1(2-2) Then Jonah prayed unto the LORD his God out of the fish's belly.
1約拿 在魚腹中禱告耶和華－他的上帝，
2(2-3) And he said: I called out of mine affliction unto the LORD, and He answered me; out of the belly of the nether-world cried I, and Thou heardest my voice.
2說： 我遭遇患難求告耶和華， 你就應允我； 從陰間的深處呼求， 你就俯聽我的聲音。
3(2-4) For Thou didst cast me into the depth, in the heart of the seas, and the flood was round about me; all Thy waves and Thy billows passed over me.
3你將我投下深淵， 就是海的深處； 大水環繞我， 你的波浪洪濤都漫過我身。
4(2-5) And I said: 'I am cast out from before Thine eyes'; yet I will look again toward Thy holy temple.
4我說：我從你眼前雖被驅逐， 我仍要仰望你的聖殿。
5(2-6) The waters compassed me about, even to the soul; the deep was round about me; the weeds were wrapped about my head.
5諸水環繞我，幾乎淹沒我； 深淵圍住我； 海草纏繞我的頭。
6(2-7) I went down to the bottoms of the mountains; the earth with her bars closed upon me for ever; yet hast Thou brought up my life from the pit, O LORD my God.
6我下到山根， 地的門將我永遠 關住 。 耶和華－我的上帝啊， 你卻將我的性命從坑中救出來。
7(2-8) When my soul fainted within me, I remembered the LORD; and my prayer came in unto Thee, into Thy holy temple.
7我心在我裏面發昏的時候， 我就想念耶和華。 我的禱告進入你的聖殿， 達到你的面前。
8(2-9) They that regard lying vanities forsake their own mercy.
8那信奉虛無 之神 的人， 離棄憐愛他們的主；
9(2-10) But I will sacrifice unto Thee with the voice of thanksgiving; that which I have vowed I will pay. Salvation is of the LORD.
9但我必用感謝的聲音獻祭與你。 我所許的願，我必償還。 救恩出於耶和華。
10(2-11) And the LORD spoke unto the fish, and it vomited out Jonah upon the dry land.
10耶和華吩咐魚，魚就把 約拿 吐在旱地上。
