1Now Moses was keeping the flock of Jethro his father-in-law, the priest of Midian; and he led the flock to the farthest end of the wilderness, and came to the mountain of God, unto Horeb.
1摩西 牧養他岳父 米甸 祭司 葉忒羅 的羊群；一日領羊群往野外去，到了上帝的山，就是 何烈山 。
2And the angel of the LORD appeared unto him in a flame of fire out of the midst of a bush; and he looked, and, behold, the bush burned with fire, and the bush was not consumed.
2耶和華的使者從荊棘裏火焰中向 摩西 顯現。 摩西 觀看，不料，荊棘被火燒着，卻沒有燒毀。
3And Moses said: 'I will turn aside now, and see this great sight, why the bush is not burnt.'
3摩西 說：「我要過去看這大異象，這荊棘為何沒有燒壞呢？」
4And when the LORD saw that he turned aside to see, God called unto him out of the midst of the bush, and said: 'Moses, Moses.' And he said: 'Here am I.'
4耶和華上帝見他過去要看，就從荊棘裏呼叫說：「 摩西 ！ 摩西 ！」他說：「我在這裏。」
5And He said: 'Draw not nigh hither; put off thy shoes from off thy feet, for the place whereon thou standest is holy ground.'
5上帝說：「不要近前來。當把你腳上的鞋脫下來，因為你所站之地是聖地」；
6Moreover He said: 'I am the God of thy father, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob.' And Moses hid his face; for he was afraid to look upon God.
6又說：「我是你父親的上帝，是 亞伯拉罕 的上帝， 以撒 的上帝， 雅各 的上帝。」 摩西 蒙上臉，因為怕看上帝。
7And the LORD said: 'I have surely seen the affliction of My people that are in Egypt, and have heard their cry by reason of their taskmasters; for I know their pains;
7耶和華說：「我的百姓在 埃及 所受的困苦，我實在看見了；他們因受督工的轄制所發的哀聲，我也聽見了。我原知道他們的痛苦，
8and I am come down to deliver them out of the hand of the Egyptians, and to bring them up out of that land unto a good land and a large, unto a land flowing with milk and honey; unto the place of the Canaanite, and the Hittite, and the Amorite, and the Perizzite, and the Hivite, and the Jebusite.
8我下來是要救他們脫離 埃及 人的手，領他們出了那地，到美好、寬闊、流奶與蜜之地，就是到 迦南 人、 赫 人、 亞摩利 人、 比利洗 人、 希未 人、 耶布斯 人之地。
9And now, behold, the cry of the children of Israel is come unto Me; moreover I have seen the oppression wherewith the Egyptians oppress them.
9現在 以色列 人的哀聲達到我耳中，我也看見 埃及 人怎樣欺壓他們。
10Come now therefore, and I will send thee unto Pharaoh, that thou mayest bring forth My people the children of Israel out of Egypt.'
10故此，我要打發你去見法老，使你可以將我的百姓 以色列 人從 埃及 領出來。」
11And Moses said unto God: 'Who am I, that I should go unto Pharaoh, and that I should bring forth the children of Israel out of Egypt?'
11摩西 對上帝說：「我是甚麼人，竟能去見法老，將 以色列 人從 埃及 領出來呢？」
12And He said: 'Certainly I will be with thee; and this shall be the token unto thee, that I have sent thee: when thou hast brought forth the people out of Egypt, ye shall serve God upon this mountain.'
12上帝說：「我必與你同在。你將百姓從 埃及 領出來之後，你們必在這山上事奉我；這就是我打發你去的證據。」
13And Moses said unto God: 'Behold, when I come unto the children of Israel, and shall say unto them: The God of your fathers hath sent me unto you; and they shall say to me: What is His name? what shall I say unto them?'
13摩西 對上帝說：「我到 以色列 人那裏，對他們說：『你們祖宗的上帝打發我到你們這裏來。』他們若問我說：『他叫甚麼名字？』我要對他們說甚麼呢？」
14And God said unto Moses: 'I AM THAT I AM'; and He said: 'Thus shalt thou say unto the children of Israel: I AM hath sent me unto you.'
14上帝對 摩西 說：「我是自有永有的」；又說：「你要對 以色列 人這樣說：『那自有的打發我到你們這裏來。』」
15And God said moreover unto Moses: 'Thus shalt thou say unto the children of Israel: The LORD, the God of your fathers, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob, hath sent me unto you; this is My name for ever, and this is My memorial unto all generations.
15上帝又對 摩西 說：「你要對 以色列 人這樣說：『耶和華－你們祖宗的上帝，就是 亞伯拉罕 的上帝， 以撒 的上帝， 雅各 的上帝，打發我到你們這裏來。』耶和華是我的名，直到永遠；這也是我的紀念，直到萬代。
16Go, and gather the elders of Israel together, and say unto them: The LORD, the God of your fathers, the God of Abraham, of Isaac, and of Jacob, hath appeared unto me, saying: I have surely remembered you, and seen that which is done to you in Egypt.
16你去招聚 以色列 的長老，對他們說：『耶和華－你們祖宗的上帝，就是 亞伯拉罕 的上帝， 以撒 的上帝， 雅各 的上帝，向我顯現，說：我實在眷顧了你們，我也 看見 埃及 人怎樣待你們。
17And I have said: I will bring you up out of the affliction of Egypt unto the land of the Canaanite, and the Hittite, and the Amorite, and the Perizzite, and the Hivite, and the Jebusite, unto a land flowing with milk and honey.
17我也說：要將你們從 埃及 的困苦中領出來，往 迦南 人、 赫 人、 亞摩利 人、 比利洗 人、 希未 人、 耶布斯 人的地去，就是到流奶與蜜之地。』
18And they shall hearken to thy voice. And thou shalt come, thou and the elders of Israel, unto the king of Egypt, and ye shall say unto him: The LORD, the God of the Hebrews, hath met with us. And now let us go, we pray thee, three days' journey into the wilderness, that we may sacrifice to the LORD our God.
18他們必聽你的話。你和 以色列 的長老要去見 埃及 王，對他說：『耶和華－ 希伯來 人的上帝遇見了我們，現在求你容我們往曠野去，走三天的路程，為要祭祀耶和華－我們的上帝。』
19And I know that the king of Egypt will not give you leave to go, except by a mighty hand.
19我知道雖用大能的手， 埃及 王也不容你們去。
20And I will put forth My hand, and smite Egypt with all My wonders which I will do in the midst thereof. And after that he will let you go.
20我必伸手在 埃及 中間施行我一切的奇事，攻擊那地，然後他才容你們去。
21And I will give this people favour in the sight of the Egyptians. And it shall come to pass, that, when ye go, ye shall not go empty;
21我必叫你們在 埃及 人眼前蒙恩，你們去的時候就不至於空手而去。
22but every woman shall ask of her neighbour, and of her that sojourneth in her house, jewels of silver, and jewels of gold, and raiment; and ye shall put them upon your sons, and upon your daughters; and ye shall spoil the Egyptians.'
22但各婦女必向她的鄰舍，並居住在她家裏的女人，要金器銀器和衣裳，好給你們的兒女穿戴。這樣你們就把 埃及 人的 財物 奪去了。」
