1And it came to pass after these things, that Naboth the Jezreelite had a vineyard, which was in Jezreel, hard by the palace of Ahab, king of Samaria.
1這事以後，又有一事。 耶斯列 人 拿伯 在 耶斯列 有一個葡萄園，靠近 撒馬利亞 王 亞哈 的宮。
2And Ahab spoke unto Naboth, saying: 'Give me thy vineyard, that I may have it for a garden of herbs, because it is near unto my house; and I will give thee for it a better vineyard than it; or, if it seem good to thee, I will give thee the worth of it in money.'
2亞哈 對 拿伯 說：「你將你的葡萄園給我作菜園，因為是靠近我的宮；我就把更好的葡萄園換給你，或是你要銀子，我就按着價值給你。」
3And Naboth said to Ahab: 'The LORD forbid it me, that I should give the inheritance of my fathers unto thee.'
3拿伯 對 亞哈 說：「我敬畏耶和華，萬不敢將我先人留下的產業給你。」
4And Ahab came into his house sullen and displeased because of the word which Naboth the Jezreelite had spoken to him; for he had said: 'I will not give thee the inheritance of my fathers.' And he laid him down upon his bed, and turned away his face, and would eat no bread.
4亞哈 因 耶斯列 人 拿伯 說「我不敢將我先人留下的產業給你」，就悶悶不樂地回宮，躺在床上，轉臉向內，也不吃飯。
5But Jezebel his wife came to him, and said unto him: 'Why is thy spirit so sullen, that thou eatest no bread?'
5王后 耶洗別 來問他說：「你為甚麼心裏這樣憂悶，不吃飯呢？」
6And he said unto her: 'Because I spoke unto Naboth the Jezreelite, and said unto him: Give me thy vineyard for money; or else, if it please thee, I will give thee another vineyard for it; and he answered: I will not give thee my vineyard.'
6他回答說：「因我向 耶斯列 人 拿伯 說：『你將你的葡萄園給我，我給你價銀，或是你願意，我就把 別的 葡萄園換給你』；他卻說：『我不將我的葡萄園給你。』」
7And Jezebel his wife said unto him: 'Dost thou now govern the kingdom of Israel? arise, and eat bread, and let thy heart be merry; I will give thee the vineyard of Naboth the Jezreelite.'
7王后 耶洗別 對 亞哈 說：「你現在是治理 以色列 國不是？只管起來，心裏暢暢快快地吃飯，我必將 耶斯列 人 拿伯 的葡萄園給你。」
8So she wrote letters in Ahab's name, and sealed them with his seal, and sent the letters unto the elders and to the nobles that were in his city, and that dwelt with Naboth.
8於是託 亞哈 的名寫信，用王的印印上，送給那些與 拿伯 同城居住的長老貴冑。
9And she wrote in the letters, saying: 'Proclaim a fast, and set Naboth at the head of the people;
9信上寫着說：「你們當宣告禁食，叫 拿伯 坐在民間的高位上，
10and set two men, base fellows, before him, and let them bear witness against him, saying: Thou didst curse God and the king. And then carry him out, and stone him, that he die.'
10又叫兩個匪徒坐在 拿伯 對面，作見證告他說：『你謗瀆上帝和王了』；隨後就把他拉出去用石頭打死。」
11And the men of his city, even the elders and the nobles who dwelt in his city, did as Jezebel had sent unto them, according as it was written in the letters which she had sent unto them.
11那些與 拿伯 同城居住的長老貴冑得了 耶洗別 的信，就照信而行，
12They proclaimed a fast, and set Naboth at the head of the people.
12宣告禁食，叫 拿伯 坐在民間的高位上。
13And the two men, the base fellows, came in and sat before him; and the base fellows bore witness against him, even against Naboth, in the presence of the people, saying: 'Naboth did curse God and the king.' Then they carried him forth out of the city, and stoned him with stones, that he died.
13有兩個匪徒來，坐在 拿伯 的對面，當着眾民作見證告他說：「 拿伯 謗瀆上帝和王了！」眾人就把他拉到城外，用石頭打死。
14Then they sent to Jezebel, saying: 'Naboth is stoned, and is dead.'
14於是打發人去見 耶洗別 ，說：「 拿伯 被石頭打死了。」
15And it came to pass, when Jezebel heard that Naboth was stoned, and was dead, that Jezebel said to Ahab: 'Arise, take possession of the vineyard of Naboth the Jezreelite, which he refused to give thee for money; for Naboth is not alive, but dead.'
