1(13-23) So Abijah slept with his fathers, and they buried him in the city of David, and Asa his son reigned in his stead; in his days the land was quiet ten years.
1အဘိယ သည် ဘိုးဘေး တို့နှင့် အိပ်ပျော် ၍ ၊ ဒါဝိဒ် မြို့ ၌ သင်္ဂြိုဟ် ခြင်းကိုခံ လေ၏။ သား တော်အာသ သည် ခမည်းတော်အရာ ၌ နန်း ထိုင်၏။ ထိုမင်း လက်ထက် ၊ ပြည် တော်သည် ဆယ် နှစ် ပတ်လုံးငြိမ်းချမ်း သာယာ၏။
2(14-1) And Asa did that which was good and right in the eyes of the LORD his God;
2အာသ မင်းသည် မိမိ ဘုရားသခင် ထာဝရဘုရား ရှေ့ တော်၌ ကောင်း သောအမှု၊ ဖြောင့်မတ် သော အမှုတို့ကို ပြု လေ၏။
3(14-2) for he took away the strange altars, and the high places, and broke down the pillars, and hewed down the Asherim;
3တပါး အမျိုးသားဘုရား၏ ယဇ် ပလ္လင်တို့ကို၎င်း၊ မြင့် သောအရပ်တို့ကို၎င်း ပယ်ရှား ၏။ ရုပ်တု ဆင်းတုတို့ကို ဖြိုဖျက် ၍ ၊ အာရှရ ပင်တို့ကို ခုတ်လှဲ ၏။
4(14-3) and commanded Judah to seek the LORD, the God of their fathers, and to do the law and the commandment.
4ယုဒ လူတို့သည် ဘိုးဘေး တို့၏ ဘုရားသခင် ထာဝရဘုရား ကို ရှာ ၍ ၊ ပညတ် တရား ကို စောင့်ရှောက် မည်အကြောင်း မိန့် တော်မူ၏။
5(14-4) Also he took away out of all the cities of Judah the high places and the sun-images; and the kingdom was quiet before him.
5ယုဒ မြို့ ရွာ အရပ်ရပ် တို့၌ ရှိသောကုန်း နှင့် ရုပ်တု ဆင်းတုတို့ကို ပယ်ရှား ၍ ၊ နိုင်ငံ တော်ရေး သာယာ လျက် ရှိ၏။
6(14-5) And he built fortified cities in Judah; for the land was quiet, and he had no war in those years; because the LORD had given him rest.
6ထို ကာလ ၌ ငြိမ်သက် သောအခွင့်ကို ထာဝရဘုရား ပေးတော်မူသဖြင့် ၊ ယုဒ ပြည်သည် ငြိမ် ၍ ၊ စစ်မှု နှင့် လွတ်သောကြောင့်၊ အာသမင်းသည် တပြည်လုံးတွင် ခိုင်ခံ့သောမြို့တို့ကို တည်လေ၏။
7(14-6) For he said unto Judah: 'Let us build these cities, and make about them walls, and towers, gates, and bars; the land is yet before us, because we have sought the LORD our God; we have sought Him, and He hath given us rest on every side.' So they built and prospered.
7ငါတို့သည် ငါ တို့၏ဘုရားသခင် ထာဝရဘုရား ကို ကြိုးစားရှာ ၍ ၊ ထိုဘုရားသည် အရပ်ရပ် ၌ ငြိမ်သက် သောအခွင့်ကိုပေး တော်မူသောကြောင့် ၊ တပြည်လုံး ကို အစိုးရစဉ်အခါ၊ ဤ မည်သော မြို့ တို့ကို ပြုစု ၍ မြို့ရိုး ၊ ပြအိုး ၊ တံခါး ၊ ကန့်လန့်ကျင် တို့ကို လုပ် ကြကုန်အံ့ဟု ယုဒ လူတို့အား မိန့် တော်မူ၏။
8(14-7) And Asa had an army that bore bucklers and spears, out of Judah three hundred thousand; and out of Benjamin, that bore shields and drew bows, two hundred and fourscore thousand; all these were mighty men of valour.
8အာသ မင်း၌ ကိဒုန်နှင့်လှံ ကိုကိုင် သော ယုဒ အမျိုး သူရဲ သုံး သိန်း ၊ ဒိုင်း လွှားနှင့် လေး ကိုကိုင် သော ဗင်္ယာမိန် အမျိုးသူရဲနှစ် သိန်းရှစ်သောင်းရှိ၍ ၊ ထို သူ အပေါင်း တို့သည် ခွန်အားကြီး သော စစ်သူရဲ ဖြစ်ကြ၏။
9(14-8) And there came out against them Zerah the Ethiopian with an army of a thousand thousand, and three hundred chariots; and he came unto Mareshah.
