1بِمَرَاحِمِ ٱلرَّبِّ أُغَنِّي إِلَى ٱلدَّهْرِ. لِدَوْرٍ فَدَوْرٍ أُخْبِرُ عَنْ حَقِّكَ بِفَمِي.
1A prayer of Moses the man of God. Lord, thou hast been our refuge from generation to generation.
2لِأَنِّي قُلْتُ: «إِنَّ ٱلرَّحْمَةَ إِلَى ٱلدَّهْرِ تُبْنَى. ٱلسَّمَاوَاتُ تُثْبِتُ فِيهَا حَقَّكَ».
2Before the mountains were made, or the earth and the world was formed; from eternity and to eternity thou art God.
3«قَطَعْتُ عَهْدًا مَعَ مُخْتَارِي، حَلَفْتُ لِدَاوُدَ عَبْدِي:
3Turn not man away to be brought low: and thou hast said: Be converted, O ye sons of men.
4إِلَى ٱلدَّهْرِ أُثَبِّتُ نَسْلَكَ، وَأَبْنِي إِلَى دَوْرٍ فَدَوْرٍ كُرْسِيَّكَ». سِلَاهْ.
4For a thousand years in thy sight are as yesterday, which is past. And as a watch in the night,
5وَٱلسَّمَاوَاتُ تَحْمَدُ عَجَائِبَكَ يَارَبُّ، وَحَقَّكَ أَيْضًا فِي جَمَاعَةِ ٱلْقِدِّيسِينَ.
5Things that are counted nothing, shall their years be.
6لِأَنَّهُ مَنْ فِي ٱلسَّمَاءِ يُعَادِلُ ٱلرَّبَّ. مَنْ يُشْبِهُ ٱلرَّبَّ بَيْنَ أَبْنَاءِ ٱللهِ؟
6In the morning man shall grow up like grass; in the morning he shall flourish and pass away: in the evening he shall fall, grow dry, and wither.
7إِلَهٌ مَهُوبٌ جِدًّا فِي مُؤَامَرَةِ ٱلْقِدِّيسِينَ، وَمَخُوفٌ عِنْدَ جَمِيعِ ٱلَّذِينَ حَوْلَهُ.
7For in thy wrath we have fainted away: and are troubled in thy indignation.
8يَارَبُّ إِلَهَ ٱلْجُنُودِ، مَنْ مِثْلُكَ؟ قَوِيٌّ، رَبٌّ، وَحَقُّكَ مِنْ حَوْلِكَ.
8Thou hast set our iniquities before thy eyes: our life in the light of thy countenance.
9أَنْتَ مُتَسَلِّطٌ عَلَى كِبْرِيَاءِ ٱلْبَحْرِ. عِنْدَ ٱرْتِفَاعِ لُجَجِهِ أَنْتَ تُسَكِّنُهَا.
9For all our days are spent; and in thy wrath we have fainted away. Our years shall be considered as a spider:
10أَنْتَ سَحَقْتَ رَهَبَ مِثْلَ ٱلْقَتِيلِ. بِذِرَاعِ قُوَّتِكَ بَدَّدْتَ أَعْدَاءَكَ.
10The days of our years in them are threescore and ten years. But if in the strong they be fourscore years: and what is more of them is labour and sorrow. For mildness is come upon us: and we shall be corrected.
11لَكَ ٱلسَّمَاوَاتُ. لَكَ أَيْضًا ٱلْأَرْضُ. ٱلْمَسْكُونَةُ وَمِلْؤُهَا أَنْتَ أَسَّسْتَهُمَا.
11Who knoweth the power of thy anger, and for thy fear
12ٱلشِّمَالُ وَٱلْجَنُوبُ أَنْتَ خَلَقْتَهُمَا. تَابُورُ وَحَرْمُونُ بِٱسْمِكَ يَهْتِفَانِ.
12Can number thy wrath? So make thy right hand known: and men learned in heart, in wisdom.
13لَكَ ذِرَاعُ ٱلْقُدْرَةِ. قَوِيَّةٌ يَدُكَ. مُرْتَفِعَةٌ يَمِينُكَ.
13Return, O Lord, how long? and be entreated in favour of thy servants.
14ٱلْعَدْلُ وَٱلْحَقُّ قَاعِدَةُ كُرْسِيِّكَ. ٱلرَّحْمَةُ وَٱلْأَمَانَةُ تَتَقَدَّمَانِ أَمَامَ وَجْهِكَ.
14We are filled in the morning with thy mercy: and we have rejoiced, and are delighted all our days.
15طُوبَى لِلشَّعْبِ ٱلْعَارِفِينَ ٱلْهُتَافَ. يَارَبُّ، بِنُورِ وَجْهِكَ يَسْلُكُونَ.
15We have rejoiced for the days in which thou hast humbled us: for the years in which we have seen evils.
16بِٱسْمِكَ يَبْتَهِجُونَ ٱلْيَوْمَ كُلَّهُ، وَبِعَدْلِكَ يَرْتَفِعُونَ.
16Look upon thy servants and upon their works: and direct their children.
17لِأَنَّكَ أَنْتَ فَخْرُ قُوَّتِهِمْ، وَبِرِضَاكَ يَنْتَصِبُ قَرْنُنَا.
17And let the brightness of the Lord our God be upon us: and direct thou the works of our hands over us; yea, the work of our hands do thou direct.
18لِأَنَّ ٱلرَّبَّ مِجَنُّنَا، وَقُدُّوسَ إِسْرَائِيلَ مَلِكُنَا.