15耶洗別 聽見 拿伯 被石頭打死，就對 亞哈 說：「你起來得 耶斯列 人 拿伯 不肯為價銀給你的葡萄園吧！現在他已經死了。」
16And it came to pass, when Ahab heard that Naboth was dead, that Ahab rose up to go down to the vineyard of Naboth the Jezreelite, to take possession of it.
16亞哈 聽見 拿伯 死了，就起來，下去要得 耶斯列 人 拿伯 的葡萄園。
17And the word of the LORD came to Elijah the Tishbite, saying:
17耶和華的話臨到 提斯比 人 以利亞 說：
18'Arise, go down to meet Ahab king of Israel, who dwelleth in Samaria; behold, he is in the vineyard of Naboth, whither he is gone down to take possession of it.
18「你起來，去見住 撒馬利亞 的 以色列 王 亞哈 ，他下去要得 拿伯 的葡萄園，現今正在那園裏。
19And thou shalt speak unto him, saying: Thus saith the LORD: Hast thou killed, and also taken possessions? and thou shalt speak unto him, saying: Thus saith the LORD: In the place where dogs licked the blood of Naboth shall dogs lick thy blood, even thine.'
19你要對他說：『耶和華如此說：你殺了人，又得他的產業嗎？』又要對他說：『耶和華如此說：狗在何處舔 拿伯 的血，也必在何處舔你的血。』」
20And Ahab said to Elijah: 'Hast thou found me, O mine enemy?' And he answered: 'I have found thee; because thou hast given thyself over to do that which is evil in the sight of the LORD.
20亞哈 對 以利亞 說：「我仇敵啊，你找到我嗎？」他回答說：「我找到你了；因為你賣了自己，行耶和華眼中看為惡的事。
21Behold, I will bring evil upon thee, and will utterly sweep thee away, and will cut off from Ahab every man-child, and him that is shut up and him that is left at large in Israel.
21耶和華說 ：『我必使災禍臨到你，將你除盡。凡屬你的男丁，無論困住的、自由的，都從 以色列 中剪除。
22And I will make thy house like the house of Jeroboam the son of Nebat, and like the house of Baasa the son of Ahijah, for the provocation wherewith thou hast provoked Me, and hast made Israel to sin.
22我必使你的家像 尼八 的兒子 耶羅波安 的家，又像 亞希雅 的兒子 巴沙 的家；因為你惹我發怒，又使 以色列 人陷在罪裏。』
23And of Jezebel also spoke the LORD, saying: The dogs shall eat Jezebel in the moat of Jezreel.
23論到 耶洗別 ，耶和華也說：『狗在 耶斯列 的外郭必吃 耶洗別 的肉。
24Him that dieth of Ahab in the city the dogs shall eat; and him that dieth in the field shall the fowls of the air eat.'
24凡屬 亞哈 的人，死在城中的必被狗吃，死在田野的必被空中的鳥吃。』」 （
25But there was none like unto Ahab, who did give himself over to do that which was evil in the sight of the LORD, whom Jezebel his wife stirred up.
25從來沒有像 亞哈 的，因他自賣，行耶和華眼中看為惡的事，受了王后 耶洗別 的聳動；
26And he did very abominably in following idols, according to all that the Amorites did, whom the LORD cast out before the children of Israel.
26就照耶和華在 以色列 人面前所趕出的 亞摩利 人，行了最可憎惡的事，信從偶像。）
27And it came to pass, when Ahab heard those words, that he rent his clothes, and put sackcloth upon his flesh, and fasted, and lay in sackcloth, and went softy.
27亞哈 聽見這話，就撕裂衣服，禁食，身穿麻布，睡臥也穿着麻布，並且緩緩而行。
28And the word of the LORD came to Elijah the Tishbite, saying:
28耶和華的話臨到 提斯比 人 以利亞 說：
29'Seest thou how Ahab humbleth himself before Me? because he humbleth himself before Me, I will not bring the evil in his days; but in his son's days will I bring the evil upon his house.'
29「 亞哈 在我面前這樣自卑，你看見了嗎？因他在我面前自卑，他還在世的時候，我不降這禍；到他兒子的時候，我必降這禍與他的家。」
