1ရုဗင် အမျိုးသား နှင့် ဂဒ် အမျိုးသား တို့သည် အလွန် များပြားသော တိရစ္ဆာန် တို့နှင့် ကြွယ်ဝ သည်ဖြစ်၍၊ ယာဇာ ပြည် ၊ ဂိလဒ် ပြည် တို့၌ တိရစ္ဆာန် ကျက်စားစရာဘို့ ကောင်းသည်ကို မြင် ကြလျှင် ၊
1Now the children of Reuben and the children of Gad had a very great multitude of cattle: and when they saw the land of Jazer, and the land of Gilead, that, behold, the place was a place for cattle;
2မောရှေ နှင့် ယဇ်ပုရောဟိတ် ဧလာဇာ အစရှိ သော ပရိသတ် တို့တွင် မင်း များတို့ထံသို့ လာ ၍ ၊
2The children of Gad and the children of Reuben came and spake unto Moses, and to Eleazar the priest, and unto the princes of the congregation, saying,
3အတရုတ် ၊ ဒိဘုန် ၊ ယာဇာ ၊ နိမရ ၊ ဟေရှဘုန် ၊ ဧလာလေ ၊ ရှေဘံ ၊ နေဗော ၊ ဗောန တည်းဟူသော၊
3Ataroth, and Dibon, and Jazer, and Nimrah, and Heshbon, and Elealeh, and Shebam, and Nebo, and Beon,
4ဣသရေလ ပရိသတ် ရှေ့မှာ ထာဝရဘုရား လုပ်ကြံ တော်မူသော ဤပြည် သည် တိရစ္ဆာန် နှင့် တော်လျော်ပါ၏။ ကိုယ်တော် ကျွန် တို့၌ လည်း တိရစ္ဆာန် များပြားပါ၏။
4Even the country which the LORD smote before the congregation of Israel, is a land for cattle, and thy servants have cattle:
5သို့ဖြစ်၍ ကျွန်တော်တို့သည် ရှေ့ တော်၌ မျက်နှာရ လျှင် ၊ ဤ ပြည် ကို ကိုယ်တော် ကျွန် တို့အား အပိုင်ပေး တော်မူပါ။ ကျွန်တော် တို့ကို ယော်ဒန် မြစ်တဘက်သို့ ပို့ဆောင် တော်မ မူပါနှင့်ဟု လျှောက် ကြ၏။
5Wherefore, said they, if we have found grace in thy sight, let this land be given unto thy servants for a possession, and bring us not over Jordan.
6မောရှေ ကလည်း ၊ သင်တို့သည် ဤ အရပ်၌ နေရစ် ၍၊ သင် တို့ညီအစ်ကို များတို့သည် စစ်တိုက် သွား ရမည်လော။
6¶ And Moses said unto the children of Gad and to the children of Reuben, Shall your brethren go to war, and shall ye sit here?
7ထာဝရဘုရား ပေး တော်မူသော ပြည် သို့ ဣသရေလ အမျိုးသား တို့သည် မကူး မသွားမည် အကြောင်း၊ သူတို့စိတ် ကို အဘယ်ကြောင့် ဖျက် ကြသနည်း။
7And wherefore discourage ye the heart of the children of Israel from going over into the land which the LORD hath given them?
8ပြည် တော်ကို ကြည့်ရှု စေခြင်းငှါ ၊ သင် တို့အဘ တို့ကို ကာဒေရှဗာနာ အရပ်က ငါ စေလွှတ် သောအခါ ထိုသို့ ပြု ကြ၏။
8Thus did your fathers, when I sent them from Kadesh-barnea to see the land.
9ဧရှကောလ ချောင်း သို့ သွား ၍ ပြည် တော်ကို ကြည့် မြင်ပြီးမှ၊ ထာဝရဘုရား ပေး တော်မူသော ပြည် သို့ ဣသရေလ အမျိုးသား တို့သည် မ သွား မည်အကြောင်းသူတို့စိတ် ကို ဖျက် ကြ၏။
9For when they went up unto the valley of Eshcol, and saw the land, they discouraged the heart of the children of Israel, that they should not go into the land which the LORD had given them.
