Kadede Kap (Pohnpeian New Testament and Psalms)
1And again he entered into Capharnaum after some days.
1MURIN ran akai a ap pil kotilon on Kapernaum, ap loki jili me a kotikot nan im o.
2And it was heard that he was in the house, and many came together, so that there was no room; no, not even at the door; and he spoke to them the word.
2Me toto ap madana pena, im o lao koidala o pil likin im o. A ap kotin kawewe on ir majan o.
3And they came to him, bringing one sick of the palsy, who was carried by four.
3Irail ari poto don re a, wa kodo me jomau rerer men, roan pa men.
4And when they could not offer him unto him for the multitude, they uncovered the roof where he was; and opening it, they let down the bed wherein the man sick of the palsy lay.
4Irail jota kak kai don impa pweki pokon o. Re ap palan pajan pon im o, waja a kotikot ia; irail lao palan pajan ap kakiredi ro o, me jomau o mi poa.
5And when Jesus had seen their faith, he saith to the sick of the palsy: Son, thy sins are forgiven thee.
5Iejuj lao mani ar pojon, ap majani on me jomau rerer o: Nai, dip om akan lapwa jan uk er!
6And there were some of the scribes sitting there, and thinking in their hearts:
6Ari, jaunkawewe kai momod waja o, monemonloleki:
7Why doth this man speak thus? he blasphemeth. Who can forgive sins, but God only?
7Da me men et lokelokaia? A lalaue. Ij me kak lapwada dip akan, pwe amen ta, Kot?
8Which Jesus presently knowing in his spirit, that they so thought within themselves, saith to them: Why think you these things in your hearts?
8Iejuj ari madan aniada nan kupur a duen ar monemonlole, ap kotin majani on irail: Da me komail monemonloleki?
9Which is easier, to say to the sick of the palsy: Thy sins are forgiven thee; or to say: Arise, take up thy bed, and walk?
9la me manai ren indai on me jomau rerer: Dip om akan lapwa jan uk er, de inda: Uda, ale ki om, kowei?
10But that you may know that the Son of man hath power on earth to forgive sins, (he saith to the sick of the palsy,)
10A pwe komail en aja, me Nain aramaj me manaman on lapwada dip akan nin jappa, iei me a kotin majanieki on me jomau rerer:
11I say to thee: Arise, take up thy bed, and go into thy house.
11I indai on uk: Uda! Al eki om! U ko on ni im om!
12And immediately he arose; and taking up his bed, went his way in the sight of all; so that all wondered and glorified God, saying: We never saw the like.
12I ari madan uda, ale ki aluwei mo rail karoj. Irail karoj ari malamalaua kila, kapina Kot inda: Je jaikenta man kilan meakot et!
13And he went forth again to the sea side; and all the multitude came to him, and he taught them.
13I ari pil kotila liman jed o. Irail karoj ap pokon don i, i ari kotin kawewe on irail.
14And when he was passing by, he saw Levi the son of Alpheus sitting at the receipt of custom; and he saith to him: Follow me. And rising up, he followed him.
14A lao kotin daulul waja o, ap majani Lewi, nain Alpauj, a momod ni wajan nopwei, ap majani on i: Idauen ia do! I ari uda idauenla i.
15And it came to pass, that as he sat at meat in his house, many publicans and sinners sat down together with Jesus and his disciples. For they were many, who also followed him.
15Kadekadeo a lao kaipokedi konot nan im a, jaunopwei o me dipan akan me toto ian Iejuj o japwilim a tounpadak kan konokonot; pwe irail me toto me idauen i.
16And the scribes and the Pharisees, seeing that he ate with publicans and sinners, said to his disiples: Why doth your master eat and drink with publicans and sinners?
16Ari, ni en jaunkawewe Pari jar akan ar kilan a kotin ian me dipan o jaunopwei kan konokonot, irail ap indai on japwilim a tounpadak kan: Da me a ianki jaunopwei o me dipan akan konot o kaker eki?
17Jesus hearing this, saith to them: They that are well have no need of a physician, but they that are sick. For I came not to call the just, but sinners.
17Ni en Iejuj aniada, ap kotin majani on irail: Me kelail akan jota mau on jaunwini pwe me jomau ta. I jota kodon ekeredo me pun kan, a me dipan akan.
18And the disiples of John and the Pharisees used to fast; and they come and say to him: Why do the disciples of John and of the Pharisees fast; but thy disciples do not fast?
18Irail ari kodo potoan on i: Da me en Ioanej a tounpadak kan kin kaijejol, o en Parijar ar tounpadak kan, a japwilim omui tounpadak kan jota kin kaijejol?
19And Jesus saith to them: Can the children of the marriage fast, as long as the bridegroom is with them? As long as they have the bridegroom with them, they cannot fast.
19Iejuj ap kotin majani on irail: Da, toun kamadip en kapapaud pan kak kaijejol ni en ol kamod a ian irail? Ni en ol kamod a ian irail, re jota pan kak kaijejol.
20But the days will come when the bridegroom shall be taken away from them; and then they shall fast in those days.
20A anjau kokodo, me ol kamod pan wijike jan irail, iei ran o, me re pan kaijejol.
21No man seweth a piece of raw cloth to an old garment: otherwise the new piecing taketh away from the old, and there is made a greater rent.
21Jota amen me pan deik on likau kap ni likau marin, pwe likau kap pan dei jan likau marin, por o ap pan laudela.
22And no man putteth new wine into old bottles: otherwise the wine will burst the bottles, and both the wine will be spilled, and the bottles will be lost. But new wine must be put into new bottles.
22Pil jota amen me kin deuke kida ed marin wain kap, pwe wain o de ter pajan ed o, wain o ari wudokila, ed o ola. A wain kap mau on nan ed kap.
23And it came to pass again, as the Lord walked through the corn fields on the sabbath, that his disciples began to go forward, and to pluck the ears of corn.
23Kadekadeo a kotin weid nan mat en korn ni ran en japat. Japwilim a tounpadak kan ap dondolun kowei wan korn.
24And the Pharisees said to him: Behold, why do they on the sabbath day that which is not lawful?
24Parijar oko ap indai on i: Kilan, da me irail wia ni japat. me jota pun, en wiaui?
25And he said to them: Have you never read what David did when he had need, and was hungry himself, and they that were with him?
25A kotin majani on irail: Komail jota wadoker, me Dawid wiadar, ni a men kaualap, o a men mana, i o me ian i?
26How he went into the house of God, under Abiathar the high priest, and did eat the loaves of proposition, which was not lawful to eat but for the priests, and gave to them who were with him?
26Duen a pedelon on nan tanpaj en Kot ni muein Apiulm jamero lapalap, o kanala prul mairon o nek on irail, me ian i, me jota pun aramaj en tunole, jamero kan eta?
27And he said to them: The sabbath was made for man, and not man for the sabbath.
27A ap kotin majani on irail: Japat me wiaui on aramaj a kaidik aramaj on japat.
28Therefore the Son of man is Lord of the sabbath also.
28I me Nain aramaj pil udan kaun en japat.
