Baibal Olcim (Matupi Chin)
1These things have I spoken to you, that you may not be scandalized.
1N ' khah uh pawt ham ni nangmih taengah he he ka thui .
2They will put you out of the synagogues: yea, the hour cometh, that whosoever killeth you, will think that he doth a service to God.
2Nangmih te a hael la n'haek uh ni. A tue ha pawk vaengah hlang boeih loh nangmih n'ngawn te Pathen taengkah thothuengnah a khueh la a ngai uh ni .
3And these things will they do to you; because they have not known the Father, nor me.
3Te khaw a Pa neh kai m'ming uh pawt dongah ni a saii uh eh .
4But these things I have told you, that when the hour shall come, you may remember that I told you of them.
4Tedae he he nangmih kan thui coeng. Tedae nangmih taengah ka om dongah hekah he a tongcuek lamloh nangmih ham ka thui moenih ,
5But I told you not these things from the beginning, because I was with you. And now I go to him that sent me, and none of you asketh me: Whither goest thou?
” tila kai nan dawt uh moenih ,
6But because I have spoken these things to you, sorrow hath filled your heart.
6Te phoeiah hekah he nangmih taengah ka thui coeng dongah kothaenah loh nangmih thinko te a koei ,
7But I tell you the truth: it is expedient to you that I go: for if I go not, the Paraclete will not come to you; but if I go, I will send him to you.
7Tedae kai loh nangmih taengah oltak ka thui, Kai ka caeh te nangmih ham rhoei bet. Ka cet pawt koinih nangmih taengah baerhoep te ha pawk mahpawh, Tedae ka caeh atah nangmih taengla anih kan tueih ni .
8And when he is come, he will convince the world of sin, and of justice, and of judgment.
8Anih te ha pawk vaengah Diklai te tholh kawng khaw, duengnah kawng khaw, laitloeknah kawng kha ,
9Of sin: because they believed not in me.
9Kai n'tangnah uh pawt dongah tholhnah kawng ,
10And of justice: because I go to the Father; and you shall see me no longer.
10Pa taengla ka cet vetih kai nan hmuh uh voel pawt ham dongah duengnah kawng khaw ,
11And of judgment: because the prince of this world is already judged.
11He Diklai boei te lai a tloek coeng dongah laitloeknah kawng khaw a toeltham ni .
12I have yet many things to say to you: but you cannot bear them now.
12Nangmih taengah thui ham muep om pueng dae nangmih loh tahae ah na doe uh tloel ,
13But when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will teach you all truth. For he shall not speak of himself; but what things soever he shall hear, he shall speak; and the things that are to come, he shall shew you.
14He shall glorify me; because he shall receive of mine, and shall shew it to you.
14Te long ni kai n'thangpom eh.
15All things whatsoever the Father hath, are mine. Therefore I said, that he shall receive of mine, and shew it to you.
15Pa loh a khueh boeih te kai kah ni, Te dongah , ' Kamah kah te a doe tih nangmih taengah ka puen bitni ,’ ka ti
16A little while, and now you shall not see me; and again a little while, and you shall see me: because I go to the Father.
16Kolkalh om vetih kai nan hmu uh pawt sui dae rhaih koep om vetih kai nan hmuh uh ni,” a ti nah.
17Then some of the disciples said one to another: What is this that he saith to us: A little while, and you shall not see me; and again a little while, and you shall see me, and, because I go to the Father?
17Te dongah a hnukbang rhoek khuiah khat neh khat te, “Mamih taengah, ' Kolkalh om vetih kai nan hmu uh voel pawt sui dae rhaih koep om vetih kai nan hmuh uh ni. Te phoeiah pa taengla ka cet ni , ' a ti te metlam a om,” a ti uh.
18They said therefore: What is this that he saith, A little while? we know not what he speaketh.
18Te dongah, “A thui te me tlam nim a om te? ' Kolkalh ah ' a ti te m'ming uh moenih,” a ti uh.
