1 Thessalonians 2

Berean Standard Bible
Kadede Kap (Pohnpeian New Testament and Psalms)
1You yourselves know, brothers, that our visit to you was not in vain.
1PWE pein komail aja, ri ai kan, duen at pwaralan komail kaidin me jo kadepa.
2As you are aware, we had already endured suffering and shameful treatment in Philippi. But in the face of strong opposition, we were bold in our God to speak to you the gospel of God.
2A murin at kamekam nan Pilipi o at kalokolok waja o, duen me komail aja, kit aimaki atail Kot padaki on komail ronamau en Kot ni apwal laud.
3For our appeal does not arise from deceit or ulterior motives or trickery.
3Pwe at panapanaui komail jota wiaui ni kotaue, de jamin, de widin.
4Instead, we speak as those approved by God to be entrusted with the gospel, not in order to please men but God, who examines our hearts.
4Pwe duen kit ale jan ren Kot en padaki ronamau, iduen at padak kin wiaui, kaidin pwen konekonlar ren aramaj akan, a Kot me kotin kajauiada monion it.
5As you know, we never used words of flattery or any pretext for greed. God is our witness!
5Jota eu anjau me je linkapina komail, duen me komail aja, de norok kapwa, Kot me jaun kadede en mepukat.
6Nor did we seek praise from you or from anyone else, although as apostles of Christ we had authority to demand it.
6Je pil jota rapaki konekon ren aramaj akan, ma re omail de ren akai. A je pan kak katoutoui komail, pwe kit wanporon en Krijtiij akan.
7On the contrary, we were gentle among you, like a nursing mother caring for her children.
7Ari jo, kit kin materok nan pun omail dueta li en kamait amen, me kin apwali na jeri kan.
8We cared so deeply that we were delighted to share with you not only the gospel of God, but our own lives as well. That is how beloved you have become to us.
8Iduen at non kin komail melel, je mauki katunole kin komail ronamau en Kot, a kaidin i eta, a pein maur at, pwe komail wialar kompoke pat.
9Surely you recall, brothers, our labor and toil. We worked night and day so that we would not be a burden to anyone while we proclaimed to you the gospel of God.
9Ri ai kan, komail kin tamanda duen at dodok o at apwal akan. Pwe je dodok ni ran o ni pon, pwen der katoutoui amen komail, o je padaki on komail ronamau en Kot.
10You are witnesses, and so is God, of how holy, righteous, and blameless our conduct was among you who believed.
10Komail o Kot at jaunkadede duen at makelekel, o pun, o inen re omail me pojon akan.
11For you know that we treated each of you as a father treats his own children—
11O duen komail aja, me kit panaui o kamekamait amen amen re omail dueta papa men wia on na jeri kan.
12encouraging you, comforting you, and urging you to walk in a manner worthy of God, who calls you into His own kingdom and glory.
12O je padaki on komail er, me komail en alu inen wei ta, duen me kon on Kot, me kotin molipe komail on pein a wei o pein a linan
13And we continually thank God because, when you received the word of God that you heard from us, you accepted it not as the word of men, but as the true word of God—the word which is now at work in you who believe.
13I me je kin poden danke Kot, pwe ni omail aleer majan en Kot, komail aleer kaidin dueta padak en aramaj akan, pwe duweta majan en Kot melel, me pil kin dodok nan lol omail me pojon akan.
14For you, brothers, became imitators of the churches of God in Judea that are in Christ Jesus. You suffered from your own countrymen the very things they suffered from the Jews,
14Pwe ri ai kan, komail ale janer momodijo en Kot akan nan Iudaa reh Krijtuj Iejuj; pwe komail kamekame reh toun omail wei, dueta irail me kamekame ren Juj akan.
15who killed both the Lord Jesus and their own prophets, and drove us out as well. They are displeasing to God and hostile to all men,
15me pil kamatalar Kaun Iejuj, o jaukop akan, me re kaloke, o re jota konekon ren Kot, o re kin palian aramaj akan karoj.
16hindering us from telling the Gentiles how they may be saved. As a result, they continue to heap up their sins to full capacity; the utmost wrath has come upon them.
16O re kainapwi jan kit, ender padak on men liki kan, pwe ren der maurela, pwe re kin kadirela dip arail anjau karoj, a onion mi po ’rail.
17Brothers, although we were torn away from you for a short time (in person, not in heart), our desire to see you face to face was even more intense.
17A kit ri ai kan ni at doo wei jan komail anjau kij ni pali war at, a kaidin ni monion it, je ap nantion o inon ion melel kilan maj omail.
18For we wanted to come to you—indeed I, Paul, tried again and again—but Satan obstructed us.
18I me je men pwar won komail, nai Pauluj pan mepak o pan riapak, a Jatan karompa kit.
19After all, who is our hope, our joy, our crown of boasting, if it is not you yourselves in the presence of our Lord Jesus at His coming?
19Pwe ij me kapore pat, de kaperen pat, de kapina pat? Kaidin komail mon Kaun patail Iejuj ni a kotido
20You are indeed our glory and our joy.
20Pwe komail kalina pat o kaperen pat.