10ထိုအခါ ထာဝရဘုရား သည် အမျက် တော်ထွက် လျက်၊ အကယ်စင်စစ်အာဗြဟံ ၊ ဣဇာတ် ၊ ယာကုပ် တို့ အား ငါကျိန်ဆို ၍ ပေးသောပြည် ကို၊ အဲဂုတ္တု ပြည်မှ ထွက်လာ သောသူတို့တွင် ကေနက် အမျိုး ယေဖုန္နာ ၏သား ကာလက် နှင့် နုန် ၏သား ယောရှု မှတပါး ၊ အဘယ်သူမျှငါ့ နောက်သို့ လုံးလုံးမ လိုက်သောကြောင့် ၊ အသက် နှစ်ဆယ် လွန် သောသူ တစုံတယောက်မျှ မ မြင် ရ။ ထိုသူ နှစ်ယောက်သာ ထာဝရဘုရား နောက်သို့ လုံးလုံးလိုက်ကြ ပြီဟု ကျိန်ဆို တော်မူ၏။
10And the LORD’s anger was kindled the same time, and he sware, saying,

11Surely none of the men that came up out of Egypt, from twenty years old and upward, shall see the land which I sware unto Abraham, unto Isaac, and unto Jacob; because they have not wholly followed me:
no verse 12 in this text
12Save Caleb the son of Jephunneh the Kenezite, and Joshua the son of Nun: for they have wholly followed the LORD .
13ထိုသို့ ထာဝရဘုရား ရှေ့ တော်၌ ဆိုး သောအမှု ကို ပြု သောလူအပေါင်း တို့သည် မ ပျက်စီး မှီတိုင်အောင်၊ ထာဝရဘုရား သည် ဣသရေလ အမျိုးသားတို့ကို အမျက် ထွက် ၍ အနှစ် လေးဆယ် ပတ်လုံးတော ၌ လှည့်လည် စေ တော်မူ၏။
13And the LORD’s anger was kindled against Israel, and he made them wander in the wilderness forty years, until all the generation, that had done evil in the sight of the LORD , was consumed.
14ယခုမူကား၊ ထာဝရဘုရား သည် ဣသရေလ အမျိုးသားတို့ကို သာ၍ ပြင်းစွာ အမျက် တော်ထွက်စေမည် အကြောင်း၊ သာ၍ ဆိုး သောသူတည်းဟူသောသင်တို့သည် သင် တို့အဘ များကိုယ်စား ပေါ်ထ ကြပြီတကား။
14And, behold, ye are risen up in your fathers’ stead, an increase of sinful men, to augment yet the fierce anger of the LORD toward Israel.
15သင်တို့သည် နောက် တော်သို့မလိုက်ဘဲ လွှဲသွား ကြလျှင် ၊ တဖန် ဣသရေလအမျိုးသားတို့ကို တော ၌ စွန့်ပစ် တော်မူသဖြင့် ၊ သင်တို့သည် ဤ လူမျိုး အပေါင်း ကို ဖျက်ဆီး ကြလိမ့်မည်ဟု ဂဒ် အမျိုးသား ၊ ရုဗင် အမျိုးသား တို့ အား ပြန်ပြော ၏။
15For if ye turn away from after him, he will yet again leave them in the wilderness; and ye shall destroy all this people.
