1اِحْمَدُوا ٱلرَّبَّ لِأَنَّهُ صَالِحٌ، لِأَنَّ إِلَى ٱلْأَبَدِ رَحْمَتَهُ.
1A canticle of a psalm for David himself.
2لِيَقُلْ مَفْدِيُّو ٱلرَّبِّ، ٱلَّذِينَ فَدَاهُمْ مِنْ يَدِ ٱلْعَدُوِّ،
2My heart is ready, O God, my heart is ready: I will sing, and will give praise, with my glory.
3وَمِنَ ٱلْبُلْدَانِ جَمَعَهُمْ، مِنَ ٱلْمَشْرِقِ وَمِنَ ٱلْمَغْرِبِ، مِنَ ٱلشِّمَالِ وَمِنَ ٱلْبَحْرِ.
3Arise, my glory; arise, psaltery and harp: I will arise in the morning early.
4تَاهُوا فِي ٱلْبَرِّيَّةِ فِي قَفْرٍ بِلَا طَرِيقٍ. لَمْ يَجِدُوا مَدِينَةَ سَكَنٍ.
4I will praise thee, O Lord, among the people: and I will sing unto thee among the populations.
5جِيَاعٌ عِطَاشٌ أَيْضًا أَعْيَتْ أَنْفُسُهُمْ فِيهِمْ.
5For thy mercy is great above the heavens: and thy truth even unto the clouds.
6فَصَرَخُوا إِلَى ٱلرَّبِّ فِي ضِيقِهِمْ، فَأَنْقَذَهُمْ مِنْ شَدَائِدِهِمْ،
6Be thou exalted, O God, above the heavens, and thy glory over all the earth:
7وَهَدَاهُمْ طَرِيقًا مُسْتَقِيمًا لِيَذْهَبُوا إِلَى مَدِينَةِ سَكَنٍ.
7That thy beloved may be delivered. Save with thy right hand and hear me.
8فَلْيَحْمَدُوا ٱلرَّبَّ عَلَى رَحْمَتِهِ وَعَجَائِبِهِ لِبَنِي آدَمَ.
8God hath spoken in his holiness. I will rejoice, and I will divide Sichem and I will mete out the vale of tabernacles.
9لِأَنَّهُ أَشْبَعَ نَفْسًا مُشْتَهِيَةً وَمَلَأَ نَفْسًا جَائِعَةً خَيْرًا،
9Galaad is mine, and Manasses is mine and Ephraim the protection of my head. Juda is my king:
10ٱلْجُلُوسَ فِي ٱلظُّلْمَةِ وَظِلَالِ ٱلْمَوْتِ، مُوثَقِينَ بِٱلذُّلِّ وَٱلْحَدِيدِ.
10Moab the pot of my hope. Over Edom I will stretch out my shoe: the aliens are become my friends.
11لِأَنَّهُمْ عَصَوْا كَلَامَ ٱللهِ، وَأَهَانُوا مَشُورَةَ ٱلْعَلِيِّ.
11Who will bring me into the strong city? who will lead me into Edom?
12فَأَذَلَّ قُلُوبَهُمْ بِتَعَبٍ. عَثَرُوا وَلَا مَعِينَ.
12Wilt not thou, O God, who hast cast us off? and wilt not thou, O God, go forth with our armies?
13ثُمَّ صَرَخُوا إِلَى ٱلرَّبِّ فِي ضِيقِهِمْ، فَخَلَّصَهُمْ مِنْ شَدَائِدِهِمْ.
13O grant us help from trouble: for vain is the help of man.
14أَخْرَجَهُمْ مِنَ ٱلظُّلْمَةِ وَظِلَالِ ٱلْمَوْتِ، وَقَطَّعَ قُيُودَهُمْ.
14Through God we shall do mightily: and he will bring our enemies to nothing.
15فَلْيَحْمَدُوا ٱلرَّبَّ عَلَى رَحْمَتِهِ وَعَجَائِبِهِ لِبَنِي آدَمَ.

16لِأَنَّهُ كَسَّرَ مَصَارِيعَ نُحَاسٍ، وَقَطَّعَ عَوَارِضَ حَدِيدٍ.

17وَٱلْجُهَّالُ مِنْ طَرِيقِ مَعْصِيَتِهِمْ، وَمِنْ آثَامِهِمْ يُذَلُّونَ.

18كَرِهَتْ أَنْفُسُهُمْ كُلَّ طَعَامٍ، وَٱقْتَرَبُوا إِلَى أَبْوَابِ ٱلْمَوْتِ.

19فَصَرَخُوا إِلَى ٱلرَّبِّ فِي ضِيقِهِمْ، فَخَلَّصَهُمْ مِنْ شَدَائِدِهِمْ.

