1And Israel at that time abode in Settim, and the people committed fornication with the daughters of Moab,
1ဣသရေလ အမျိုးသားတို့သည် ရှိတ္တိမ် အရပ်၌ နေ သောအခါ ၊ အချို့တို့သည် မောဘ မိန်းမ တို့နှင့် မတရား သောမေထုန် ကိုပြုကြ၏။
2Who called them to their sacrifices. And they ate of them, and adored their gods.
2ထိုမိန်းမတို့သည် မိမိ တို့ ဘုရား ရှေ့မှာ ယဇ်ပူဇော် ရာပွဲသို့ ဣသရေလလူ တို့ကို ခေါ် သွားသဖြင့် ၊ ယောက်ျားတို့ သည် ယဇ်သားကို စား ၍ ထိုဘုရား ရှေ့မှာ ဦးချ ကြ၏။
3And Israel was initiated to Beelphegor: upon which the Lord being angry,
3ထိုသို့ဣသရေလ အမျိုးသားတို့သည်၊ ဗာလပေဂုရ ဘုရားကို ဆည်းကပ် သောကြောင့် ၊ ထာဝရဘုရား သည် အမျက် ထွက် တော်မူ၏။
4Said to Moses: Take all the princes of the people, and hang them up on gibbets against the sun: that my fury may be turned away from Israel.
4ထာဝရဘုရား ကလည်း ၊ ငါသည်ပြင်းစွာ သော အမျက် တော်ကို ဣသရေလ အမျိုးမှ လွဲ စေခြင်းငှာ ၊ ဣသရေလမင်း အပေါင်း တို့ကို ခေါ် ၍ ၊ ပြစ်မှားသောသူတို့ ကို ဘုရား ရှေ့မှာ ထင်ရှား စွာ ဆွဲထား လော့ဟု မောရှေ အား မိန့် တော်မူ၏။
5And Moses said to the judges of Israel: Let every man kill his neighbours, that have been initiated to Beelphegor.
5မောရှေ သည် ဣသရလ မင်း တို့ကို ခေါ်၍၊ ဗာလပေဂုရ ဘုရားကို ဆည်းကပ် သောသူတို့ ကို သင်တို့အသီးသီး ဆိုင်သည်အတိုင်း ကွပ်မျက် ကြလော့ဟု မှာထား လေ၏။
6And behold one of the children of Israel went in before his brethren to a harlot of Madian, in the sight of Moses, and of all the children of Israel, who were weeping before the door of the tabernacle.
6ထိုအခါ ဣသရေလ အမျိုးသား တယောက်သည်၊ မောရှေ ရှေ့၌ ၎င်း ၊ ပရိသတ်စည်းဝေး ရာ တဲ တော် တံခါး နားမှာ ငိုကြွေး သော ဣသရေလ အမျိုးသား ပရိသတ် အပေါင်း တို့ရှေ့၌ ၎င်း၊ မိဒျန် မိန်းမကိုလည်း၊ မိမိ ညီအစ်ကို တို့ ထံသို့ ဆောင် ခဲ့လေ၏။
7And when Phinees the son of Eleazar the son of Aaron the priest saw it, he rose up from the midst; of the multitude, and taking a dagger,
7ထိုအမှုကို ယဇ်ပုရောဟိတ် အာရုန် ၏သား ဧလာဇာ ၏သား ဖိနဟတ် သည် မြင် လျှင် ၊ ပရိသတ် ထဲမှာ ထ ၍ လှံ ကိုကိုင် လျက်၊
8Went in after the Israelite into the brothel house, and thrust both of them through together, to wit, the man and the woman in the genital parts. And the scourge ceased from the children of Israel:
8ထိုဣသရေလ လူ ကို တဲ အတွင်း သို့ လိုက် ပြီးမှ ၊ ယောက်ျား ကို ထုတ်ချင်းခပ်အောင်၎င်း၊ မိန်းမ ကို ဝမ်းပေါက်အောင်၎င်း ထိုး လေ၏။ ထိုသို့ပြုသောအားဖြင့် ဣသရေလ အမျိုးသား တို့တွင် ဘေး ငြိမ်း လေ၏။
9And there were slain four and twenty thousand men.
