1Voici les fils d’Israël. Ruben, Siméon, Lévi, Juda, Issacar, Zabulon,
1These are the sons of Israel: Reuben, Simeon, Levi, and Judah, Issachar, and Zebulun;
2Dan, Joseph, Benjamin, Nephthali, Gad et Aser.

3Fils de Juda: Er, Onan, Schéla; ces trois lui naquirent de la fille de Schua, la Cananéenne. Er, premier-né de Juda, était méchant aux yeux de l’Éternel, qui le fit mourir.
3The sons of Judah: Er, and Onan, and Shelah; which three were born unto him of Bath-shua the Canaanitess. And Er, Judah's first-born, was wicked in the sight of the LORD; and He slew him.
4Tamar, belle-fille de Juda, lui enfanta Pérets et Zérach. Total des fils de Juda: cinq.
4And Tamar his daughter-in-law bore him Perez and Zerah. All the sons of Judah were five.

6Fils de Zérach: Zimri, Éthan, Héman, Calcol et Dara. En tout: cinq.
6And the sons of Zerah: Zimri, and Ethan, and Heman, and Calcol, and Dara: five of them in all.
7Fils de Carmi: Acar, qui troubla Israël lorsqu’il commit une infidélité au sujet des choses dévouées par interdit.
7And the sons of Carmi: Achar, the troubler of Israel, who committed a trespass concerning the devoted thing.
8Fils d’Éthan: Azaria.
8And the sons of Ethan: Azariah.
9Fils qui naquirent à Hetsron: Jerachmeel, Ram et Kelubaï.
9The sons also of Hezron, that were born unto him: Jerahmeel, and Ram, and Chelubai.
10Ram engendra Amminadab. Amminadab engendra Nachschon, prince des fils de Juda.
10And Ram begot Amminadab; and Amminadab begot Nahshon, prince of the children of Judah;
11Nachschon engendra Salma. Salma engendra Boaz.
11and Nahshon begot Salma, and Salma begot Boaz;
12Boaz engendra Obed. Obed engendra Isaï.
12and Boaz begot Obed, and Obed begot Jesse;
13Isaï engendra Éliab, son premier-né, Abinadab le second, Schimea le troisième,
13and Jesse begot his first-born Eliab, and Abinadab the second, and Shimea the third;
14Nethaneel le quatrième, Raddaï le cinquième,

17Abigaïl enfanta Amasa; le père d’Amasa fut Jéther, l’Ismaélite.
17And Abigail bore Amasa; and the father of Amasa was Jether the Ishmaelite.
18Caleb, fils de Hetsron, eut des enfants d’Azuba, sa femme, et de Jerioth. Voici les fils qu’il eut d’Azuba: Jéscher, Schobab et Ardon.
18And Caleb the son of Hezron begot children of Azubah his wife — and of Jerioth — and these were her sons: Jesher, and Shobab, and Ardon.
19Azuba mourut; et Caleb prit Éphrath, qui lui enfanta Hur.
19And Azubah died, and Caleb took unto him Ephrath, who bore him Hur.
20Hur engendra Uri, et Uri engendra Betsaleel.
20And Hur begot Uri, and Uri begot Bezalel.
21Ensuite, Hetsron alla vers la fille de Makir, père de Galaad, et il avait soixante ans lorsqu’il la prit; elle lui enfanta Segub.
21And afterward Hezron went in to the daughter of Machir the father of Gilead; whom he took to wife when he was threescore years old; and she bore him Segub.
22Segub engendra Jaïr, qui eut vingt-trois villes dans le pays de Galaad.
22And Segub begot Jair, who had three and twenty cities in the land of Gilead.
23Les Gueschuriens et les Syriens leur prirent les bourgs de Jaïr avec Kenath et les villes de son ressort, soixante villes. Tous ceux-là étaient fils de Makir, père de Galaad.
23And Geshur and Aram took Havvoth-jair from them, with Kenath, and the villages thereof, even threescore cities. All these were the sons of Machir the father of Gilead.
24Après la mort de Hetsron à Caleb-Éphratha, Abija, femme de Hetsron, lui enfanta Aschchur, père de Tekoa.
24And after that Hezron was dead in Caleb-ephrath, then Abiah Hezron's wife bore him Ashhur the father of Tekoa.
25Les fils de Jerachmeel, premier-né de Hetsron, furent: Ram, le premier-né, Buna, Oren et Otsem, nés d’Achija.
25And the sons of Jerahmeel the first-born of Hezron were Ram the first-born, and Bunah, and Oren, and Ozem, Ahijah.
26Jerachmeel eut une autre femme, nommée Athara, qui fut mère d’Onam.
26And Jerahmeel had another wife, whose name was Atarah; she was the mother of Onam.
27Les fils de Ram, premier-né de Jerachmeel, furent: Maats, Jamin et Éker.
27And the sons of Ram the first-born of Jerahmeel were Maaz, and Jamin, and Eker.
28Les fils d’Onam furent: Schammaï et Jada. Fils de Schammaï: Nadab et Abischur.
28And the sons of Onam were Shammai, and Jada; and the sons of Shammai: Nadab, and Abishur.
29Le nom de la femme d’Abischur était Abichaïl, et elle lui enfanta Achban et Molid.
29And the name of the wife of Abishur was Abihail; and she bore him Ahban, and Molid.
30Fils de Nadab: Séled et Appaïm. Séled mourut sans fils.
30And the sons of Nadab: Seled, and Appaim; but Seled died without children.
31Fils d’Appaïm: Jischeï. Fils de Jischeï: Schéschan. Fils de Schéschan: Achlaï.
31And the sons of Appaim: Ishi. And the sons of Ishi: Sheshan. And the sons of Sheshan: Ahlai.
32Fils de Jada, frère de Schammaï: Jéther et Jonathan. Jéther mourut sans fils.
32And the sons of Jada the brother of Shammai: Jether, and Jonathan: and Jether died without children.
33Fils de Jonathan: Péleth et Zara. Ce sont là les fils de Jerachmeel.
33And the sons of Jonathan: Peleth, and Zaza. These were the sons of Jerahmeel.
34Schéschan n’eut point de fils, mais il eut des filles. Schéschan avait un esclave égyptien nommé Jarcha.
34Now Sheshan had no sons, but daughters. And Sheshan had a servant, an Egyptian, whose name was Jarha.
35Et Schéschan donna sa fille pour femme à Jarcha, son esclave, à qui elle enfanta Attaï.
35So Sheshan gave his daughter to Jarha his servant to wife; and she bore him Attai.
36Attaï engendra Nathan; Nathan engendra Zabad;
36And Attai begot Nathan, and Nathan begot Zabad;

