1Be comforted, be comforted, my people, saith your God.
1Kai ih kaminawk to pahloep oh, pahloep oh, tiah na Sithaw mah thuih.
2Speak ye to the heart of Jerusalem, and call to her: for her evil is come to an end, her iniquity is forgiven: she hath received of the hand of the Lord double for all her sins.
2Misa a tukhaih loe boeng boeh; a zaehaih doeh tahmen pae boeh, tiah Jerusalem pahloephaih lok to thui pae oh loe, hang oh; a zae o haihnawk pongah Angraeng danpaekhaih alet hnetto ah na yok o boeh, tiah thui pae oh.
3The voice of one crying in the desert: Prepare ye the way of the Lord, make straight in the wilderness the paths of our God.
3Praezaek ah hang kami ih lok mah, Angraeng ih loklam to pakhrai oh; aicae Sithaw hanah praezaek ah katoeng manglaih lampui to sah oh.
4Every valley shall be exalted, and every mountain and hill shall be made low, and the crooked shall become straight, and the rough ways plain.
4Kathuk longnawk to aphum oh loe, mae hoi maesomnawk to pahnaem oh; kangkoih lam to patoengh oh loe, kadue ai loklam to adue o sak ah.
5And the glory of the Lord shall be revealed, and all flesh together shall see, that the mouth of the Lord hath spoken.
5To tih nahaeloe kami boih mah hnuk hanah, Angraeng lensawkhaih to amtueng tih; Angraeng ih pakha mah hae tiah thuih boeh, tiah a thuih.
6The voice of one, saying: Cry. And I said: What shall I cry? All flesh is grass, and all the glory thereof as the flower of the held.
6To ih lok mah, Hang ah, tiah ang naa. Kaimah timaw ka hangh haih han loe? tiah ka naa. Kaminawk loe phroh baktiah ni oh o boih, lensawkhaihnawk boih doeh lawk ih apawk baktiah ni oh;
7The grass is withered, and the dower is fallen, because the spirit of the Lord hath blown upon it. Indeed the people is grass:
7Angraeng ih takhi mah hmuh naah, phroh loe zaek moe, apawk doeh azaem; kami loe phroh baktiah ni oh tangtang.
8The grass is withered, and the flower is fallen: but the word of our Lord endureth for ever.
8Phroh loe zaek moe, apawk doeh azaem ving; toe aicae Sithaw ih lok loe dungzan khoek to cak poe tih.
9Get thee up upon a high mountain, thou that bringest good tidings to Sion: lift up thy voice with strength, thou that bringest good tidings to Jerusalem: lift it up, fear not. Say to the cities of Juda: Behold your God:
9Aw Zion, kahoih tamthanglok sinkung, maesang nuiah daw tahang ah; Aw Jerusalem, kahoih tamthanglok sinkung, tha hoiah hang ah, zii ai ah, hang ah; Na Sithaw to khen oh! tiah Judah vangpuinawk khaeah thui paeh.
10Behold the Lord God shall come with strength, and his arm shall rule: Behold his reward is with him and his work is before him.
10Khenah, Angraeng Sithaw loe a thacakhaih ban hoiah angzo ueloe, thacak a ban hoiah uk tih; khenah, tangqum loe angmah khaeah oh moe, sak ih hmuen baktih toengah pathok han koi hmuen doeh angmah khaeah oh.
11He shall feed his flock like a shepherd: he shall gather together the lambs with his arm, and shall take them up in his bosom, and he himself shall carry them that are with young.
11Tuutoep kami mah tuunawk to pacah baktih toengah angmah ih tuunawk to pacah tih; tuucaanawk to a ban hoiah la ueloe, saoek ah tapom tih; caa tapen tuunawk loe amzaita hoiah hui tih.
12Who hath measured the waters in the hollow of his hand, and weighed the heavens with his palm? who hath poised with three fingers the bulk of the earth, and weighed the mountains in scales, and the hills in a balance?
12Ban hoi tuipuinawk tah kami, ban hoi van kar kami, benthang hoi maiphu tah kami, maenawk, maesomnawk coi hoiah tah kami loe mi aa?
13Who hath forwarded the spirit of the Lord? or who hath been his counsellor, and hath taught him?
13Mi mah maw Angraeng ih Muithla to loklam patuek vaih, to tih ai boeh loe mi maw anih poekhaih paekkung ah kaom, mi maw anih to patuk vaih?
14With whom hath he consulted, and who hath instructed him, and taught him the path of justice, and taught him knowledge, and shewed him the way of understanding?
14Angraeng loe mi hoiah maw lokram vaih, mi maw Angraeng to patuk moe, a caehhaih loklam to patuek vaih? Mi mah maw anih palunghahaih patuk moe, panoekhaih loklam patuek vaih?
15Behold the Gentiles are as a drop of a bucket, and are counted as the smallest grain of a balance: behold the islands are as a little dust.
15Khenah, prae kaminawk loe tui suekhaih okduk pong ih tui kaca baktiah oh o moe, coi tahhaih pong ih kakap maiphu baktiah ni oh o; khenah, tuipui thung ih praenawk doeh maiphu baktiah ni a haeh.
16And Libanus shall not be enough to burn, nor the beasts thereof sufficient for a burnt offering.

