1当 亚达薛西 王年间，同我从 巴比伦 上来的人，他们的族长和他们的家谱记在下面：
1These are the family heads and genealogical records of those who returned with me from Babylon during the reign of King Artaxerxes:
2属 非尼哈 的子孙有 革顺 ；属 以他玛 的子孙有 但以理 ；属 大卫 的子孙有 哈突 ；
2from the descendants of Phinehas, Gershom; from the descendants of Ithamar, Daniel; from the descendants of David, Hattush
3属 巴录 的后裔，就是 示迦尼 的子孙有 撒迦利亚 ，同着他，按家谱计算，男丁一百五十人；
3of the descendants of Shecaniah; from the descendants of Parosh, Zechariah, and with him were registered 150 men;
4属 巴哈·摩押 的子孙有 西拉希雅 的儿子 以利约乃 ，同着他有男丁二百；
4from the descendants of Pahath-Moab, Eliehoenai son of Zerahiah, and with him 200 men;
5属 示迦尼 的子孙有 雅哈悉 的儿子，同着他有男丁三百；
5from the descendants of Zattu, Shecaniah son of Jahaziel, and with him 300 men;
6属 亚丁 的子孙有 约拿单 的儿子 以别 ，同着他有男丁五十；
6from the descendants of Adin, Ebed son of Jonathan, and with him 50 men;
7属 以拦 的子孙有 亚他利雅 的儿子 耶筛亚 ，同着他有男丁七十；
7from the descendants of Elam, Jeshaiah son of Athaliah, and with him 70 men;

8from the descendants of Shephatiah, Zebadiah son of Michael, and with him 80 men;

9from the descendants of Joab, Obadiah son of Jehiel, and with him 218 men;
10属 示罗密 的子孙有 约细斐 的儿子，同着他有男丁一百六十；
10from the descendants of Bani, Shelomith son of Josiphiah, and with him 160 men;
11属 比拜 的子孙有 比拜 的儿子 撒迦利亚 ，同着他有男丁二十八；
11from the descendants of Bebai, Zechariah son of Bebai, and with him 28 men;
12属 押甲 的子孙有 哈加坦 的儿子 约哈难 ，同着他有男丁一百一十；
12from the descendants of Azgad, Johanan son of Hakkatan, and with him 110 men;
13属 亚多尼干 的子孙，就是末尾的，他们的名字是 以利法列 、 耶利 、 示玛雅 ，同着他们有男丁六十；
13from the later descendants of Adonikam, these were their names: Eliphelet, Jeiel, and Shemaiah, and with them 60 men;

14and from the descendants of Bigvai, both Uthai and Zaccur, and with them 70 men.

