke sripen sasao lalos ke keok ac ongoiya nu selos.
18And when the LORD raised them up judges, then the LORD was with the judge, and saved them out of the hand of their enemies all the days of the judge; for it repented the LORD because of their groaning by reason of them that oppressed them and crushed them.
19Tusruktu ke pacl se ma mwet nununku se inge ac misa uh, na mwet inge ac sifilpa folokla nu ke moul matu lalos uh, ac orekma koluk yohk liki na mwet matu lalos ah. Elos ac kulansupu ac alu nu sin god saya, ac likkekelana in oru ouiya koluk lalos.
19But it came to pass, when the judge was dead, that they turned back, and dealt more corruptly than their fathers, in following other gods to serve them, and to worship them; they left nothing undone of their practices, nor of their stubborn way.
20And the anger of the LORD was kindled against Israel; and He said: 'Because this nation have transgressed My covenant which I commanded their fathers, and have not hearkened unto My voice;
21nga ac fah tia lusla mutunfacl su tuh muta in acn se inge oe in pacl se ma Joshua el misa ah me.
21I also will not henceforth drive out any from before them of the nations that Joshua left when he died;
22Nga ac fah orekmakin mutunfacl saya inge in srike mwet Israel lah elos ac fahsr tukuk in oana mwet matu lalos ah, ku tia.”
22that by them I may prove Israel, whether they will keep the way of the LORD to walk therein, as their fathers did keep it, or not.'
23Ouinge LEUM GOD El lela tuh mutunfacl inge in mutana acn elos muta we. El tuh tia sang kutangla nu sel Joshua fin mwet inge, oayapa El tia sa in luselosla tukun Joshua el misa ah.
23So the LORD left those nations, without driving them out hastily; neither delivered He them into the hand of Joshua.
