1To pacoengah Job mah,
1Then Job answered:
2kai poek nang patang o sak, nasetto maw lok hoiah nang pacaekthlaek o han vop?
2“How long will you torment me and crush me with your words?
3Vai hato nang zoeh o boeh; azathaih tawn ai ah panoek vai ai ih kami baktiah nang zoeh o.
3Ten times now you have reproached me; you shamelessly mistreat me.
4Even if I have truly gone astray, my error concerns me alone.
5If indeed you would exalt yourselves above me and use my disgrace against me,
6toe kai loe Sithaw mah ni amtimsak moe, anih ih thaang pongah ka manh, tito panoek oh.
6then understand that it is God who has wronged me and drawn His net around me.
7Khenah, ka sakpazaehaih thung hoiah ka hang; mi mah doeh tahngai ai; tha hoi ka hangh, toe toenghaih hoiah lokcaek kami om ai.
7Though I cry out, ‘Violence!’ I get no response; though I call for help, there is no justice.
8Anih mah ka poeng thaih han ai ah ka caehhaih loklam to pakaa khoep, anih mah ka caehhaih loklam ah vinghaih to suek.
8He has blocked my way so I cannot pass; He has veiled my paths with darkness.
9Ka lensawkhaih to anih mah ang khringh pae moe, ka lu nui ih lumuek to ang lak pae ving.
9He has stripped me of my honor and removed the crown from my head.
10Anih mah ahmuen kruek hoi ang boh pongah, kam ro boeh; anih mah ka oephaih to thing baktiah ang phongh pae ving.
10He tears me down on every side until I am gone; He uproots my hope like a tree.
11Anih ih palung kabae to kai khaeah ang palai moe, kai hae a misa ah ang poek.
11His anger burns against me, and He counts me among His enemies.
12Anih ih misatuh kaminawk loe, kai tuk hanah nawnto angzoh o moe, kai ih kahni im taeng boih ah atai o.
12His troops advance together; they construct a ramp against me and encamp around my tent.
13Kam nawkamyanawk to kai khae hoi kangthla ah a ohsak moe, kam puinawk doeh panoek vai ai ih kami baktiah ni oh o.
13He has removed my brothers from me; my acquaintances have abandoned me.
14Ka canawknawk mah ang pahnawt o moe, kam puinawk mah ang pahnet o boeh.
14My kinsmen have failed me, and my friends have forgotten me.
15Ka tamna nongpatanawk hoi ka imthung takohnawk mah angvin baktih, prae kalah kami baktiah ang khet o.
15My guests and maidservants count me as a stranger; I am a foreigner in their sight.
16I call for my servant, but he does not answer, though I implore him with my own mouth.
17Kang hahhaih takhi loe ka zu koeh koiah om ai, ka caanawk hanah panuet thok hmuen ah oh boeh.
17My breath is repulsive to my wife, and I am loathsome to my own family.
18Ue, nawktanawk mah ang patoek o, kang thawk tahang naah, ang pahnui o thuih.
18Even little boys scorn me; when I appear, they deride me.
19All my best friends despise me, and those I love have turned against me.
20Ka huh loe nganhin hoi angbet rap boeh moe, ka haa doeh angkhringh boeh.
20My skin and flesh cling to my bones; I have escaped by the skin of my teeth.
21Have pity on me, my friends, have pity, for the hand of God has struck me.
22Tipongah Sithaw pacaekthlaek baktiah kai nang pacaekthlaek o loe? Kai ih angan hoiah zok nam hah o ai vop maw?
22Why do you persecute me as God does? Will you never get enough of my flesh?
23Aw, ka loknawk hae pakuem o nasoe loe, nihcae mah cabu ah pathok o nasoe.
23I wish that my words were recorded and inscribed in a book,
24Sum cacung hoiah tarik o nasoe loe, thlung nuiah dungzan ah tarik o poe nasoe!
24by an iron stylus on lead, or chiseled in stone forever.
25Kai akrangkung loe hing, tiah ka panoek; anih loe hnukkhuem atue boeng naah long ah angdoe tih;
25But I know that my Redeemer lives, and in the end He will stand upon the earth.
26ka nganhin amro moe, hae takpum hae amro ving cadoeh, ka taksa hoiah Sithaw to ka hnu vop tih;
26Even after my skin has been destroyed, yet in my flesh I will see God.
27I will see Him for myself; my eyes will behold Him, and not as a stranger. How my heart yearns within me!
28Nangcae mah, anih hae kawbangmaw pacaekthlaek han, anih zae nethaih kawbangmaw hnuk thai han? tiah na thuih o,
28If you say, ‘Let us persecute him, since the root of the matter lies with him,’
29sumsen to na zit o han oh, Sithaw palungphuihaih mah sumsen hoi danpaekhaih to tacawtsak, lokcaekhaih atue oh, tiah panoek oh, tiah a naa.
29then you should fear the sword yourselves, because wrath brings punishment by the sword, so that you may know there is a judgment.”
