1Então Sisinês, governador da Celessíria e da Fenícia, e Satrabuzanes, juntamente com seus companheiros, obedecendo às ordens do rei Dario,
1Then Sisinnes the governor of Celosyria and Phenice, and Sathrabuzanes, with their companions following the commandments of king Darius,
2supervisionaram com grande cuidado a obra santa, auxiliando os anciãos dos judeus e os governantes do templo.
2Did very carefully oversee the holy works, assisting the ancients of the Jews and governors of the temple.
3Assim a obra santa prosperou enquanto os profetas Ageu e Zacarias profetizavam.
3And so the holy works prospered, when Aggeus and Zacharias the prophets prophesied.
4Eles concluíram essas coisas por ordem do Senhor, o Deus de Israel, e com o consentimento de Ciro, Dario e Artaxerxes, reis dos persas.
4And they finished these things by the commandment of the Lord God of Israel, and with the consent of Cyrus, Darius, and Artexerxes, kings of Persia.
5A casa santa foi concluída no vigésimo terceiro dia do mês de adar, no sexto ano do rei Dario.
5And thus was the holy house finished in the three and twentieth day of the month Adar, in the sixth year of Darius king of the Persians
6Os filhos de Israel, os sacerdotes, os levitas e os demais que haviam voltado do cativeiro e se unido a eles fizeram conforme estava escrito no livro de Moisés.
6And the children of Israel, the priests, and the Levites, and others that were of the captivity, that were added unto them, did according to the things written in the book of Moses.
7Para a dedicação do templo do Senhor, ofereceram cem touros, duzentos carneiros e quatrocentos cordeiros,
7And to the dedication of the temple of the Lord they offered an hundred bullocks two hundred rams, four hundred lambs;
8além de doze bodes como oferta pelo pecado de todo Israel, segundo o número dos doze príncipes das tribos de Israel.
8And twelve goats for the sin of all Israel, according to the number of the chief of the tribes of Israel.
9Os sacerdotes e os levitas permaneceram vestidos com suas vestes, segundo seus clãs, para os serviços do Senhor, o Deus de Israel, conforme o livro de Moisés. Os porteiros estavam em cada portão.
9The priests also and the Levites stood arrayed in their vestments, according to their kindreds, in the service of the Lord God of Israel, according to the book of Moses: and the porters at every gate.
10Os filhos de Israel que haviam saído do cativeiro celebraram a Páscoa no décimo quarto dia do primeiro mês, quando os sacerdotes e os levitas foram santificados juntos,
10And the children of Israel that were of the captivity held the passover the fourteenth day of the first month, after that the priests and the Levites were sanctified.
11juntamente com todos os que haviam voltado do cativeiro, pois estavam santificados. Todos os levitas haviam sido santificados juntos.
11They that were of the captivity were not all sanctified together: but the Levites were all sanctified together.
12Ofereceram a Páscoa por todos os que haviam voltado do cativeiro, por seus parentes, os sacerdotes, e por si mesmos.
12And so they offered the passover for all them of the captivity, and for their brethren the priests, and for themselves.
13Os filhos de Israel que haviam saído do cativeiro comeram, juntamente com todos os que se haviam separado das abominações dos gentios da terra e buscavam o Senhor.
13And the children of Israel that came out of the captivity did eat, even all they that had separated themselves from the abominations of the people of the land, and sought the Lord.
14Celebraram a Festa dos Pães sem Fermento durante sete dias, alegrando-se diante do Senhor,
14And they kept the feast of unleavened bread seven days, making merry before the Lord,
15porque ele havia mudado a disposição do rei da Assíria em favor deles, fortalecendo suas mãos nas obras do Senhor, o Deus de Israel.
15For that he had turned the counsel of the king of Assyria toward them, to strengthen their hands in the works of the Lord God of Israel.