16ထိုသူတို့သည်၊ အနီးအပါးသို့ချဉ်းကပ် ၍၊ ကျွန်တော်တို့သည် ကျွန်တော် တို့ တိရစ္ဆာန် များအဘို့ ဤ အရပ်၌ သိုး ခြံတို့ကို၎င်း ၊ ကျွန်တော် တို့ သူငယ် များ အဘို့ မြို့ တို့ကို၎င်းတည် ပါမည်။
16¶ And they came near unto him, and said, We will build sheepfolds here for our cattle, and cities for our little ones:
17သို့ရာတွင် ဣသရေလအမျိုးသားတို့ကို သူ တို့ နေရာ အရပ်သို့ မ ပို့ မဆောင်မှီတိုင်အောင်၊ ကျွန်တော်တို့သည် လက်နက် ကိုင်လျက် သူတို့ရှေ့မှာ သွား ပါမည်။ ဤပြည် ၌ ကျန်ကြွင်း သေးသော လူတို့ကြောင့် ကျွန်တော် တို့သူငယ် များသည် ခိုင်ခံ့ သောမြို့ ၌ နေ ရပါမည်။
17But we ourselves will go ready armed before the children of Israel, until we have brought them unto their place: and our little ones shall dwell in the fenced cities because of the inhabitants of the land.
18ဣသရေလ အမျိုးသား အပေါင်းတို့သည် အမွေ ခံရသောမြေကို မ ဝင်စား မှီတိုင်အောင်ကျွန်တော်တို့သည် ကိုယ် အိမ် သို့ မ ပြန် မလာပါ။
18We will not return unto our houses, until the children of Israel have inherited every man his inheritance.
19ကျွန်တော်တို့သည် ယော်ဒန် မြစ်တဘက် ၌ သူ တို့ နှင့်အတူ အမွေ ကို မ တောင်းမခံပါ။ ကျွန်တော် တို့အမွေ ခံရာမြေသည် ယော်ဒန် မြစ်အရှေ့ ဘက်၌ ကျပါသည်ဟု လျှောက် ပြန်ကြ၏။
19For we will not inherit with them on yonder side Jordan, or forward; because our inheritance is fallen to us on this side Jordan eastward.
20မောရှေ ကလည်း ၊ သို့ဖြစ်၍သင်တို့သည် ထာဝရဘုရား ရှေ့ တော်၌ လက်နက် ကိုင်လျက် စစ်တိုက် သွား လျှင် ၎င်း၊
20¶ And Moses said unto them, If ye will do this thing, if ye will go armed before the LORD to war,
21ထာဝရဘုရားသည် ရန်သူ တို့ကို ရှေ့ တော်မှ နှင်ထုတ် ၍ ထိုပြည် ကို အောင် တော်မ မူမှီတိုင်အောင်၊
21And will go all of you armed over Jordan before the LORD , until he hath driven out his enemies from before him,
22သင် တို့ရှိသမျှ သည် လက်နက် ကိုင်လျက် ထာဝရဘုရား ရှေ့ တော်၌ ယော်ဒန် မြစ်တဘက်သို့ ကူး သွားလျှင် ၎င်း၊ ထိုနောက်မှ ထာဝရဘုရား ရှေ့၊ ဣသရေလ အမျိုးသားရှေ့၌အပြစ် ကင်းလွတ်လျက်၊ ဤ ပြည် သို့ ပြန်လာ ၍ ထာဝရဘုရား အခွင့်နှင့် အမွေ ခံရ ကြမည်။
22And the land be subdued before the LORD : then afterward ye shall return, and be guiltless before the LORD , and before Israel; and this land shall be your possession before the LORD .
23ထိုသို့မ ပြု လျှင် မူကား ၊ သင်တို့သည် ထာဝရဘုရား ကို ပြစ်မှား ခြင်းရှိသည်အတိုင်း ၊ ထိုအပြစ် သည် သင် တို့ကို လိုက် ၍ မှီလိမ့်မည်။
23But if ye will not do so, behold, ye have sinned against the LORD : and be sure your sin will find you out.