19And Jesus knew that they had a mind to ask him; and he said to them: Of this do you inquire among yourselves, because I said: A little while, and you shall not see me; and again a little while, and you shall see me?
19Anih dawt ham a ngaih uh te Jesuh loh a ming dongah amih te, “ Kolkalh om vetih kai nan hmu uh mahpawh, Tedae rhaih koep om vetih kai nan hmuh uh ni , ' tila ka thui dongah he khat neh khat na dawt uh thae .
20Amen, amen I say to you, that you shall lament and weep, but the world shall rejoice; and you shall be made sorrowful, but your sorrow shall be turned into joy.
21A woman, when she is in labour, hath sorrow, because her hour is come; but when she hath brought forth the child, she remembereth no more the anguish, for joy that a man is born into the world.
21Huta loh a tue a pha tih ca a cun vaengah kothaenah a khueh. Tedae camoe te a cun vaengah tah Diklai ah hlang a cun te a omngaihnah neh phacipphabaem te poek pawh
22So also you now indeed have sorrow; but I will see you again, and your heart shall rejoice; and your joy no man shall take from you.
22Te dongah nangmih khaw tahae ah kothaenah na khueh uh dae nangmih te koep kan hip vetih nangmih thinko loh omngaih bitni. Nangmih kah omngaihnah te nangmih lamkah rhawt uh mahpawh
23And in that day you shall not ask me any thing. Amen, amen I say to you: if you ask the Father any thing in my name, he will give it you.
23Tekah khohnin ah kai nan dawt uh loengloeng mahpawh, Nangmih taengah rhep rhep ka thui, kai ming neh Pa taengah na bih te tah nangmih m'paek bitni .
24Hitherto you have not asked any thing in my name. Ask, and you shall receive; that your joy may be full.
25These things I have spoken to you in proverbs. The hour cometh, when I will no more speak to you in proverbs, but will shew you plainly of the Father.
25Thuidoeknah neh nangmih taengah hekah he ka thui coeng. A tue ha pawk vaengah tah thuidoeknah neh nangmih kam voek voel mahpawh. Tedae pa kawng nangmih taengah sayalh la ka puen bitni .
26In that day you shall ask in my name; and I say not to you, that I will ask the Father for you:
26Tekah khohnin ah kai ming neh na bih uh ni. Tedae nangmih ham kai loh a pa taengah ka dawt ni tila nangmih taengah ka thui moenih
27For the Father himself loveth you, because you have loved me, and have believed that I came out from God.
27Pa amah loh nangmih n'lungnah te nangmih loh kai nan lungnah tih Pathen lamkah ka suntlak he na tangnah uh dongah ni .
28I came forth from the Father, and am come into the world: again I leave the world, and I go to the Father.
29His disciples say to him: Behold, now thou speakest plainly, and speakest no proverb.
30Now we know that thou knowest all things, and thou needest not that any man should ask thee. By this we believe that thou camest forth from God.
30Boeih na ming dongah u long khaw nang dawt ham pakhat khaw ngoe pawh tila ka ming uh coeng, te nen ni Pathen taeng lamkah na lo te kan tangnah uh ,” a ti nah.
31Jesus answered them: Do you now believe?
31Jesuh loh amih te , “ Na tangnah uh pawn a?
32Behold, the hour cometh, and it is now come, that you shall be scattered every man to his own, and shall leave me alone; and yet I am not alone, because the Father is with me.
32A tue ha pawk coeng ke, pakhat rhip loh amah amah ah na taekyak uh tih kamah bueng nan hlah uh ham ni ha pawk coeng, Tedae a pa he kai taengah om tih kamah bueng ka om moenih .
33These things I have spoken to you, that in me you may have peace. In the world you shall have distress: but have confidence, I have overcome the world.
Kai loh Diklai ka noeng coeng,” a ti nah.
