1And David being old and full of days, made Solomon his son king over Israel.
1و چون داود پير و سالخورده شد، پسر خود سُليمان را به پادشاهي اسرائيل نصب نمود.
2And he gathered together all the princes of Israel, and the priests and Levites.
2و تمامي سروران اسرائيل و کاهنان و لاويان را جمع کرد.
3And the Levites were numbered from the age of thirty years, and upwards: and there were found of them thirty-eight thousand men.
3و لاويان از سي ساله و بالاتر شمرده شدند و عدد ايشان بر حسب سرهاي مردان ايشان، سي و هشت هزار بود.
4Of these twenty-four thousand were chosen, and distributed unto the ministry of the house of the Lord: and six thousand were the overseers and judges.
4از ايشان بيست و چهار هزار به جهت نظارت عمل خانه خداوند و شش هزار سروران و داوران بودند.
5Moreover four thousand were porters: and as many singers singing to the Lord with the instruments, which he had made to sing with.
5و چهار هزار دربانان و چهار هزار نفر بودند که خداوند را به آلاتي که به جهت تسبيح ساخته شد، تسبيح خواندند.
6And David distributed them into courses by the families of the sons of Levi, to wit, of Gerson, and of Caath, and of Merari.
6و داود ايشان را بر حسب پسران لاوي يعني جَرشون و قَهات و مَراري به فرقه ها تقسيم نمود.
7The sons of Gerson were Leedan and Semei.
7از جَرشونيان لَعدان و شِمعي.
8The sons of Leedan: the chief Jahiel, and Zethan, and Joel, three.
8پسران لَعدان اول يحيئيل و زيتام و سومين يوئيل.
9The sons of Semei: Salomith, and Hosiel, and Aran, three: these were the heads of the families of Leedan.
9پسران شِمعي شَلُومِيت و حَزِيئِيل و هاران سه نفر. اينان رؤساي خاندانهاي آباي لَعدان بودند.
10And the sons of Semei were Leheth, and Ziza, and Jaus, and Baria: these were the sons of Semei, four.
10و پسران شِمعي يحَت و زينا و يعُوش و بَريعَه. اينان چهار پسر شِمعي بودند.
11And Leheth was the first, Ziza the second: but Jaus and Baria had not many children, and therefore they were counted in one family, and in one house.
11و يحَت اولين و زيزا دومين و يعُوش و بَريعَه پسران بسيار نداشتند؛ از اين سبب يک خاندان آبا از ايشان شمرده شد.
12The sons of Caath were Amram, and Isaar, Hebron, and Oziel, four.
12پسران قَهات عَمرام و يصهار و حَبرُون و عُزّيئيل چهار نفر.
13The sons of Amram, Aaron, and Moses. And Aaron was separated to minister in the holy of holies, he and his sons for ever, and to burn incense before the Lord, according to his ceremonies, and to bless his name for ever.
13پسران عَمرام هارون و موسي و هارون ممتاز شد تا او و پسرانش قدس الاقداس را پيوسته تقديس نمايند و به حضور خداوند بخور بسوزانند و او را خدمت نمايند و به اسم او هميشه اوقات برکت دهند.
14The sons also of Moses, the man of God, were numbered in the tribe of Levi.
14و پسران موسي مرد خدا با سبط لاوي ناميده شدند.
15The sons of Moses were Gersom and Eliezer:
15پسران موسي جَرشوم و اَلِعازار.
16The sons of Gersom: Subuel the first.
16از پسران جَرشُوم شَبُوئيل رئيس بود.
17And the sons of Eliezer were: Rohobia the first: and Eliezer had no more sons. But the sons of Rohobia were multiplied exceedingly.
17و از پسران اَلِعازار رَحَبيا رئيس بود و اَلِعازار را پسر ديگر نبود؛ اما پسران رَحَبيا بسيار زياد بودند.
18The sons of Isaar: Salomith the first.
18از پسران يصهار شَلُوميت رئيس بود.