24သူငယ် များအဘို့ မြို့ တို့ကို၎င်း ၊ သိုး များအဘို့ သိုးခြံ တို့ကို၎င်း၊ တည် လုပ်ကြလော့။ ယခုပြော သမျှ အတိုင်း ပြု ကြလော့ဟုဆိုလျှင်၊
24Build you cities for your little ones, and folds for your sheep; and do that which hath proceeded out of your mouth.
25ဂဒ် အမျိုးသား နှင့် ရုဗင် အမျိုး တို့က၊ ကိုယ်တော် ကျွန် တို့သည် သခင် မိန့် တော်မူသည်အတိုင်း ပြု ပါမည်။
25And the children of Gad and the children of Reuben spake unto Moses, saying, Thy servants will do as my lord commandeth.
26ကျွန်တော် တို့ မယား သားသူငယ် များနှင့် သိုး နွား အလုံးစုံ တို့သည် ဤ အရပ်၊ ဂိလဒ် မြို့ တို့၌ နေရစ် ရပါမည်။
26Our little ones, our wives, our flocks, and all our cattle, shall be there in the cities of Gilead:
27ကိုယ်တော် ကျွန် အပေါင်းတို့မူကား ၊ သခင် မိန့် တော်မူသည်အတိုင်း ၊ လက်နက် ကိုင်လျက် ထာဝရဘုရား ရှေ့ တော်၌ စစ်တိုက် ခြင်းငှါကူး သွားပါမည်ဟု လျှောက်ထား ကြ၏။
27But thy servants will pass over, every man armed for war, before the LORD to battle, as my lord saith.
28ထိုအမှုကြောင့်၊ မောရှေ သည် ယဇ်ပုရောဟိတ် ဧလာဇာ ၊ နုန် ၏သား ယောရှု အစရှိသော ဣသရေလ အမျိုးသား အဆွေအမျိုး သူကြီး များတို့ကို ခေါ် ၍ ၊
28So concerning them Moses commanded Eleazar the priest, and Joshua the son of Nun, and the chief fathers of the tribes of the children of Israel:
29ဂဒ် အမျိုးသား နှင့် ရုဗင် အမျိုးသား တို့သည် စစ်တိုက်ခြင်းငှါအသီးအသီးလက်နက် ကိုင်လျက် ထာဝရဘုရား ရှေ့ တော်၌ သင် တို့နှင့်အတူ ယော်ဒန် မြစ်တဘက် သို့ ကူး သွား၍၊ သင်တို့သည် ထိုပြည် ကို အောင် ပြီးလျှင် ၊ ထိုအမျိုးသား တို့အား ဂိလဒ် ပြည် ကို အပိုင် ပေး ရကြမည်။
29And Moses said unto them, If the children of Gad and the children of Reuben will pass with you over Jordan, every man armed to battle, before the LORD , and the land shall be subdued before you; then ye shall give them the land of Gilead for a possession:
30သို့မဟုတ် သူတို့သည်လက်နက် ကိုင်လျက် သင် တို့နှင့်အတူ မ ကူး မသွားလျှင် ၊ ခါနာန် ပြည် ၌ သင် တို့တွင် ကိုယ်ပိုင်ရာမြေကို ခံယူ ရကြမည်ဟု မှာထား လေ၏။
30But if they will not pass over with you armed, they shall have possessions among you in the land of Canaan.
31ဂဒ် အမျိုးသား နှင့် ရုဗင် အမျိုးသား တို့ကလည်း၊ ထာဝရဘုရား သည် ကိုယ်တော် ကျွန် တို့အား မိန့် တော်မူသည် အတိုင်း ၊ ကျွန်တော်တို့သည် ပြု ကြပါမည်။
31And the children of Gad and the children of Reuben answered, saying, As the LORD hath said unto thy servants, so will we do.
32ယော်ဒန် မြစ်အရှေ့ ဘက်၌ အမွေ ခံရပါမည်အကြောင်း၊ ကျွန်တော် တို့သည် လက်နက် ကိုင်လျက် ထာဝရဘုရား ရှေ့ တော်၌ ခါနာန် ပြည် သို့ ကူး သွားပါမည် ဟု ပြန်လျှောက် ကြ၏။
32We will pass over armed before the LORD into the land of Canaan, that the possession of our inheritance on this side Jordan may be ours.
