1ΚΑΙ ἔστησε Δαυὶδ ὁ βασιλεὺς καὶ οἱ ἄρχοντες τῆς δυνάμεως εἰς τὰ ἔργα τοὺς υἱοὺς Ἀσὰφ καὶ Αἰμὰν καὶ Ἰδιθοὺν τοὺς ἀποφθεγγομένους ἐν κινύραις καὶ ἐν νάβλαις καὶ ἐν κυμβάλοις. καὶ ἐγένετο ὁ ἀριθμὸς αὐτῶν κατὰ κεφαλὴν αὐτῶν ἐργαζομένων ἐν τοῖς ἔργοις αὐτῶν.
1Additionally, David and the commanders of the army set apart some of the sons of Asaph, Heman, and Jeduthun to prophesy with the accompaniment of lyres, harps, and cymbals. The following is the list of the men who performed this service:
2υἱοὶ Ἀσάφ, Σακχοὺρ Ἰωσὴφ καὶ Ναθανίας καὶ Ἐραήλ, υἱοὶ Ἀσὰφ ἐχόμενοι τοῦ βασιλέως.
2From the sons of Asaph: Zaccur, Joseph, Nethaniah, and Asarelah. These sons of Asaph were under the direction of Asaph, who prophesied under the direction of the king.
3τῷ Ἰδιθοὺν υἱοὶ Ἰδιθούν· Γοδολίας καὶ Σουρὶ καὶ Ἰσέας καὶ Σεμεΐ καὶ Ἀσαβίας καὶ Ματταθίας, ἓξ μετὰ τὸν πατέρα αὐτῶν Ἰδιθούν, ἐν κινύρᾳ ἀνακρουόμενοι ἐξομολόγησιν καὶ αἴνεσιν τῷ Κυρίῳ.
3From the sons of Jeduthun: Gedaliah, Zeri, Jeshaiah, Shimei, Hashabiah, and Mattithiah—six in all—under the direction of their father Jeduthun, who prophesied with the harp, giving thanks and praise to the LORD.
4τῷ Αἰμὰν υἱοὶ Αἰμάν· Βουκίας καὶ Ματθανίας καὶ Ὀζιὴλ καὶ Σουβαὴλ καὶ Ἰεριμὼθ καὶ Ἀνανίας καὶ Ἀνὰν καὶ Ἑλιαθὰ καὶ Γοδολλαθὶ καὶ Ρωμετθιέζερ καὶ Ἰεσβασακὰ καὶ Μαλλιθὶ καὶ Ὠθηρὶ καὶ Μεαζώθ·
4From the sons of Heman: Bukkiah, Mattaniah, Uzziel, Shebuel, Jerimoth, Hananiah, Hanani, Eliathah, Giddalti, Romamti-ezer, Joshbekashah, Mallothi, Hothir, and Mahazioth.
5πάντες οὗτοι υἱοὶ τῷ Αἰμὰν τῷ ἀνακρουομένῳ τῷ βασιλεῖ ἐν λόγοις Θεοῦ ὑψῶσαι κέρας. καὶ ἔδωκεν ὁ Θεὸς τῷ Αἰμὰν υἱοὺς τεσσαρεσκαίδεκα, καὶ θυγατέρας τρεῖς.
5All these sons of Heman the king’s seer were given him through the promises of God to exalt him, for God had given Heman fourteen sons and three daughters.
6πάντες οὗτοι μετὰ τοῦ πατρὸς αὐτῶν ὑμνῳδοῦντες ἐν οἴκῳ Θεοῦ, ἐν κυμβάλοις καὶ νάβλαις καὶ ἐν κινύραις εἰς τὴν δουλείαν οἴκου τοῦ Θεοῦ, ἐχόμενα τοῦ βασιλέως καὶ Ἀσάφ, καὶ Ἰδιθοὺν καὶ Αἰμάν.
6All these were under the direction of their fathers for the music of the house of the LORD with cymbals, harps, and lyres, for the service of the house of God. Asaph, Jeduthun, and Heman were under the direction of the king.
7καὶ ἐγένετο ὁ ἀριθμὸς αὐτῶν μετὰ τοὺς ἀδελφοὺς αὐτῶν, δεδιδαγμένοι ᾄδειν Κυρίῳ, πᾶς συνιών, διακόσιοι ὀγδοήκοντα καὶ ὀκτώ.
7Together with their relatives, who were all trained and skillful in the songs of the LORD, they numbered 288.
8καὶ ἔλαβον καὶ αὐτοὶ κλήρους ἐφημεριῶν κατὰ τὸν μικρὸν καὶ κατὰ τὸν μέγαν, τελείων καὶ μανθανόντων.
8They cast lots for their duties, young and old alike, teacher as well as pupil.
