Asang Khongca Bible (Eastern Khumi Chin, 2019)
Berean Standard Bible
1Vaihi kawk noek ah, na kawkhaih lok pathim han kami om tih maw? Naa bang ih kaciim kaminawk khaeah maw nang qoi han?
1“Call out if you please, but who will answer? To which of the holy ones will you turn?
2Palungphui hmai baktih amngaehhaih mah kamthu to hum moe, uthaih mah kamthu to misong ah ohsak.
2For resentment kills a fool, and envy slays the simple.
3Kamthu ih tangzun loe cak, tiah ka hnuk pongah, a ohhaih ahmuen to ka tangoeng pae roep.
3I have seen a fool taking root, but suddenly his house was cursed.
4Anih ih caanawk loe misa monghaih tawn o ai, khongkha ah ah atit o naah, bomkung tawn o ai.
4His sons are far from safety, crushed in court without a defender.
5A aah ih cang loe zok amthlam kaminawk mah caak pae o ving; anih ih hmuenmaenawk loe mingcahnawk mah lomh pae o king.
5The hungry consume his harvest, taking it even from the thorns, and the thirsty pant after his wealth.
6Patangkhanghaih loe maiphu thung hoiah angzo ai, raihaih doeh long thung hoiah tacawt ai.
6For distress does not spring from the dust, and trouble does not sprout from the ground.
7Toe van bangah tapraek tahang hmai baktih toengah, kami loe raihaih tongh han ih ni tapen roe.
7Yet man is born to trouble as surely as sparks fly upward.
8Toe kai loe Sithaw khaeah tahmenhaih ka hnik moe, ka raihaih to Sithaw khaeah ka tathlang han:
8However, if I were you, I would appeal to God and lay my cause before Him—
9anih loe paroeai kalen hmuen, kroek laek ai hmuen, dawnrai koi hmuennawk to sak;
9the One who does great and unsearchable things, wonders without number.
10Anih mah ni long ah kho angzohsak moe, lawk ah tui to longsak.
10He gives rain to the earth and sends water upon the fields.
11Poek pahnaem kami to anih mah atoengh tahang moe, palungsae kami to monghaih ahmuen ah atoengh tahang.
11He sets the lowly on high, so that mourners are lifted to safety.
12Minawk aling thaih kami mah kasae pacaeng ih hmuen akoep han ai ah, anih mah pakaa pae.
12He thwarts the schemes of the crafty, so that their hands find no success.
13Palungha kaminawk loe angmacae palunghahaih hoiah sak pacaeng ih hmuen pongah amansak moe, poek kangkawn kami amsakhaih to a phraek pae.
13He catches the wise in their craftiness, and sweeps away the plans of the cunning.
14Nihcae loe khodai ah vinghaih tongh o moe, athun ah khoving baktiah loklam pathoep hoiah a caeh o.
14They encounter darkness by day and grope at noon as in the night.
15Sithaw mah amtang kaminawk to thacak kami ih pakha hoi anih ih ban thung hoiah pahlong.
15He saves the needy from the sword in their mouth and from the clutches of the powerful.
16To pongah amtang kaminawk loe oephaih tawnh o moe, katoeng ai hmuen mah anih ih pakha to tamuep pae.
16So the poor have hope, and injustice shuts its mouth.
17Khenah, Sithaw mah patoengh ih kami loe tahamhoih; to pongah Thacak koek Sithaw mah thuitaekhaih to patoek hmah.
17Blessed indeed is the man whom God corrects; so do not despise the discipline of the Almighty.
18Anih mah ahmaa caksak, toe ahmaa to komh pae let; nganbawh kana a paek, toe ngantuisak let.
18For He wounds, but He also binds; He strikes, but His hands also heal.
19Anih mah vai tarukto raihaih thung hoiah na loisak tih; ue, vai sarihto naah doeh kasae na tongh mak ai.
19He will rescue you from six calamities; no harm will touch you in seven.
20Anih mah khokhaa naah duekhaih thung hoiah na pahlong tih; misatuk naah doeh sumsen thacakhaih thung hoiah pahlong tih.
20In famine He will redeem you from death, and in battle from the stroke of the sword.
21Lok amlai palai thung hoiah na pakaa ueloe, amrohaih phak naah, na zii mak ai.
21You will be hidden from the scourge of the tongue, and will not fear havoc when it comes.
22Amrohaih hoi khokhaahaih to na pahnui thuih ueloe, long nui ih hmawsaeng moinawk doeh na zii mak ai.
22You will laugh at destruction and famine, and need not fear the beasts of the earth.
23Azawn ih thlungnawk loe lokmaihaih ampui baktiah om ueloe, taw ih moisannawk loe kamongah nang hoi nawnto om o tih.
23For you will have a covenant with the stones of the field, and the wild animals will be at peace with you.
24Na ohhaih kahni im loe misa monghaih hoiah oh, tiah na panoek ueloe, na ohhaih ahmuen na phak naah, palungboenghaih om mak ai.
24You will know that your tent is secure, and find nothing amiss when inspecting your home.
25Nang ih atiinawk loe paroeai pop o tih, na caanawk loe long ih phroh baktiah om o tih, tiah na panoek tih.
25You will know that your offspring will be many, your descendants like the grass of the earth.
26Atue phak naah aah ih cang baktiah, na mitong naah loe taprong ah na caeh tih.
26You will come to the grave in full vigor, like a sheaf of grain gathered in season.
27Khenah, hae hmuen hae ka pakrong o, to hmuen loe oh tangtang; to pongah tahngai ah loe, na hoih haih hanah pakuem ah, tiah a naa.
27Indeed, we have investigated, and it is true! So hear it and know for yourself.”
