1あなたがたのうち、仲間に対して訴えがある時、聖徒たちの前ではなく、あえて義でない人々の前に訴え出る者がいるのですか。
1If any of you has a grievance against another, how dare he go to law before the unrighteous instead of before the saints!
2聖徒たちが世界を裁くことを知らないのですか。世界があなたがたによって裁かれるのなら、ごく小さな問題を裁く資格もないのですか。
2Do you not know that the saints will judge the world? And if you are to judge the world, are you not competent to judge trivial cases?
3われわれが御使いたちを裁くことを知らないのですか。まして、この世の生活に関する事柄は言うまでもありません。
3Do you not know that we will judge angels? How much more the things of this life!
4それなのに、この世の生活に関する問題を裁く時、教会で重んじられていない人々を裁判官に立てるのですか。
4So if you need to settle everyday matters, do you appoint as judges those of no standing in the church?
5私がこう言うのは、あなたがたに恥を覚えさせるためです。兄弟の間を裁定できる知恵ある者が、あなたがたの中には一人もいないのですか。
5I say this to your shame. Is there really no one among you wise enough to arbitrate between his brothers?
6それどころか、兄弟が兄弟を訴え、しかも信じていない人々の前に訴え出ています。
6Instead, one brother goes to law against another, and this in front of unbelievers!
7そもそも互いに訴え合うこと自体が、すでにあなたがたの敗北です。なぜ、むしろ不正を受けないのですか。なぜ、むしろだまし取られるままにしないのですか。
7The very fact that you have lawsuits among you means that you are thoroughly defeated already. Why not rather be wronged? Why not rather be cheated?
8ところが、あなたがた自身が不正を行い、だまし取っています。それも兄弟たちに対してです。
8Instead, you yourselves cheat and do wrong, even against your own brothers!
9それとも、義でない者は神の王国を受け継げないことを知らないのですか。思い違いをしてはいけません。淫らな行いをする者、偶像を礼拝する者、姦淫する者、男娼、男色を行う者、
9Do you not know that the wicked will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: Neither the sexually immoral, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor men who submit to or perform homosexual acts,
10盗む者、貪欲な者、酒に酔う者、人をののしる者、人から奪い取る者は、神の王国を受け継ぐことができません。
10nor thieves, nor the greedy, nor drunkards, nor verbal abusers, nor swindlers, will inherit the kingdom of God.
11あなたがたの中にも、以前はそのような者がいました。しかし、あなたがたは洗われ、聖なる者とされ、主イエスの名とわれわれの神の霊によって義とされました。
11And that is what some of you were. But you were washed, you were sanctified, you were justified, in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and by the Spirit of our God.
12「私にはすべてのことが許されている」と言っても、すべてが有益なわけではありません。「私にはすべてのことが許されている」と言っても、私は何ものにも支配されはしません。
12“Everything is permissible for me,” but not everything is beneficial. “Everything is permissible for me,” but I will not be mastered by anything.
13「食物は腹のため、腹は食物のため」と言っても、神はそのどちらも滅ぼされます。体は淫らな行いのためではなく、主のためにあり、主も体のためにおられます。
13“Food for the stomach and the stomach for food,” but God will destroy them both. The body is not intended for sexual immorality, but for the Lord, and the Lord for the body.
14神は主をよみがえらせ、ご自分の力によってわれわれをもよみがえらせてくださいます。
14By His power God raised the Lord from the dead, and He will raise us also.
15あなたがたの体がキリストの体の一部であることを知らないのですか。それなら、キリストの体の一部を取って、娼婦の体の一部としてよいでしょうか。決してそのようなことがあってはなりません。
15Do you not know that your bodies are members of Christ? Shall I then take the members of Christ and unite them with a prostitute? Never!
16それとも、娼婦と結ばれる者は、その女と一つの体になることを知らないのですか。「二人は一つの肉となる」と神は言われます。
16Or don’t you know that he who unites himself with a prostitute is one with her in body? For it is said, “The two will become one flesh.”
17しかし、主と結ばれる者は、主と一つの霊になります。
17But he who unites himself with the Lord is one with Him in spirit.
18淫らな行いから逃げなさい。「人が犯す罪はすべて体の外にある」と言われますが、淫らな行いをする者は、自分の体そのものに対して罪を犯すのです。
18Flee from sexual immorality. Every other sin a man can commit is outside his body, but he who sins sexually sins against his own body.
19それとも、あなたがたの体は、あなたがたのうちにおられる聖霊の神殿であることを知らないのですか。この聖霊を、あなたがたは神から受けました。あなたがたは自分自身のものではありません。
19Do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own;
20あなたがたは代価を払って買い取られたからです。ですから、自分の体と霊をもって神の栄光を現しなさい。あなたがたの体も霊も神のものです。
20you were bought at a price. Therefore glorify God with your body.