19حِينَئِذٍ كَلَّمْتَ بِرُؤْيَا تَقِيَّكَ وَقُلْتَ: «جَعَلْتُ عَوْنًا عَلَى قَوِيٍّ. رَفَعْتُ مُخْتَارًا مِنْ بَيْنِ ٱلشَّعْبِ.

20وَجَدْتُ دَاوُدَ عَبْدِي. بِدُهْنِ قُدْسِي مَسَحْتُهُ.

21ٱلَّذِي تَثْبُتُ يَدِي مَعَهُ. أَيْضًا ذِرَاعِي تُشَدِّدُهُ.

22لَا يُرْغِمُهُ عَدُوٌّ، وَٱبْنُ ٱلْإِثْمِ لَا يُذَلِّلُهُ.

23وَأَسْحَقُ أَعْدَاءَهُ أَمَامَ وَجْهِهِ، وَأَضْرِبُ مُبْغِضِيهِ.

24أَمَّا أَمَانَتِي وَرَحْمَتِي فَمَعَهُ، وَبِٱسْمِي يَنْتَصِبُ قَرْنُهُ.

25وَأَجْعَلُ عَلَى ٱلْبَحْرِ يَدَهُ، وَعَلَى ٱلْأَنْهَارِ يَمِينَهُ.

26هُوَ يَدْعُونِي: أَبِي أَنْتَ، إِلَهِي وَصَخْرَةُ خَلَاصِي.

27أَنَا أَيْضًا أَجْعَلُهُ بِكْرًا، أَعْلَى مِنْ مُلُوكِ ٱلْأَرْضِ.

28إِلَى ٱلدَّهْرِ أَحْفَظُ لَهُ رَحْمَتِي. وَعَهْدِي يُثَبَّتُ لَهُ.

29وَأَجْعَلُ إِلَى ٱلْأَبَدِ نَسْلَهُ مِثْلَ أَيَّامِ ٱلسَّمَاوَاتِ.

30إِنْ تَرَكَ بَنُوهُ شَرِيعَتِي وَلَمْ يَسْلُكُوا بِأَحْكَامِي،

31إِنْ نَقَضُوا فَرَائِضِي وَلَمْ يَحْفَظُوا وَصَايَايَ،

32أَفْتَقِدُ بِعَصًا مَعْصِيَتَهُمْ، وَبِضَرَبَاتٍ إِثْمَهُمْ.