17All nations are before him as if they had no being at all, and are counted to him as nothing, and vanity.

19Hath the workman cast a graven statue? or hath the goldsmith formed it with gold, or the silversmith with plates of silver?
19Krang sah kami mah krang to thuk, sui sah kami mah a nuiah suitui to pazut moe, sumkanglung sah kami mah sumqui to a sak pae.
20He hath chosen strong wood, and that will not rot: the skillful workman seeketh how he may set up an idol that may not be moved.
20Kamtang kami loe kahmawn thai ai thing to qoih moe, thing nuiah krang soisak hanah krang soi thaih kami to pakrong.
21Do you not know? hath it not been heard? hath it not been told you from the beginning? have you not understood the foundations of the earth?
21Na panoek o ai maw? Na thaih o ai maw? Tangsuek na hoiah na thui o ai maw? Long sak amtong tangsuek na hoiah na thaih o ai maw?
22It is he that sitteth upon the globe of the earth, and the inhabitants thereof are as locusts: he that stretcheth out the heavens as nothing, and spreadeth them out as a tent to dwell in.
22Anih loe long amhaehaih ranui koekah anghnut, anih mah loe long kaminawk to pakhuhnawk baktiah ni poek, vannawk to kahni baktiah a payuengh moe, ohhaih im baktiah amyuegsak;

24And surely their stock was neither planted, nor sown, nor rooted in the earth: suddenly he hath blown upon them, and they are withered, and a whirlwind shall take them away as stubble.

25And to whom have ye likened me, or made me equal, saith the Holy One?
25Mi hoiah maw kai hae nang patah han? To tih ai boeh loe mi maw kai hoiah kangvan? tiah Ciimcai Sithaw mah thuih.
26Lift up your eyes on high, and see who hath created these things: who bringeth out their host by number, and calleth them all by their names: by the greatness of his might, and strength, and power, not one of them was missing.
26Van bangah na mik to padai noek ah; khenah, hae hmuennawk loe mi mah maw sak? Anih mah ni to ih cakaehnawk to maeto pacoeng maeto ohsak, nazetto maw oh o, tito anih mah panoek bit moe, ahmin hoiah kawk boih; anih loe thacak moe, sakthaihaih hoiah akoep pongah, maeto doeh anghmaa o ai.
27Why sayest thou, O Jacob, and speakest, O Israel: My way is hid from the Lord, and my judgment is passed over from my God?
27Aw Jakob, tipongah ka caehhaih loklam loe Angraeng mah panoek ai, tiah na thuih loe? Aw Israel, tipongah ka toenghaih hae Sithaw mah tiah doeh na sah pae ai, tiah na thuih loe?
28Knowest thou not, or hast thou not heard? the Lord is the everlasting God, who hath created the ends of the earth: he shall not faint, nor labour, neither is there any searching out of his wisdom.
28Angraeng loe, dungzan kahing Sithaw ah oh moe, long boenghaih Sahkung ah oh, anih loe thazok ai, angpho vai ai, a thoemhaih loe mi mah doeh panoek pae thai ai, tiah na panoek o ai maw?
29It is he that giveth strength to the weary, and increaseth force and might to them that are not.
29Anih loe thazok kaminawk to tha ohsak moe, thacak ai kaminawk to thacaksak.
30Youths shall faint, and labour, and young men shall fall by infirmity.
30Thendoengnawk mataeng doeh thazok o ueloe, angpho o tih, nawksainawk doeh amthaek o ueloe, amtimh o tih;
31But they that hope in the Lord shall renew their strength, they shall take wings as eagles, they shall run and not be weary, they shall walk and not faint.
