1(58-1) For the Leader; Al-tashheth. A Psalm of David; Michtam. (58-2) Do ye indeed speak as a righteous company? Do ye judge with equity the sons of men?
1Εἰς τὸ τέλος· μὴ διαφθείρῃς· τῷ Δαυΐδ εἰς στηλογραφίαν, ὁπότε ἀπέστειλε Σαοὺλ καὶ ἐφύλαξε τὸν οἶκον αὐτοῦ τοῦ θανατῶσαι αὐτόν.
2(58-3) Yea, in heart ye work wickedness; ye weigh out in the earth the violence of your hands.
2ΕΞΕΛΟΥ με ἐκ τῶν ἐχθρῶν μου, ὁ Θεός, καὶ ἐκ τῶν ἐπανισταμένων ἐπ᾿ ἐμὲ λύτρωσαί με·
3(58-4) The wicked are estranged from the womb; the speakers of lies go astray as soon as they are born.
3ρῦσαί με ἐκ τῶν ἐργαζομένων τὴν ἀνομίαν καὶ ἐξ ἀνδρῶν αἱμάτων σῶσόν με.
4(58-5) Their venom is like the venom of a serpent; they are like the deaf asp that stoppeth her ear;
4ὅτι ἰδοὺ ἐθήρευσαν τὴν ψυχήν μου, ἐπέθεντο ἐπ᾿ ἐμὲ κραταιοί. οὔτε ἡ ἀνομία μου οὔτε ἡ ἁμαρτία μου, Κύριε·
5(58-6) Which hearkeneth not to the voice of charmers, or of the most cunning binder of spells.
5ἄνευ ἀνομίας ἔδραμον καὶ κατεύθυνα· ἐξεγέρθητι εἰς συνάντησίν μου καὶ ἴδε.
6(58-7) Break their teeth, O God, in their mouth; break out the cheek-teeth of the young lions, O LORD.
6καὶ σύ, Κύριε, ὁ Θεὸς τῶν δυνάμεων, ὁ Θεὸς τοῦ Ἰσραήλ, πρόσχες τοῦ ἐπισκέψασθαι πάντα τὰ ἔθνη, μὴ οἰκτειρήσῃς πάντας τοὺς ἐργαζομένους τὴν ἀνομίαν. (διάψαλμα).
7(58-8) Let them melt away as water that runneth apace; when he aimeth his arrows, let them be as though they were cut off.
7ἐπιστρέψουσιν εἰς ἑσπέραν καὶ λιμώξουσιν ὡς κύων καὶ κυκλώσουσι πόλιν.
8(58-9) Let them be as a snail which melteth and passeth away; like the untimely births of a woman, that have not seen the sun.
8ἰδοὺ ἀποφθέγξονται ἐν τῷ στόματι αὐτῶν, καὶ ρομφαία ἐν τοῖς χείλεσιν αὐτῶν, ὅτι τίς ἤκουσε;
9(58-10) Before your pots can feel the thorns, He will sweep it away with a whirlwind, the raw and the burning alike.
9καὶ σύ, Κύριε, ἐκγελάσῃ αὐτούς, ἐξουδενώσεις πάντα τὰ ἔθνη.
10(58-11) The righteous shall rejoice when he seeth the vengeance; he shall wash his feet in the blood of the wicked.
10τὸ κράτος μου, πρὸς σὲ φυλάξω, ὅτι σύ, ὁ Θεός, ἀντιλήπτωρ μου εἶ.
11(58-12) And men shall say: 'Verily there is a reward for the righteous; verily there is a God that judgeth in the earth.'
11ὁ Θεός μου, τὸ ἔλεος αὐτοῦ προφθάσει με· ὁ Θεός μου δείξει μοι ἐν τοῖς ἐχθροῖς μου.

12μὴ ἀποκτείνῃς αὐτούς, μήποτε ἐπιλάθωνται τοῦ νόμου σου· διασκόρπισον αὐτοὺς ἐν τῇ δυνάμει σου καὶ κατάγαγε αὐτούς, ὁ ὑπερασπιστής μου, Κύριε.

13ἁμαρτία στόματος αὐτῶν, λόγος χειλέων αὐτῶν, καὶ συλληφθήτωσαν ἐν τῇ ὑπερηφανίᾳ αὐτῶν· καὶ ἐξ ἀρᾶς καὶ ψεύδους διαγγελήσονται ἐν συντελείᾳ,

14ἐν ὀργῇ συντελείας, καὶ οὐ μὴ ὑπάρξουσι· καὶ γνώσονται, ὅτι Θεὸς δεσπόζει τοῦ Ἰακὼβ τῶν περάτων τῆς γῆς. (διάψαλμα).

16αὐτοὶ διασκορπισθήσονται τοῦ φαγεῖν· ἐὰν δὲ μὴ χορτασθῶσι, καὶ γογγύσουσιν.

17ἐγὼ δὲ ᾄσομαι τῇ δυνάμει σου καὶ ἀγαλλιάσομαι τὸ πρωΐ τὸ ἔλεός σου, ὅτι ἐγενήθης ἀντιλήπτωρ μου καὶ καταφυγή μου ἐν ἡμέρᾳ θλίψεώς μου.

18βοηθός μου εἶ, σοὶ ψαλῶ, ὅτι σύ, ὁ Θεός, ἀντιλήπτωρ μου εἶ, ὁ Θεός μου, τὸ ἔλεός μου.