9ထိုဘေး ဖြင့် သေ သောလူပေါင်းကား၊ နှစ်သောင်း လေးထောင်ရှိ သတည်း။
10And the Lord said to Moses:
10ထာဝရဘုရား ကလည်း ၊ ငါသည် အမျက် ထွက် ၍ ဣသရေလ အမျိုးသား တို့ကို မ ဖျက်ဆီး မည်အကြောင်း ၊
11Phinees the son of Eleazar the son of Aaron the priest, hath turned away my wrath from the children of Israel: because he was moved with my zeal against them, that I myself might not destroy the children of Israel in my zeal.
11ယဇ်ပုရောဟိတ် အာရုန် ၏သား ဧလာဇာ ၏ သား ၊ ဖိနဟတ် သည် သူ တို့တွင် ငါ့ဘက်၌ စိတ်အားကြီး၍ ငါ့အမျက်ကို သူတို့မှလွှဲပြီ။
12Therefore say to him: Behold I give him the peace of my covenant,
12သို့ဖြစ်၍ သင်ပြော ရသည်ကား၊ ငါ ၏ချမ်းသာ ပဋိညာဉ် ကို သူ့ အား ငါ ပေး ၏။
13And the covenant of the priesthood for ever shall be both to him and his seed, because he hath been zealous for his God, and hath made atonement for the wickedness of the children of Israel.
13သူသည် မိမိဘုရားသခင် ဘက်၌ စိတ်အားကြီး ၍ ဣသရေလ အမျိုးသား တို့အဘို့ အပြစ် ဖြေခြင်းကို ပြုသောကြောင့် ၊ သူ မှစ၍ သားစဉ်မြေးဆက် တို့သည် ထိုပဋိညာဉ်တည်းဟူသောထာဝရ ယဇ်ပုရောဟိတ် အရာနှင့်ဆိုင်သော ပဋိညာဉ် ကို ရပြီဟု မောရှေ အား မိန့် တော်မူ၏။
14And the name of the Israelite, was slain with the woman of Madian, was Zambri the son of Salu, a prince the kindred and tribe of Simeon.
14မိဒျန် မိန်းမနှင့် အသေ သတ်ခြင်းကိုခံရသောဣသရေလ လူ ၏ အမည် ကား၊ ရှိမောင် အမျိုး၌ ထင်ရှားသော အဆွေအမျိုး တွင် အကဲအမှူး သာလု ၏သား ဇိမရိ ဖြစ်သတည်း။
15And the Madianite woman, that was slain with him, was called Cozbi the daughter of Sur, a most noble prince among the Madianites.
15အသေ သတ်ခြင်းကိုခံရသောမိဒျန် မိန်းမ အမည် ကား၊ မိဒျန် အမျိုး၌ ထင်ရှားသော အဆွေအမျိုး တွင် အကဲအမှူး ဇုရ ၏ သမီး ကောဇဘိ ဖြစ် သတည်း။
16And the Lord spoke to Moses, saying:
16ထာဝရဘုရား ကလည်း ၊ မိဒျန် အမျိုးသားတို့ကို နှောင့်ရှက် ၍ လုပ်ကြံ ကြလော့။
17Let the Madianites find you enemies, and slay you them:
17အကြောင်းမူကား ၊ သူတို့သည် ပေဂုရ ဘုရား အမှု ၌ ၎င်း၊ ပေဂုရ ဘုရားကြောင့် ဘေး ရောက်သောနေ့ ၌ အသေ သတ်ခြင်းကို ခံရသောသူ တို့ နှမ မိဒျန် မင်း သမီး ကောဇဘိ အမှု ၌ ၎င်း၊
18Because they also have acted like enemies against you, and have guilefully deceived you by the idol Phogor, and Cozbi their sister, a daughter of a prince of Madian, who was slain in the day the plague for the sacrilege of Phogor.
18သင် တို့ကို ပရိယာယ် များ အားဖြင့် လှည့်စား နှောင့်ရှက် ကြပြီဟု မောရှေ အား မိန့် တော်မူ၏။
