1ဧဖရိမ် သည် လေ ကို ကျက်စား တတ်၏။ အရှေ့ လေကို လိုက် တတ်၏။ နေ့ တိုင်း မုသာ စကားနှင့် ပျက်စီး ခြင်းအကြောင်းတို့ကို များပြား စေတတ်၏။ အာရှုရိ လူတို့ နှင့် မိဿဟာယ ဖွဲ့လျက် နှင့်ပင်၊ အဲဂုတ္တု ပြည်သို့ ဆီ ကို ယူ သွားတတ်၏။
1(12-2) Ephraim striveth after wind, and followeth after the east wind; all the day he multiplieth lies and desolation; and they make a covenant with Assyria, and oil is carried into Egypt.
2ထာဝရဘုရား သည် ယုဒ အမျိုးနှင့် လည်း တရား တွေ့မှုရှိတော်မူ၏။ ယာကုပ် ၏အကျင့် တို့ကို စစ်ကြော ၍ သူ ပြုမူ သည်နှင့်အညီ အပြစ် ပေးတော်မူမည်။
2(12-3) The LORD hath also a controversy with Judah, and will punish Jacob according to his ways, according to his doings will He recompense him.
3ယာကုပ်သည် အမိဝမ်း ၌ အစ်ကို ၏ ဖနှောင့် ကို ကိုင်၏။ ခွန်အား ကြီး၍ ဘုရား သခင်နှင့် ပြိုင် လေ၏။
3(12-4) In the womb he took his brother by the heel, and by his strength he strove with a godlike being;
4ကောင်းကင် တမန်နှင့် ပြိုင် ၍ နိုင် လေ၏။ ငို ၍ တောင်းပန် နှင့်ပြီ။ ကောင်းကင်ဗိုလ်ခြေ အရှင်ဘုရား သခင် ထာဝရဘုရား ကို ဗေသလ မြို့မှာ ဖူးတွေ့ ၍ ၊ ငါတို့ အဘို့ ဗျာဒိတ်တော်ကိုခံ လေ၏။
4(12-5) So he strove with an angel, and prevailed; he wept, and made supplication unto him; at Beth-el he would find him, and there he would speak with us;
5ထာဝရဘုရား တည်းဟူသောနာမ သည်ထိုဘုရားသခင်၏ ဘွဲ့နာမတော်ဖြစ်၏။
5(12-6) But the LORD, the God of hosts, the LORD is His name.
6သို့ဖြစ်၍ ၊ သင် ၏ဘုရား သခင့်ထံ တော်သို့ ပြန်လာ လော့။ ကရုဏာ တရား၊ ဖြောင့်မတ်ခြင်းတရား ကို စောင့်ရှောက် ၍ ၊ သင် ၏ဘုရား သခင်ကို အစဉ် မပြတ်မြော်လင့် လော့။
6(12-7) Therefore turn thou to thy God; keep mercy and justice, and wait for thy God continually.
7သူသည် ကုန်သည် ဖြစ်၏။ စဉ်းလဲ သော ချိန်ခွင် ကို ကိုင် တတ်၏။ သူတပါးကို ညှဉ်းဆဲ ခြင်းငှါ အလိုရှိ ၏။
7(12-8) As for the trafficker, the balances of deceit are in his hand. He loveth to oppress.
8သို့ရာတွင် ၊ ဧဖရိမ် က၊ ငါသည် ရတတ် ၏။ ဘဏ္ဍာ ကို သိုထား ပြီ။ ကြိုးစား သမျှတို့၌ အပြစ် ပါသော လွန်ကျူး ခြင်းကို ရှာ၍ မ တွေ့ ရာဟု ဆို လိမ့်မည်။
8(12-9) And Ephraim said: 'Surely I am become rich, I have found me wealth; in all my labours they shall find in me no iniquity that were sin.'
9ငါ ထာဝရဘုရား သည် သင့် ကို အဲဂုတ္တု ပြည် မှ ကယ်နှုတ်သောသင် ၏ဘုရား သခင်ဖြစ်၏။ ဓမ္မပွဲ ခံစဉ်တွင် နေတတ်သကဲ့သို့ တဖန် တဲ တို့၌ နေ စေမည်။
9(12-10) But I am the LORD thy God from the land of Egypt; I will yet again make thee to dwell in tents, as in the days of the appointed season.
10ငါသည် ပရောဖက် တို့၌ ဗျာဒိတ် ပေးပြီ။ များစွာ သော ရူပါရုံ တို့ကို ပြပြီ။ ပရောဖက် များအားဖြင့် ပုံပမာ တို့ကို ထားပြီ။
10(12-11) I have also spoken unto the prophets, and I have multiplied visions; and by the ministry of the prophets have I used similitudes.
11ဂိလဒ် ပြည်၌ အပြစ် ရှိ၏။ ပြည်သူပြည်သားတို့ သည် အကျိုးနည်း ရှိ ကြပြီ။ ဂိလဂါလ မြို့၌ နွား တို့ကို ယဇ် ပူဇော်၍ ၊ ယဇ် ပလ္လင်တို့သည် ထွန်ကြောင်း တွင် မြေ အပုံပုံ ရှိသကဲ့သို့ များကြ၏။
11(12-12) If Gilead be given to iniquity becoming altogether vanity, in Gilgal they sacrifice unto bullocks; yea, their altars shall be as heaps in the furrows of the field.
12ယာကုပ် သည် ရှုရိ ပြည် သို့ ပြေး ၏။ ဣသရေလ သည် မယား ကိုရခြင်းငှါ အစေ ကျွန်ခံ၍ သိုးစုကို ထိန်း ရလေ၏။
12(12-13) And Jacob fled into the field of Aram, and Israel served for a wife, and for a wife he kept sheep.
13ထာဝရဘုရား သည် ပရောဖက် အားဖြင့် ဣသရေလ အမျိုးကို အဲဂုတ္တု ပြည်မှ ကယ်နှုတ် ၍ ၊ ပရောဖက် အားဖြင့် လည်း စောင့်မ တော်မူ၏။
13(12-14) And by a prophet the LORD brought Israel up out of Egypt, and by a prophet was he kept.
14ဧဖရိမ် သည် အမျက် တော်ကို အလွန်နှိုးဆော်လေပြီ။ ထိုကြောင့်၊ လူအသက်ကိုသတ် သော အပြစ် သည် သူ ၌ ရောက် လိမ့်မည်။ သူ ကဲ့ရဲ့ ခြင်း အပြစ်ကို သူ ၏သခင် သည် ပြန် ပေးလိမ့်မည်။
14(12-15) Ephraim hath provoked most bitterly; therefore shall his blood be cast upon him, and his reproach shall his Lord return unto him.