20أَرْسَلَ كَلِمَتَهُ فَشَفَاهُمْ، وَنَجَّاهُمْ مِنْ تَهْلُكَاتِهِمْ.

21فَلْيَحْمَدُوا ٱلرَّبَّ عَلَى رَحْمَتِهِ وَعَجَائِبِهِ لِبَنِي آدَمَ.

22وَلْيَذْبَحُوا لَهُ ذَبَائِحَ ٱلْحَمْدِ، وَلْيَعُدُّوا أَعْمَالَهُ بِتَرَنُّمٍ.

23اَلنَّازِلُونَ إِلَى ٱلْبَحْرِ فِي ٱلسُّفُنِ، ٱلْعَامِلُونَ عَمَلًا فِي ٱلْمِيَاهِ ٱلْكَثِيرَةِ،

24هُمْ رَأَوْا أَعْمَالَ ٱلرَّبِّ وَعَجَائِبَهُ فِي ٱلْعُمْقِ.

25أَمَرَ فَأَهَاجَ رِيحًا عَاصِفَةً فَرَفَعَتْ أَمْوَاجَهُ.

26يَصْعَدُونَ إِلَى ٱلسَّمَاوَاتِ، يَهْبِطُونَ إِلَى ٱلْأَعْمَاقِ. ذَابَتْ أَنْفُسُهُمْ بِٱلشَّقَاءِ.

27يَتَمَايَلُونَ وَيَتَرَنَّحُونَ مِثْلَ ٱلسَّكْرَانِ، وَكُلُّ حِكْمَتِهِمِ ٱبْتُلِعَتْ.

28فَيَصْرُخُونَ إِلَى ٱلرَّبِّ فِي ضِيقِهِمْ، وَمِنْ شَدَائِدِهِمْ يُخَلِّصُهُمْ.

29يُهْدِئُ ٱلْعَاصِفَةَ فَتَسْكُنُ، وَتَسْكُتُ أَمْوَاجُهَا.

30فَيَفْرَحُونَ لِأَنَّهُمْ هَدَأُوا، فَيَهْدِيهِمْ إِلَى ٱلْمَرْفَإِ ٱلَّذِي يُرِيدُونَهُ.

31فَلْيَحْمَدُوا ٱلرَّبَّ عَلَى رَحْمَتِهِ وَعَجَائِبِهِ لِبَنِي آدَمَ.

32وَلْيَرْفَعُوهُ فِي مَجْمَعِ ٱلشَّعْبِ، وَلْيُسَبِّحُوهُ فِي مَجْلِسِ ٱلْمَشَايِخِ.

33يَجْعَلُ ٱلْأَنْهَارَ قِفَارًا، وَمَجَارِيَ ٱلْمِيَاهِ مَعْطَشَةً،

34وَٱلْأَرْضَ ٱلْمُثْمِرَةَ سَبِخَةً مِنْ شَرِّ ٱلسَّاكِنِينَ فِيهَا.

35يَجْعَلُ ٱلْقَفْرَ غَدِيرَ مِيَاهٍ، وَأَرْضًا يَبَسًا يَنَابِيعَ مِيَاهٍ.

36وَيُسْكِنُ هُنَاكَ ٱلْجِيَاعَ فَيُهَيِّئُونَ مَدِينَةَ سَكَنٍ.

37وَيَزْرَعُونَ حُقُولًا وَيَغْرِسُونَ كُرُومًا، فَتَصْنَعُ ثَمَرَ غَلَّةٍ.

38وَيُبَارِكُهُمْ فَيَكْثُرُونَ جِدًّا، وَلَا يُقَلِّلُ بَهَائِمَهُمْ.

39ثُمَّ يَقِلُّونَ وَيَنْحَنُونَ مِنْ ضَغْطِ ٱلشَّرِّ وَٱلْحُزْنِ.

40يَسْكُبُ هَوَانًا عَلَى رُؤَسَاءَ، وَيُضِلُّهُمْ فِي تِيهٍ بِلَا طَرِيقٍ،

41وَيُعَلِّي ٱلْمِسْكِينَ مِنَ ٱلذُّلِّ، وَيَجْعَلُ ٱلْقَبَائِلَ مِثْلَ قُطْعَانِ ٱلْغَنَمِ.

42يَرَى ذَلِكَ ٱلْمُسْتَقِيمُونَ فَيَفْرَحُونَ، وَكُلُّ إِثْمٍ يَسُدُّ فَاهُ.

43مَنْ كَانَ حَكِيمًا يَحْفَظُ هَذَا، وَيَتَعَقَّلُ مَرَاحِمَ ٱلرَّبِّ.
