1ΙΝΑΤΙ ἐφρύαξαν ἔθνη, καὶ λαοὶ ἐμελέτησαν κενά;
1Why do the nations rage and the peoples plot in vain?
2παρέστησαν οἱ βασιλεῖς τῆς γῆς, καὶ οἱ ἄρχοντες συνήχθησαν ἐπὶ τὸ αὐτὸ κατὰ τοῦ Κυρίου καὶ κατὰ τοῦ χριστοῦ αὐτοῦ. (διάψαλμα).
2The kings of the earth take their stand and the rulers gather together, against the LORD and against His Anointed One:
3Διαρρήξωμεν τοὺς δεσμοὺς αὐτῶν καὶ ἀπορρίψωμεν ἀφ᾿ ἡμῶν τὸν ζυγὸν αὐτῶν.
3“Let us break Their chains and cast away Their cords.”
4ὁ κατοικῶν ἐν οὐρανοῖς ἐκγελάσεται αὐτούς, καὶ ὁ Κύριος ἐκμυκτηριεῖ αὐτούς.
4The One enthroned in heaven laughs; the Lord taunts them.
5τότε λαλήσει πρὸς αὐτοὺς ἐν ὀργῇ αὐτοῦ καὶ ἐν τῷ θυμῷ αὐτοῦ ταράξει αὐτούς.
5Then He rebukes them in His anger, and terrifies them in His fury:
6Ἐγὼ δὲ κατεστάθην βασιλεὺς ὑπ᾿ αὐτοῦ ἐπὶ Σιὼν ὄρος τὸ ἅγιον αὐτοῦ
6“I have installed My King on Zion, upon My holy mountain.”
7διαγγέλλων τὸ πρόσταγμα Κυρίου. Κύριος εἶπε πρός με· υἱός μου εἶ σύ, ἐγὼ σήμερον γεγέννηκά σε.
7I will proclaim the decree spoken to Me by the LORD: “You are My Son; today I have become Your Father.
8αἴτησαι παρ᾿ ἐμοῦ, καὶ δώσω σοι ἔθνη τὴν κληρονομίαν σου καὶ τὴν κατάσχεσίν σου τὰ πέρατα τῆς γῆς.
8Ask Me, and I will make the nations Your inheritance, the ends of the earth Your possession.
9ποιμανεῖς αὐτοὺς ἐν ράβδῳ σιδηρᾷ, ὡς σκεύη κεραμέως συντρίψεις αὐτούς.
9You will break them with an iron scepter; You will shatter them like pottery.”
10καὶ νῦν, βασιλεῖς, σύνετε, παιδεύθητε, πάντες οἱ κρίνοντες τὴν γῆν.
10Therefore be wise, O kings; be admonished, O judges of the earth.
11δουλεύσατε τῷ Κυρίῳ ἐν φόβῳ καὶ ἀγαλλιᾶσθε αὐτῷ ἐν τρόμῳ.
11Serve the LORD with fear, and rejoice with trembling.
12δράξασθε παιδείας, μήποτε ὀργισθῇ Κύριος καὶ ἀπολεῖσθε ἐξ ὁδοῦ δικαίας.
12Kiss the Son, lest He be angry and you perish in your rebellion, when His wrath ignites in an instant. Blessed are all who take refuge in Him.
13ὅταν ἐκκαυθῇ ἐν τάχει ὁ θυμὸς αὐτοῦ, μακάριοι πάντες οἱ πεποιθότες ἐπ᾿ αὐτῷ.