9တဖန် ကုရှ ရှင်ဘုရင် ဇေရ သည်စစ်သူရဲ တသန်း ၊ ရထား သုံး ရာ နှင့်တကွ ချီ လာ၍ ၊ မရေရှ မြို့သို့ ရောက် သောအခါ၊
10(14-9) Then Asa went out to meet him, and they set the battle in array in the valley of Zephath at Mareshah.
10အာသ သည်ဆီးကြို ၍ ၊ မရေရှ မြို့အနား မှာ ဇေဖသ ချိုင့်၌ စစ် ပြိုင် ကြ၏။
11(14-10) And Asa cried unto the LORD his God, and said: 'LORD, there is none beside Thee to help, between the mighty and him that hath no strength; help us, O LORD our God; for we rely on Thee, and in Thy name are we come against this multitude. Thou art the LORD our God; let not man prevail against Thee.'
11အာသ သည် မိမိ ဘုရားသခင် ထာဝရဘုရား အား ဟစ်ခေါ် ၍ ၊ အိုထာဝရဘုရား ၊ ကိုယ်တော်သည် လူများတို့တွင် အားနည်း သောသူကို ကယ်တင်ခြင်းငှါတတ်နိုင်တော်မူသည်ဖြစ်၍၊ အိုအကျွန်ုပ် တို့၏ ဘုရားသခင် ထာဝရဘုရား ၊ ကယ်တင် တော်မူပါ။ အကျွန်ုပ်တို့သည် ကိုယ်တော်ကိုခိုလှုံ၍ နာမ တော်ကို အမှီ ပြုလျက် ၊ ဤအလုံးအရင်းကြီးကို တိုက်ခြင်းငှါသွားပါ၏။ အိုထာဝရဘုရား ၊ ကိုယ်တော် သည် အကျွန်ုပ် တို့၏ဘုရားသခင် ဖြစ်တော်မူ၏။ လူ သည် ကိုယ်တော် ကို နိုင်သော အခွင့်ရှိစေတော်မမူပါနှင့်ဟု ဆုတောင်းသည်ဖြစ်၍၊
12(14-11) So the LORD smote the Ethiopians before Asa, and before Judah; and the Ethiopians fled.
12ထာဝရဘုရား သည် ကုရှ လူတို့ကိုအာသ နှင့် ယုဒ လူတို့ရှေ့ မှာ ဒဏ်ခတ် တော်မူသဖြင့် ၊ သူတို့သည်ပြေး ကြ၏။
13(14-12) And Asa and the people that were with him pursued them unto Gerar; and there fell of the Ethiopians so that none remained alive; for they were shattered before the LORD, and before His host; and they carried away very much booty.
13အာသ နှင့် သူ ၏လူ တို့သည် ဂေရာ မြို့တိုင်အောင် လိုက် သဖြင့် ၊ ကုရှ လူတို့သည် ပြန် ၍မ တိုက်ဝံ့သောကြောင့် အရှုံးခံရကြ၏။ ထာဝရဘုရား နှင့် ဗိုလ်ခြေ တော်ရှေ့ မှာ ဖျက်ဆီး ခြင်းကိုခံရကြ၏။ ယုဒလူတို့သည် လက်ရဥစ္စာ အများကို သိမ်းယူကြ၏။
14(14-13) And they smote all the cities round about Gerar; for a terror from the LORD came upon them; and they spoiled all the cities; for there was much spoil in them.
14ဂေရာ မြို့ပတ်ဝန်းကျင် မြို့ သားတို့သည် ထာဝရဘုရား ကို ကြောက်ရွံ့ သောစိတ်ရှိသဖြင့်၊ ယုဒလူတို့သည် ထိုမြို့ ရှိသမျှ တို့ကို လုပ်ကြံ ၍ ၊ သိုထားနှင့်သော ဘဏ္ဍာ ဥစ္စာ အများ တို့ကို သိမ်းယူ ကြ၏။
15(14-14) They smote also the tents of cattle, and carried away sheep in abundance and camels, and returned to Jerusalem.
15တိရစ္ဆာန် တင်းကုပ် များကိုလည်း တိုက်ဖျက် လျက် ၊ သိုး နှင့် ကုလားအုပ် အများတို့ကို သိမ်းယူ ၍။ယေရုရှလင် မြို့သို့ ပြန် သွားကြ၏။
