1And the Philistines took the ark of God, and carried it from the Stone of help into Azotus.
1非利士 人将 神的 约 柜从 以便以谢 抬到 亚实突 。
2And the Philistines took the ark of God, and brought it into the temple of Dagon, and set it by Dagon.
2非利士 人将 神的 约 柜抬进 大衮 庙，放在 大衮 的旁边。
3And when the Azotians arose early the next day, behold Dagon lay upon his face on the ground before the ark of the Lord: and they took Dagon, and set him again in his place.
3次日清早， 亚实突 人起来，见 大衮 仆倒在耶和华的 约 柜前，脸伏于地，就把 大衮 仍立在原处。
4And the next day again, when they rose in the morning, they found Dagon lying upon his face on the earth before the ark of the Lord: and the head of Dagon, and both the palms of his hands were cut off upon the threshold:
4又次日清早起来，见 大衮 仆倒在耶和华的 约 柜前，脸伏于地，并且 大衮 的头和两手都在门槛上折断，只剩下 大衮 的 残体 。（
5And only the stump of Dagon remained in its place. For this cause neither the priests of Dagon, nor any that go into the temple tread on the threshold of Dagon in Azotus unto this day.
5因此， 大衮 的祭司和一切进 亚实突 、 大衮 庙的人都不踏 大衮 庙的门槛，直到今日。）
6And the hand of the Lord was heavy upon the Azotians, and he destroyed them, and afflicted Azotus and the coasts thereof with emerods. And in the villages and fields in the midst of that country, there came forth a multitude of mice, and there was the confusion of a great mortality in the city.
6耶和华的手重重加在 亚实突 人身上，败坏他们，使他们生痔疮。 亚实突 和 亚实突 的四境都是如此。
7And the men of Azotus seeing this kind of plague, said: The ark of the God of Israel shall not stay with us: for his hand is heavy upon us, and upon Dagon our god.
7亚实突 人见这光景，就说：「 以色列 神的 约 柜不可留在我们这里，因为他的手重重加在我们和我们神 大衮 的身上」；
8And sending, they gathered together all the lords of the Philistines to them, and said: What shall we do with the ark of the God of Israel? And the Gethrites answered: Let the ark of the God of Israel be carried about. And they carried the ark of the God of Israel about.
8就打发人去请 非利士 的众首领来聚集，问他们说：「我们向 以色列 神的 约 柜应当怎样行呢？」他们回答说：「可以将 以色列 神的 约 柜运到 迦特 去。」于是将 以色列 神的 约 柜运到那里去。
9And while they were carrying it about, the band of the Lord came upon every city with an exceeding great slaughter: and he smote the men of every city, both small and great, and they had emerods in their secret parts. And the Gethrites consulted together, and made themselves seats of skins.
9运到之后，耶和华的手攻击那城，使那城的人大大惊慌，无论大小都生痔疮。
10Therefore they sent the ark of God into Accaron. And when the ark of God was come into Accaron, the Accaronites cried out, saying: They have brought the ark of the God of Israel to us, to kill us and our people.
10他们就把 神的 约 柜送到 以革伦 。 神的 约 柜到了， 以革伦 人就喊嚷起来说：「他们将 以色列 神的 约 柜运到我们这里，要害我们和我们的众民！」
11They sent therefore and gathered together all the lords of the Philistines: and they said: Send away the ark of the God of Israel, and let it return into its own place, and not kill us and our people.
11于是打发人去请 非利士 的众首领来，说：「愿你们将 以色列 神的 约 柜送回原处，免得害了我们和我们的众民！」原来 神的手重重攻击那城，城中的人有因惊慌而死的；
12For there was the fear of death in every city, and the hand of God was exceeding heavy. The men also that did not die, were afflicted with the emerods: and the cry of every city went up to heaven.
12未曾死的人都生了痔疮。合城呼号，声音上达于天。