9καὶ ἐξῆλθεν ὁ κλῆρος ὁ πρῶτος υἱῶν αὐτοῦ καὶ ἀδελφῶν αὐτοῦ τῷ Ἀσὰφ τῷ Ἰωσὴφ Γοδολίας· ὁ δεύτερος Ἡνεία, υἱοὶ αὐτοῦ καὶ ἀδελφοὶ αὐτοῦ δεκαδύο·
9The first lot, which was for Asaph, fell to Joseph, his sons, and his brothers—12 in all; the second to Gedaliah, his sons, and his brothers—12 in all;
10ὁ τρίτος Ζακχούρ, υἱοὶ αὐτοῦ καὶ ἀδελφοὶ αὐτοῦ δεκαδύο·
10the third to Zaccur, his sons, and his brothers—12 in all;
11ὁ τέταρτος Ἰεσρί, υἱοὶ αὐτοῦ καὶ ἀδελφοὶ αὐτοῦ δεκαδύο·
11the fourth to Izri, his sons, and his brothers—12 in all;
12ὁ πέμπτος Ναθανίας, υἱοὶ αὐτοῦ καὶ ἀδελφοὶ αὐτοῦ δεκαδύο·
12the fifth to Nethaniah, his sons, and his brothers—12 in all;
13ὁ ἕκτος Βουκίας, υἱοὶ αὐτοῦ καὶ ἀδελφοὶ αὐτοῦ δεκαδύο·
13the sixth to Bukkiah, his sons, and his brothers—12 in all;
14ὁ ἕβδομος Ἰσεριήλ, υἱοὶ αὐτοῦ καὶ ἀδελφοὶ αὐτοῦ δεκαδύο·
14the seventh to Jesarelah, his sons, and his brothers—12 in all;
15ὁ ὄγδοος Ἰωσία, υἱοὶ αὐτοῦ καὶ ἀδελφοὶ αὐτοῦ δεκαδύο·
15the eighth to Jeshaiah, his sons, and his brothers—12 in all;
16ὁ ἔνατος Ματθανίας, υἱοὶ αὐτοῦ καὶ ἀδελφοὶ αὐτοῦ δεκαδύο·
16the ninth to Mattaniah, his sons, and his brothers—12 in all;
17ὁ δέκατος Σεμεΐα, υἱοὶ αὐτοῦ καὶ ἀδελφοὶ αὐτοῦ δεκαδύο·
17the tenth to Shimei, his sons, and his brothers—12 in all;
18ὁ ἑνδέκατος Ἀσριήλ, υἱοὶ αὐτοῦ καὶ ἀδελφοὶ αὐτοῦ δεκαδύο·
18the eleventh to Azarel, his sons, and his brothers—12 in all;
19ὁ δωδέκατος Ἀσαβία, υἱοὶ αὐτοῦ καὶ ἀδελφοὶ αὐτοῦ δεκαδύο·
19the twelfth to Hashabiah, his sons, and his brothers—12 in all;
20ὁ τρισκαιδέκατος Σουβαήλ, υἱοὶ αὐτοῦ καὶ ἀδελφοὶ αὐτοῦ δεκαδύο·
20the thirteenth to Shubael, his sons, and his brothers—12 in all;
21ὁ τεσσαρεσκαιδέκατος Ματταθίας, υἱοὶ αὐτοῦ καὶ ἀδελφοὶ αὐτοῦ δεκαδύο·
21the fourteenth to Mattithiah, his sons, and his brothers—12 in all;
22ὁ πεντεκαιδέκατος Ἰεριμώθ, υἱοὶ αὐτοῦ καὶ ἀδελφοὶ αὐτοῦ δεκαδύο·
22the fifteenth to Jeremoth, his sons, and his brothers—12 in all;
23ὁ ἑκκαιδέκατος Ἀνανίας, υἱοὶ αὐτοῦ καὶ ἀδελφοὶ αὐτοῦ δεκαδύο·
23the sixteenth to Hananiah, his sons, and his brothers—12 in all;
24ὁ ἑπτακαιδέκατος Ἰεσβασακά, υἱοὶ αὐτοῦ καὶ ἀδελφοὶ αὐτοῦ δεκαδύο·
24the seventeenth to Joshbekashah, his sons, and his brothers—12 in all;
25ὁ ὀκτωκαιδέκατος Ἀνανί, υἱοὶ αὐτοῦ καὶ ἀδελφοὶ αὐτοῦ δεκαδύο·
25the eighteenth to Hanani, his sons, and his brothers—12 in all;
26ὁ ἐννεακαιδέκατος Μαλλιθί, υἱοὶ αὐτοῦ καὶ ἀδελφοὶ αὐτοῦ δεκαδύο·
26the nineteenth to Mallothi, his sons, and his brothers—12 in all;
27ὁ εἰκοστὸς Ἑλιαθά, υἱοὶ αὐτοῦ καὶ ἀδελφοὶ αὐτοῦ δεκαδύο·
27the twentieth to Eliathah, his sons, and his brothers—12 in all;
28ὁ εἰκοστὸς πρῶτος Ὠθηρί, υἱοὶ αὐτοῦ καὶ ἀδελφοὶ αὐτοῦ δεκαδύο·
28the twenty-first to Hothir, his sons, and his brothers—12 in all;
29ὁ εἰκοστὸς δεύτερος Γοδολλαθί, υἱοὶ αὐτοῦ καὶ ἀδελφοὶ αὐτοῦ δεκαδύο·
29the twenty-second to Giddalti, his sons, and his brothers—12 in all;
30ὁ εἰκοστὸς τρίτος Μεαζώθ, υἱοὶ αὐτοῦ καὶ ἀδελφοὶ αὐτοῦ δεκαδύο·
30the twenty-third to Mahazioth, his sons, and his brothers—12 in all;
31ὁ εἰκοστὸς τέταρτος Ρωμετθιέζερ, υἱοὶ αὐτοῦ καὶ ἀδελφοὶ αὐτοῦ δεκαδύο.
31and the twenty-fourth to Romamti-ezer, his sons, and his brothers—12 in all.