37and Zabad begot Ephlal, and Ephlal begot Obed;
38Obed engendra Jéhu; Jéhu engendra Azaria;

43Fils d’Hébron: Koré, Thappuach, Rékem et Schéma.
43And the sons of Hebron: Korah, and Tappuah, and Rekem, and Shema.
44Schéma engendra Racham, père de Jorkeam. Rékem engendra Schammaï.
44And Shema begot Raham, the father of Jorkeam; and Rekem begot Shammai.
45Fils de Schammaï: Maon; et Maon, père de Beth-Tsur.
45And the son of Shammai was Maon; and Maon was the father of Beth-zur.
46Épha, concubine de Caleb, enfanta Haran, Motsa et Gazez. Haran engendra Gazez.
46And Ephah, Caleb's concubine, bore Haran, and Moza, and Gazez; and Haran begot Gazez.
47Fils de Jahdaï: Réguem, Jotham, Guéschan, Péleth, Épha et Schaaph.
47And the sons of Jahdai: Regem, and Jotham, and Geshan, and Pelet, and Ephah, and Shaaph.
48Maaca, concubine de Caleb, enfanta Schéber et Tirchana.
48Maacah, Caleb's concubine, bore Sheber and Tirhanah.
49Elle enfanta encore Schaaph, père de Madmanna, et Scheva, père de Macbéna et père de Guibea. La fille de Caleb était Acsa.
49And the wife of Shaaph the father of Madmannah bore Sheva the father of Machbenah and the father of Gibea. And the daughter of Caleb was Achsah.
50Ceux-ci furent fils de Caleb: Schobal, fils de Hur, premier-né d’Éphrata, et père de Kirjath-Jearim;
50These were the sons of Caleb. The sons of Hur the first-born of Ephrath: Shobal the father of Kiriath-jearim;
51Salma, père de Bethléhem; Hareph, père de Beth-Gader.
51Salma the father of Beth-lehem, Hareph the father of Beth-gader.
52Les fils de Schobal, père de Kirjath-Jearim, furent: Haroé, Hatsi-Hammenuhoth.
52And Shobal the father of Kiriath-jearim had sons: Haroeh, and half of the Menuhoth.
53Les familles de Kirjath-Jearim furent: les Jéthriens, les Puthiens, les Schumathiens et les Mischraïens; de ces familles sont sortis les Tsoreathiens et les Eschthaoliens.
53And the families of Kiriath-jearim: the Ithrites, and the Puthites, and the Shumathites, and the Mishraites; of them came the Zorathites, and the Eshtaolites.
54Fils de Salma: Bethléhem et les Nethophatiens, Athroth-Beth-Joab, Hatsi-Hammanachthi, les Tsoreïens;
54The sons of Salma: Beth-lehem, and the Netophathites, Atroth-beth-joab, and half of the Manahathites, the Zorites.
55et les familles des scribes demeurant à Jaebets, les Thireathiens, les Schimeathiens et les Sucathiens. Ce sont les Kéniens, issus de Hamath, père de la maison de Récab.
55And the families of scribes that dwelt at Jabez: the Tirathites, the Shimeathites, the Sucathites. These are the Kenites that came of Hammath, the father of the house of Rechab.