33أَمَّا رَحْمَتِي فَلَا أَنْزِعُهَا عَنْهُ، وَلَا أَكْذِبُ مِنْ جِهَةِ أَمَانَتِي.

34لَا أَنْقُضُ عَهْدِي، وَلَا أُغَيِّرُ مَا خَرَجَ مِنْ شَفَتَيَّ.

35مَرَّةً حَلَفْتُ بِقُدْسِي، أَنِّي لَا أَكْذِبُ لِدَاوُدَ:

36نَسْلُهُ إِلَى ٱلدَّهْرِ يَكُونُ، وَكُرْسِيُّهُ كَٱلشَّمْسِ أَمَامِي.

37مِثْلَ ٱلْقَمَرِ يُثَبَّتُ إِلَى ٱلدَّهْرِ. وَٱلشَّاهِدُ فِي ٱلسَّمَاءِ أَمِينٌ. سِلَاهْ.

38لَكِنَّكَ رَفَضْتَ وَرَذَلْتَ، غَضِبْتَ عَلَى مَسِيحِكَ.

39نَقَضْتَ عَهْدَ عَبْدِكَ، نَجَّسْتَ تَاجَهُ فِي ٱلتُّرَابِ.

40هَدَمْتَ كُلَّ جُدْرَانِهِ جَعَلْتَ حُصُونَهُ خَرَابًا.

41أَفْسَدَهُ كُلُّ عَابِرِي ٱلطَّرِيقِ صَارَ عَارًا عِنْدَ جِيرَانِهِ.

42رَفَعْتَ يَمِينَ مُضَايِقِيهِ، فَرَّحْتَ جَمِيعَ أَعْدَائِهِ.

43أَيْضًا رَدَدْتَ حَدَّ سَيْفِهِ، وَلَمْ تَنْصُرْهُ فِي ٱلْقِتَالِ.

44أَبْطَلْتَ بَهَاءَهُ، وَأَلْقَيْتَ كُرْسِيَّهُ إِلَى ٱلْأَرْضِ.

45قَصَّرْتَ أَيَّامَ شَبَابِهِ غَطَّيْتَهُ بِٱلْخِزْيِ. سِلَاهْ.

46حَتَّى مَتَى يَارَبُّ تَخْتَبِئُ كُلَّ ٱلِٱخْتِبَاءِ؟ حَتَّى مَتَى يَتَّقِدُ كَٱلنَّارِ غَضَبُكَ؟

47ٱذْكُرْ كَيْفَ أَنَا زَائِلٌ، إِلَى أَيِّ بَاطِلٍ خَلَقْتَ جَمِيعَ بَنِي آدَمَ!

48أَيُّ إِنْسَانٍ يَحْيَا وَلَا يَرَى ٱلْمَوْتَ؟ أَيٌّ يُنَجِّي نَفْسَهُ مِنْ يَدِ ٱلْهَاوِيَةِ؟ سِلَاهْ.

49أَيْنَ مَرَاحِمُكَ ٱلْأُوَلُ يَارَبُّ، ٱلَّتِي حَلَفْتَ بِهَا لِدَاوُدَ بِأَمَانَتِكَ؟

50ٱذْكُرْ يَارَبُّ عَارَ عَبِيدِكَ ٱلَّذِي أَحْتَمِلُهُ فِي حِضْنِي مِنْ كَثْرَةِ ٱلْأُمَمِ كُلِّهَا،

51ٱلَّذِي بِهِ عَيَّرَ أَعْدَاؤُكَ يَارَبُّ، ٱلَّذِينَ عَيَّرُوا آثَارَ مَسِيحِكَ.

52مُبَارَكٌ ٱلرَّبُّ إِلَى ٱلدَّهْرِ. آمِينَ فَآمِينَ.
