Testamenta Marra (Dieri New Testament)
1But of the times and moments, brethren, you need not, that we should write to you;
1Ditjindru ja miljarandru, ngatata worajai, baku nganai jurangu dakala;
2For yourselves know perfectly, that the day of the Lord shall so come, as a thief in the night.
2Ngangau jura munta talku milkila, Kaparaia ditji wokarai, worderu kurikantji tinkani.
3For when they shall say, peace and security; then shall sudden destruction come upon them, as the pains upon her that is with child, and they shall not escape.
3Tana jatanani: Murla nganai ja japa pani, ngadani nurujeli tanangu tintani wokarai, worderu dankani ketjaketjana mandrantjani, ja tana bulu japa mindrila nganai.
4But you, brethren, are not in darkness, that that day should overtake you as a thief.
4Jura, ngatata worajai, wata ngalpurani ngamanau, nulupini ditjieli kurikantjieli jeribaka jurana pataiati.
5For all you are the children of light, and children of the day: we are not of the night, nor of darkness.
5Jura pratjana praitjaia kupa ja ditjia kupa nganai; ja ngaiana wata tinkandru ja ngalpurandru nganai.
6Therefore, let us not sleep, as others do; but let us watch, and be sober.
6Jeruja ngaiana wata mukaturarananto nguruni jeribaka, a‐ai, ngaiana tepi ja milja ngamananto.
7For they that sleep, sleep in the night; and they that are drunk, are drunk in the night.
7Ngangau tana, tana mukaturarai, tinkani mukaturarai, ja tana, tana tapana parawarai, tana tinkani tapana parawarai;
8But let us, who are of the day, be sober, having on the breastplate of faith and charity, and for a helmet the hope of salvation.
8Ngaiana, ngaiana ditjindru nganai, milja ngamananto, morlalu ngundranaia ja ngantjanaia marda katieli matja widmaterina, ja kalkanaia kabuluru kulkanaia.
9For God hath not appointed us unto wrath, but unto the purchasing of salvation by our Lord Jesus Christ,
9Ngangau Godali ngaianana wata kurana wonti tiria, a‐ai, tepi pirna manila Kapara ngaianani Jesungu Christungundru,

10Nauja ngaianangu palina wonti, ngangau ngaiana, tepi ngamanani kara mukaturaranani kara, nunkangunto tepi ngamananto.
11For which cause comfort one another; and edify one another, as you also do.

12And we beseech you, brethren, to know them who labour among you, and are over you in the Lord, and admonish you:
12Ngaiani jurangu ngatjiai, ngatata worajai, jura tanana ngujamananto, tanali jurangu ngankai, ja jurani kapara nganai Kaparani, ja jurana kurukurubai,
13That you esteem them more abundantly in charity, for their work’s sake. Have peace with them.
13Ja jura tanana pirna ngundrananto ngantjanani, tanani ngankanandru. Murlali ngananau tanangunto.
14And we beseech you, brethren, rebuke the unquiet, comfort the feeble minded, support the weak, be patient towards all men.
14Ngaiani jurana kurukurubai, ngatata worajai: Tjikatjikaetja daudauanau; kana burkaburka pirna ngankalkanau; kana waltowalto patanau; manju ngananau pratjanani.
15See that none render evil for evil to any man; but ever follow that which is good towards each other, and towards all men.
15Ngamalkaterianau, wata kulnujeli madlentjandru kalala madlentji jinkinanto, a‐ai, milingeru ngumu pratjanaia mindrianau, ja ngankijiribamalianimai.
16Always rejoice.
16Milingeru mankianau;

18In all things give thanks; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you all.

21But prove all things; hold fast that which is good.
21Pratjana wontjanau; mina ngumu, jenia patanau;
22From all appearance of evil refrain yourselves.
22Wata baka pilki jinkianau;
23And may the God of peace himself sanctify you in all things; that your whole spirit, and soul, and body, may be preserved blameless in the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.
23Murlaia Goda muntali jurana warupotuni kulikiri ngankau, ja jurani jaola ja mungara ja palku madlentji pani ngananau Kaparaia ngaiananaia Jesuni Christuni tikanaia.