15Now I assembled these exiles at the canal that flows to Ahava, and we camped there three days. And when I searched among the people and priests, I found no Levites there.
16就召首领 以利以谢 、 亚列 、 示玛雅 、 以利拿单 、 雅立 、 以利拿单 、 拿单 、 撒迦利亚 、 米书兰 ，又召教习 约雅立 和 以利拿单 。
16Then I summoned the leaders: Eliezer, Ariel, Shemaiah, Elnathan, Jarib, Elnathan, Nathan, Zechariah, and Meshullam, as well as the teachers Joiarib and Elnathan.
17我打发他们往 迦西斐雅 地方去见那里的首领 易多 ，又告诉他们当向 易多 和他的弟兄尼提宁说什么话，叫他们为我们 神的殿带使用的人来。
17And I sent them to Iddo, the leader at Casiphia, with a message for him and his kinsmen, the temple servants at Casiphia, that they should bring to us ministers for the house of our God.
18蒙我们 神施恩的手帮助我们，他们在 以色列 的曾孙、 利未 的孙子、 抹利 的后裔中带一个通达人来；还有 示利比 和他的众子与弟兄共一十八人。
18And since the gracious hand of our God was upon us, they brought us Sherebiah—a man of insight from the descendants of Mahli son of Levi, the son of Israel—along with his sons and brothers, 18 men;
19又有 哈沙比雅 ，同着他有 米拉利 的子孙 耶筛亚 ，并他的众子和弟兄共二十人。
19also Hashabiah, together with Jeshaiah, from the descendants of Merari, and his brothers and their sons, 20 men.
20从前 大卫 和众首领派尼提宁服事 利未 人，现在从这尼提宁中也带了二百二十人来，都是按名指定的。
20They also brought 220 of the temple servants, all designated by name. David and the officials had appointed them to assist the Levites.
21那时，我在 亚哈瓦河 边宣告禁食，为要在我们 神面前克苦己心，求他使我们和 妇人 孩子，并一切所有的，都得平坦的道路。
21And there by the Ahava Canal I proclaimed a fast, so that we might humble ourselves before our God and ask Him for a safe journey for us and our children, with all our possessions.
22我求王拨步兵马兵帮助我们抵挡路上的仇敌，本以为羞耻；因我曾对王说：「我们 神施恩的手必帮助一切寻求他的；但他的能力和忿怒必攻击一切离弃他的。」
22For I was ashamed to ask the king for an escort of soldiers and horsemen to protect us from our enemies on the road, since we had told him, “The hand of our God is gracious to all who seek Him, but His great anger is against all who forsake Him.”
23所以我们禁食祈求我们的 神，他就应允了我们。
23So we fasted and petitioned our God about this, and He granted our request.
24我分派祭司长十二人，就是 示利比 、 哈沙比雅 ，和他们的弟兄十人，
24Then I set apart twelve of the leading priests, together with Sherebiah, Hashabiah, and ten of their brothers,
25将王和谋士、军长，并在那里的 以色列 众人为我们 神殿所献的金银和器皿，都秤了交给他们。
25and I weighed out to them the contribution of silver and gold and the articles that the king, his counselors, his leaders, and all the Israelites there had offered for the house of our God.
26我秤了交在他们手中的银子有六百五十他连得；银器重一百他连得；金子一百他连得；
26I weighed out into their hands 650 talents of silver, articles of silver weighing 100 talents, 100 talents of gold,
27金碗二十个，重一千达利克；上等光铜的器皿两个，宝贵如金。
2720 gold bowls valued at 1,000 darics, and two articles of fine polished bronze, as precious as gold.
28我对他们说：「你们归耶和华为圣，器皿也为圣；金银是甘心献给耶和华—你们列祖之 神的。
28Then I told them, “You are holy to the LORD, and these articles are holy. The silver and gold are a freewill offering to the LORD, the God of your fathers.
29你们当警醒看守，直到你们在 耶路撒冷 耶和华殿的库内，在祭司长和 利未 族长，并 以色列 的各族长面前过了秤。」
29Guard them carefully until you weigh them out in the chambers of the house of the LORD in Jerusalem before the leading priests, Levites, and heads of the Israelite families.”
30于是，祭司、 利未 人按着分量接受金银和器皿，要带到 耶路撒冷 我们 神的殿里。
30So the priests and Levites took charge of the silver and gold and sacred articles that had been weighed out to be taken to the house of our God in Jerusalem.
31正月十二日，我们从 亚哈瓦河 边起行，要往 耶路撒冷 去。我们 神的手保佑我们，救我们脱离仇敌和路上埋伏之人的手。
31On the twelfth day of the first month we set out from the Ahava Canal to go to Jerusalem, and the hand of our God was upon us to protect us from the hands of the enemies and bandits along the way.
32我们到了 耶路撒冷 ，在那里住了三日。
32So we arrived at Jerusalem and rested there for three days.
33第四日，在我们 神的殿里把金银和器皿都秤了，交在祭司 乌利亚 的儿子 米利末 的手中。同着他有 非尼哈 的儿子 以利亚撒 ，还有 利未 人 耶书亚 的儿子 约撒拔 和 宾内 的儿子 挪亚底 。
33On the fourth day, in the house of our God, we weighed out the silver and gold and sacred articles into the hand of Meremoth son of Uriah, the priest. Eleazar son of Phinehas was with him, along with the Levites Jozabad son of Jeshua and Noadiah son of Binnui.
34当时都点了数目，按着分量写在册上。
34Everything was verified by number and weight, and the total weight was recorded at that time.
35从掳到之地归回的人向 以色列 的 神献燔祭，就是为 以色列 众人献公牛十二只，公绵羊九十六只，绵羊羔七十七只，又献公山羊十二只作赎罪祭，这都是向耶和华焚献的。
35Then the exiles who had returned from captivity sacrificed burnt offerings to the God of Israel: 12 bulls for all Israel, 96 rams, 77 lambs, and a sin offering of 12 male goats. All this was a burnt offering to the LORD.
36他们将王的谕旨交给王所派的总督与 河西 的省长，他们就帮助百姓，又供给 神殿里所需用的。
36They also delivered the king’s edicts to the royal satraps and governors of the region west of the Euphrates, who proceeded to assist the people and the house of God.
