1Mi volas do, ke vi sciu, kiel grandan klopodon mi havas pro vi, kaj pro tiuj en Laodikea, kaj pro ĉiuj, kiuj ne vidis mian vizaĝon en la karno;
1For I would that ye knew what great conflict I have for you, and for them at Laodicea, and for as many as have not seen my face in the flesh;
2por ke iliaj koroj konsoliĝu, dum ili kunkroĉiĝas en amo, kaj al ĉia riĉeco de la plena certiĝo de kompreno, por ke ili sciu la misteron de Dio, Kriston,
2That their hearts might be comforted, being knit together in love, and unto all riches of the full assurance of understanding, to the acknowledgement of the mystery of God, and of the Father, and of Christ;
3en kiu estas kaŝitaj ĉiuj trezoroj de saĝeco kaj de scio.
3In whom are hid all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge.
4Tion mi diras, por ke neniu vin trompu per parola allogeco.
4And this I say, lest any man should beguile you with enticing words.
5Ĉar kvankam mi laŭ karno forestas, tamen laŭ spirito mi estas kun vi, ĝojante kaj vidante vian ordon kaj la firmecon de via fido al Kristo.
5For though I be absent in the flesh, yet am I with you in the spirit, joying and beholding your order, and the stedfastness of your faith in Christ.
6Kiel do vi ricevis Kriston Jesuon, la Sinjoron, tiel vi iradu en li,
6As ye have therefore received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk ye in him:
7enradikigite kaj konstruite en li, kaj firmigite en la fido, kiel vi estas instruitaj, kun abundo da dankesprimo.
7Rooted and built up in him, and stablished in the faith, as ye have been taught, abounding therein with thanksgiving.
8Gardu vin, ke neniu prirabu vin per filozofio kaj vanta trompo, laŭ la tradicio de homoj, laŭ la elementoj de la mondo, kaj ne laŭ Kristo;
8Beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men, after the rudiments of the world, and not after Christ.
9ĉar en li korpe loĝas la tuta pleneco de la Dieco,
9For in him dwelleth all the fulness of the Godhead bodily.
10kaj vi estas plenigitaj en li, kiu estas la kapo de ĉia estreco kaj aŭtoritato;
10And ye are complete in him, which is the head of all principality and power:
11en kiu ankaŭ vi cirkumcidiĝis per cirkumcido ne manfarita, en la demeto de la korpo de la karno, en la cirkumcido de Kristo;
11In whom also ye are circumcised with the circumcision made without hands, in putting off the body of the sins of the flesh by the circumcision of Christ:
12enterigite kun li en bapto, en kiu ankaŭ vi estas kunlevitaj per la fido al la energio de Dio, kiu lin levis el la mortintoj.
12Buried with him in baptism, wherein also ye are risen with him through the faith of the operation of God, who hath raised him from the dead.
13Kaj vin, kiuj estis malvivaj per viaj eraroj kaj la necirkumcido de via karno, Li vivigis kun li, pardoninte al ni ĉiujn erarojn;
13And you, being dead in your sins and the uncircumcision of your flesh, hath he quickened together with him, having forgiven you all trespasses;
14elviŝinte la dekreton kontraŭ ni en ordonoj skribitan, kiu estis al ni malfavora, kaj li forprenis ĝin el la mezo, najlinte ĝin al la kruco;
14Blotting out the handwriting of ordinances that was against us, which was contrary to us, and took it out of the way, nailing it to his cross;
15kaj foriginte de si la estrecojn kaj la aŭtoritatojn, parade malkaŝis ilin, triumfante super ili en ĝi.
15And having spoiled principalities and powers, he made a shew of them openly, triumphing over them in it.
16Neniu do vin juĝu pri manĝaĵo, aŭ trinkaĵo, aŭ rilate al festo, aŭ novmonato, aŭ sabato;
16Let no man therefore judge you in meat, or in drink, or in respect of an holyday, or of the new moon, or of the sabbath days :
17kiuj estas ombro de la estontaĵoj, sed la korpo apartenas al Kristo.
17Which are a shadow of things to come; but the body is of Christ.
18Neniu forrabu de vi vian premion per memvola humileco kaj kulto de la anĝeloj, entrudante sin en tion, kion li ne vidis, vante blovoŝvelinte per sia karna menso,
18Let no man beguile you of your reward in a voluntary humility and worshipping of angels, intruding into those things which he hath not seen, vainly puffed up by his fleshly mind,
19kaj ne tenante sin al la Kapo, el kiu la tuta korpo, per la artikoj kaj ligiloj provizita kaj kunigita, kreskas laŭ la kreskigo de Dio.
19And not holding the Head, from which all the body by joints and bands having nourishment ministered, and knit together, increaseth with the increase of God.
20Se vi mortis kun Kristo for de la elementoj de la mondo, kial, kiel vivantaj en la mondo, vi submetiĝas al dekretoj:
20Wherefore if ye be dead with Christ from the rudiments of the world, why, as though living in the world, are ye subject to ordinances,
21Ne tuŝu, ne gustumu, ne palpu,
21(Touch not; taste not; handle not;
22pri ĉio, kio pereas per la uzado, laŭ la ordonoj kaj doktrinoj de homoj?
22Which all are to perish with the using;) after the commandments and doctrines of men?
23Ĉio tio havas ŝajnon de saĝeco en volokulto kaj humileco kaj severeco rilate al la korpo, sed ne en ia valoro por plensatigo de la karno.
23Which things have indeed a shew of wisdom in will worship, and humility, and neglecting of the body; not in any honour to the satisfying of the flesh.
