Kadede Kap (Pohnpeian New Testament and Psalms)
Douay-Rheims Bible, American Edition (1899)
1A I men, komail en aja iran ai pei laud pweki komail, o men Laodijaa, o irail karoj, me jota kilan maj ai ni uduk o.
1For I would have you know, what manner of care I have for you and for them that are at Laodicea, and whosoever have not seen my face in the flesh:
2Pwe monion arail en kamaitala o irail en warok pena ni limpok o irail en kakairida ni ar dedeki melel duen me rir en Kot.
2That their hearts may be comforted, being instructed in charity, and unto all riches of fulness of understanding, unto the knowledge of the mystery of God the Father and of Christ Jesus:
3Pwe pai en erpit o dedeki, me okiok re a.
3In whom are hid all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge.
4I me i inda mepukat, pwe aramaj amen ede kotau ki komail lokaia widin kan.
4Now this I say, that no man may deceive you by loftiness of words.
5A ni pali uduk o nai me doo, a ni pali nen i nai mi re omail, i poronki o kilan omail jondi mau, o omail pojon kelail Krijtuj.
5For though I be absent in body, yet in spirit I am with you; rejoicing, and beholding your order, and the steadfastness of your faith which is in Christ.
6A duen omail wuki on Krijtuj lejuj Kaun o, iduen komail en weweideki i,
6As therefore you have received Jesus Christ the Lord, walk ye in him;
7O podidi on i, o kakau kida i, o komail kelail ni pojon, duen nir komail padak kidar, o nantion
7Rooted and built up in him, and confirmed in the faith, as also you have learned, abounding in him in thanksgiving.
8Kalaka pwe amen ede jali kin komail padak mal o padok en kauada duen tiak en aramaj akan en jappa, a kaidin tiak en aramaj akan en jappa, a kaidin tiak en Krijtuj.
8Beware lest any man cheat you by philosophy, and vain deceit; according to the tradition of men, according to the elements of the world, and not according to Christ:
9Pwe aude pan me udah Kot karoj kotikot re a, nan pein war a.
9For in him dwelleth all the fulness of the Godhead corporeally;
10O komail me unjok kilar I, me tapwin wei karoj o manaman karoj.
10And you are filled in him, who is the head of all principality and power:
11Me komail pil jirkomjaijeki on jirkomjaij eu, me jo manin pa, a duen pwilikidi war en uduk ni jirkomjaij eu, me ren Krijtuj.
11In whom also you are circumcised with circumcision not made by hand, in despoiling of the body of the flesh, but in the circumcision of Christ:
12Ni atail ian I jerkidi paptaij, o me komail pil maur kida pojon manaman en Kot, me kaiajada I jan ren me melar akan.
12Buried with him in baptism, in whom also you are risen again by the faith of the operation of God, who hath raised him up from the dead.
13O ni anjaun omail mela ni dip o jojirkomjaij en uduk omail, a kotin kamaur komail da ianaki I, ni a kotin maki on kitail japun kan karoj.
13And you, when you were dead in your sins, and the uncircumcision of your flesh; he hath quickened together with him, forgiving you all offences:
14O a kotin iroj wei jan intin o, me kapokon on kitail, me audekier kujoned akan, ap palian kitail, I me a kotin kawelar ni a pajurede on I nin lopu.
14Blotting out the handwriting of the decree that was against us, which was contrary to us. And he hath taken the same out of the way, fastening it to the cross:
15A lau kaloedier wei kan o manaman akan, ap kajanjanle irail ada o wia kin ir kilel en kaperen eu.
15And despoiling the principalities and powers, he hath exposed them confidently in open shew, triumphing over them in himself.
16Jota amen en kadeik komail da pweki kijin mana, de pil nim, de ran a akai, de maram pul, de japat akan.
16Let no man therefore judge you in meat or in drink, or in respect of a festival day, or of the new moon, or of the sabbaths,
17Pwe mepukat mot en me pan pwarado, a war o iei Krijtuj.
17Which are a shadow of things to come, but the body is of Christ.
18Jota me pan kataue jan komail katin pamail; pwe iei i me kin wiawia pein injen a ni a karakarak o poni on tounlen kan, me a jota kila n er o me aklapalap o perenki pein i ni tiak en uduk a.
18Let no man seduce you, willing in humility, and religion of angels, walking in the things which he hath not seen, in vain puffed up by the sense of his flesh,
19O a jota kin keleki tapwi, me war pon ale jan kijin mana ki kokon akan, iduen a pan kakairida ni kupur en Kot
19And not holding the head, from which the whole body, by joints and bands, being supplied with nourishment and compacted, groweth unto the increase of God.
20A ma komail ian Krijtuj melar jan tiak en jappa, menda komail pil lodi on tiak kan likamata komail memaureta nin jappa.
20If then you be dead with Christ from the elements of this world, why do you yet decree as though living in the world?
21Re kin inda: Koe der doke, koe der jon, koe der jair!
21Touch not, taste not, handle not:
22A mepukat karoj pan okila kadokepa; ari kijin kujoned mal akan, me aramaj akan ta wiadar.
22Which all are unto destruction by the very use, according to the precepts and doctrines of men.
23Me janjal en lolekon ni ar wiada pein ar kaudok o karakarak o ar kaloke pali war arail; a mepukat kin kapwaiada pali uduk eta.
23Which things have indeed a shew of wisdom in superstition and humility, and not sparing the body; not in any honour to the filling of the flesh.