19The sons of Hebron: Jeriau the first, Amarias the second, Jahaziel the third, Jecmaam the fourth.
19پسران حَبرُون، اولين يرِيا و دومين اَمريا و سومين يحزِيئيل و چهارمين يقمَعام.
20The sons of Oziel: Micha the first, Jesia the second.
20پسران عُزّيئيل اولين ميکا و دومين يشِّيا.
21The sons of Merari: Moholi, and Musi. The sons of Moholi: Eleazar and Cia.
21پسران مَراري مَحلي و مُوشِي و پسران مَحلِي اَلِعازار و قَيس.
22And Eleazar died, and had no sons but daughters: and the sons of Cis their brethren took them.
22و اَلِعازار مُرد و او را پسري نبود؛ ليکن دختران داشت و برادران ايشان پسرانِ قَيس ايشان را به زني گرفتند.
23The sons of Musi: Moholi, and Eder, and Jerimoth, three.
23پسران مُوشِي مَحلي و عادَر و يريموت سه نفر بودند.
24These are the sons of Levi in their kindreds and families, princes by their courses, and the number of every head that did the works of the ministry of the house of the Lord from twenty years old and upward.
24اينان پسران لاوي موافق خاندانهاي آباي خود و رؤساي خاندانهاي آبا از آناني که شمرده شدند بر حسب شماره اسماي سرهاي خود بودند که از بيست ساله و بالاتر در عمل خدمت خانه خداوند مي پرداختند.
25For David said: The Lord the God of Israel hath given rest to his people, and a habitation in Jerusalem for ever.
25زيرا که داود گفت: « يهُوَه خداي اسرائيل قوم خويش را آرامي داده است و او در اورشليم تا به ابد ساکن مي باشد.
26And it shall not be the office of the Levites to carry any more the tabernacle, and all the vessels for the service thereof.
26و نيز لاويان را ديگر لازم نيست که مسکن و همه اسباب خدمت را بردارند.»
27So according to the last precepts of David, the sons of Levi are to be numbered from twenty years old and upward.
27لهذا بر حسب فرمان آخر داود پسران لاوي از بيست ساله و بالاتر شمرده شدند.
28And they are to be under the hand of the sons of Aaron for the service of the house of the Lord, in the porches, and in the chambers, and in the place of purification, and in the sanctuary, and in all the works of the ministry of the temple of the Lord.
28زيرا که منصب ايشان به طرف بني هارون بود تا خانه خداوند را خدمت نمايند، در صحن ها و حجره ها و براي تطهير همه چيزهاي مقدس و عمل خدمت خانه خدا.
29And the priests have the charge of the leaves of proposition, and of the sacrifice of fine flour, and of the unleavened cakes, and of the fryingpan, and of the roasting, and of every weight and measure.
29و بر نان تَقدِمه و آرد نرم به جهت هديه آردي و قرصهاي فطير و آنچه بر ساج پخته مي شود و رَبيکه ها و بر همه کيلها و وزنها.
30And the Levites are to stand in the morning to give thanks, and to sing praises to the Lord: and in like manner in the evening,
30و تا هر صبح براي تسبيح و حمد خداوند حاضر شوند و همچنين هر شام.
31As well in the oblation of the holocausts of the Lord, as in the sabbaths and in the new moons, and the rest of the solemnities, according to the number and ceremonies prescribed for every thing, continually before the Lord.
31و به جهت گذرانيدن همه قرباني هاي سوختني براي خداوند در هر روز سبت و غرّه ها و عيدها بر حسب شماره و بر وفق قانون آنها دائماً به حضور خداوند.
32And let them keep the observances of the tabernacle of the covenant, and the ceremonies of the sanctuary, and the charge of the sons of Aaron their brethren, that they may minister in the house of the Lord.
32و براي نگاه داشتن وظيفه خيمه اجتماع و وظيفه قدس و وظيفه برادران خود بني هارون در خدمت خانه خداوند.