33ထိုအခါ မောရှေ သည် အာမောရိ ရှင်ဘုရင် ရှိဟုန် ၏ နိုင်ငံ ဆိုင်သမျှ၊ ဗာရှန် ရှင်ဘုရင် ဩဃ ၏ နိုင်ငံ ဆိုင်သမျှသောနယ်မြေ မြို့ ရွာတို့ကို ဂဒ် အမျိုးသား ၊ ရုဗင် အမျိုးသား ၊ ယောသပ် ၏သား မနာရှေမှ ဆင်းသက်သော မနာရှေ အမျိုးသား တဝက် ၌ အပ် ပေးလေ၏။
33And Moses gave unto them, even to the children of Gad, and to the children of Reuben, and unto half the tribe of Manasseh the son of Joseph, the kingdom of Sihon king of the Amorites, and the kingdom of Og king of Bashan, the land, with the cities thereof in the coasts, even the cities of the country round about.
34ဂဒ် အမျိုးသား တို့သည် ဒိဗုန် ၊ အတရုတ် ၊ အာရော် ၊
34¶ And the children of Gad built Dibon, and Ataroth, and Aroer,
35အာတရုတ် ၊ ရှောဖန်၊ ယာဇာ ၊ ယုမ္ဘေဟ ၊
35And Atroth, Shophan, and Jaazer, and Jogbehah,
36ဗက်နိမရာ ၊ ဗေသာရန် မြို့ များကို၎င်း ၊ သိုး ခြံများ ကို၎င်းတည် လုပ်ကြ၏။
36And Beth-nimrah, and Beth-haran, fenced cities: and folds for sheep.
37ရုဗင် အမျိုးသား တို့သည် ဟေရှဘုန် ၊ ဧလာလေ ၊ ကိရယသိမ် ၊
37And the children of Reuben built Heshbon, and Elealeh, and Kirjathaim,
38နေဗော ၊ ဗာလမောန ၊ ရှိဗမ မြို့ များကို အသစ် သောအမည် ဖြင့် သမုတ် ၍ တည် ကြ၏။
38And Nebo, and Baal-meon, (their names being changed,) and Shibmah: and gave other names unto the cities which they builded.
39မနာရှေ မှ ဆင်းသက်သော မာခိရ အမျိုးသား တို့သည်၊ ဂိလဒ် မြို့သို့ သွား ၍ သိမ်းယူ ပြီးလျှင် ၊ အရင် မြို့သား အာမောရိ လူတို့ကို နှင်ထုတ် ကြ၏။
39And the children of Machir the son of Manasseh went to Gilead, and took it, and dispossessed the Amorite which was in it.
40မောရှေ သည် ဂိလဒ် မြို့ကို မနာရှေ ၏သား မာခိရ အမျိုးသားတို့အား ပေး ၍ သူတို့သည် နေ ကြ၏။
40And Moses gave Gilead unto Machir the son of Manasseh; and he dwelt therein.
41မနာရှေ အမျိုးသား ယာဣရ သည်လည်း သွား ၍ ဂိလဒ်ရွာ များကို သိမ်းယူ ပြီးမှ ၊ ဟာဝုတ် ယာဣရ အမည် ဖြင့် သမုတ် လေ၏။
41And Jair the son of Manasseh went and took the small towns thereof, and called them Havoth-jair.
42နောဗာ သည်လည်း သွား ၍ ကေနတ် မြို့ ရွာတို့ကို သိမ်းယူ ပြီးမှ ၊ မိမိ အမည် ဖြင့် နောဗာ မြို့ဟု သမုတ် လေ၏။
42And Nobah went and took Kenath, and the villages thereof, and called it Nobah, after his own name.
