1And when a long time was passed, after that the Lord had given peace to Israel, all the nations round about being subdued, and Josue being now old, and far advanced in years:
1Angraeng mah atue sawk parai thung ahnuk ahmaa misa salak hoi Israel caanawk misa amdinghaih paek pacoengah, Joshua loe saningcoeh boeh moe, mitong boeh.
2Josue called for all Israel, and for the elders, and for the princes, and for the judges, and for the masters, and said to them: I am old, and far advanced in years:
2To naah Joshua mah Israel kaminawk boih, kacoehtanawk, zaehoikungnawk, lokcaekkungnawk hoi ukkungnawk boih to kawk moe, nihcae khaeah, Kai loe saningcoeh boeh moe, mitong boeh;
3And you see all that the Lord your God hath done to all the nations round about, how he himself hath fought for you:
3na Angraeng Sithaw mah nangcae han misa ang tuk pae pongah, na Angraeng Sithaw mah hae prae kaminawk nuiah angsak pae ih hmuennawk to na hnuk o boih boeh.
4And now since he hath divided to you by lot all the land, from the east of the Jordan unto the great sea, and many nations yet remain:
4Khenah, Jordan vapui hoi kamtong niduem bangah kaom kalen parai tuipui khoek to, ka pazawk tangcae kalah prae kaminawk ih praenawk hoi kanghmat nihcae ih prae to, taham khethaih phoisa vah hoiah na caengnawk hanah qawk ah ka paek boeh.
5The Lord your God will destroy them, and take them away from before your face, and you shall possess the land as he hath promised you.
5Na Angraeng mah nangcae khaeah lokkam baktih toengah, na Angraeng Sithaw mah nihcae to nangcae hmaa hoi haek ueloe, nihcae haek boih pacoengah, nihcae ih prae to na toepsak tih.
6Only take courage, and be careful to observe all things that are written in the book of the law of Moses: and turn not aside from them neither to the right hand nor to the left:
6To pongah nangcae loe Mosi ih kaalok cabu thungah tarik ih lok to bantang bangah maw, banqoi bangah maw amkhraeng taak han ai ah, na pazui o moe, na sak o thaih hanah acoe oh;
7Lest after that you are come in among the Gentiles, who will remain among you, you should swear by the name of their gods, and serve them, and adore them:
7nangcae salakah kaom hae kalah prae kaminawk hoi angkom o hmah; nihcae sithawnawk ih ahmin to kawk o hmah loe, nihcae sithaw ih ahmin hoiah lokkamhaih sah o hmah; nihcae ih tok sah o hmah loe, a hmaa ah doeh akuep o hmah:
8But cleave ye unto the Lord your God: as you have done until this day.
8vaihni ni khoek to na sak o ih baktih toengah, na Angraeng Sithaw to kacakah patawn oh.
9And then the Lord God will take away before your eyes nations that are great and very strong, and no man shall be able to resist you.
9Angraeng mah kalen parai, thacak parai acaengnawk to nangcae hmaa hoiah ang haek pae o phaeng boeh; vaihni ni khoek to mi doeh nangcae hmaa ah angdoe o thai ai.
10One of you shall chase a thousand men of the enemies: because the Lord your God himself will fight for you, as he hath promised.
10Anih mah nangcae khaeah lokkam baktih toengah, na Angraeng Sithaw mah nangcae han misatuk pongah, nangcae thung ih kami maeto mah kami sangto na patom o thaih.
11This only take care of with all diligence, that you love the Lord your God.
11To pongah na Angraeng Sithaw palung thai hanah, nangcae loe acoehaih palungthin hoiah kahoih ah khosah oh.
12But if you will embrace the errors of these nations that dwell among you, and make marriages with them, and join friendships:
12Toe hnukbang ah nang nawn o moe, nangcae salakah kanghmat hae kalah prae kaminawk hoiah nang kom o moe, nihcae hoi imthong na krak o pacoengah, nihcae hoi nang kom o nahaeloe,
13Know ye for a certainty that the Lord your God will not destroy them before your face, but they shall be a pit and a snare in your way, and a stumblingblock at your side, and stakes in your eyes, till he take you away and destroy you from off this excellent land, which he hath given you.
13na Angraeng Sithaw mah hae prae kaminawk hae nangcae hmaa hoi na haek pae mak ai boeh; na Angraeng Sithaw mah nangcae han paek ih, hae prae kahoih thungah nang hmaa nang taa o ai karoek to, nihcae loe nangcae han patungh ih thaang hoi dongh ah om o ueloe, panak bohhaih cung hoi miknuen ah om o tih, tiah panoek oh.
14Behold this day I am going into the way of all the earth, and you shall know with all your mind that of all the words which the Lord promised to perform for you, not one hath failed.
14Kai loe vaihi long kaminawk boih caehhaih ahmuen ah ka caeh tom boeh; na Angraeng Sithaw mah ang thuih o ih kahoih loknawk loe maeto doeh, anghmaa ai, tiah palungthin boih hoiah na panoek o; a thuih ih loknawk loe maeto doeh anghmaa ai ah akoep boeh.
15Therefore as he hath fulfilled in deed, what he promised, and all things prosperous have come: so Will he bring upon you all the evils he hath threatened, till he take you away and destroy you from off this excellent land, which he hath given you,
15Toe na Angraeng Sithaw mah nangcae khae lokkam ih kahoih loknawk loe akoep boih baktih toengah, na Angraeng Sithaw mah nangcae han paek ih, kahoih hae prae thung hoiah nangcae anghmasak boih ai karoek to, Angraeng mah kasae hmuennawk nangcae boih nuiah phasak tih.
16When you shall have transgressed the covenant of the Lord your God, which he hath made with you, and shall have served strange gods, and adored them: then shall the indignation of the Lord rise up quickly and speedily against you, and you shall be taken away from this excellent land, which he hath delivered to you.
16Na Angraeng Sithaw mah nangcae khae paek ih, a lokkamhaih to na aek o, anih to nang qoi o taak moe, kalah sithawnawk ih tok to na sak pae o pacoengah, nihcae hmaa ah na kuep o nahaeloe, Angraeng palungphuihaih nangcae nuiah hmai baktiah kangh ueloe, ang paek ih kahoih prae thungah karangah nang hmaa o tih, tiah a naa.
