Testamenta Marra (Dieri New Testament)Translation
Testamenta Marra (Dieri New Testament)
Douay-Rheims Bible, American Edition (1899)
1Morla, ngatata worajai, ngaiani jurangu ngatjiai ja jurana kurukurubai Kaparani Jesungu, jura ngaianingundru matja manina, worderu jura wirarinanto ja Goda ngantjananto, jura milingeru morla ja morla pirnarinanto;
1For the rest therefore, brethren, we pray and beseech you in the Lord Jesus, that as you have received from us, how you ought to walk, and to please God, so also you would walk, that you may abound the more.
2Ngangau jura milkila, mina jirijiribani jaura ngaiani jurangu jinkinala Kaparani Jesungu.
2For you know what precepts I have given to you by the Lord Jesus.
3Ngangau jenia Godaia jertapaterini nganai: Jurani kulikirila. Jura ngamalkaterinanto palakantjindru,
3For this is the will of God, your sanctification; that you should abstain from fornication;
4Pratjana jurangundru milkila nganananto, tanani koko ngamalkaterila kulikiri ja pirna,
4That every one of you should know how to possess his vessel in sanctification and honour:
5Wata milkirinaia jertapaterinali kanani koni jeribaka, tana ko nganai Godandru;
5Not in the passion of lust, like the Gentiles that know not God:
6Wata kulno nejini nunkanani jinkimalinani ngirkingirkinanto ja jedibananto, ngangau Kapara kalala jinkinietja nganai warupotundru, worderu ngaiani jurangu ngopera kaukaubana wonti ja morlalu kurana wonti.
6And that no man overreach, nor circumvent his brother in business: because the Lord is the avenger of all these things, as we have told you before, and have testified.
7Ngangau Godali wata ngaianana karkana wonti murumuruja, a‐ai, kulikiria.
7For God hath not called us unto uncleanness, but unto sanctification.
8Jendrangundruja, warle waka ngundrai, nulu wata kana waka ngundrai, a‐ai, Goda, Nulia Jaola kulikiri nunkani jurangu jinkina wonti.
8Therefore, he that despiseth these things, despiseth not man, but God, who also hath given his holy Spirit in us.
9Ngatata ngantjanandru baku nganai jurangu dakala, ngangau jura munta Godandru kiri nganai, jura ngantjamalinanto.
9But as touching the charity of brotherhood, we have no need to write to you: for yourselves have learned of God to love one another.
10Jenia jura bakana ngankai ngatata pratjanani, tana Macedoniani paruparu ngamai. Ngaiani jurana kurukurubai, ngatata worajai, jura morla ja morla pirnarinanto,
10For indeed you do it towards all the brethren in all Macedonia. But we entreat you, brethren, that you abound more:
11Ja jenia pirna ngundranau, jura ngapu nganananto, ja pilki ja pilki nunkanina ngankananto, ja muntali marali juranali ngankananto, worderu ngaiani jurangu jirijiribana wonti;
11And that you use your endeavour to be quiet, and that you do your own business, and work with your own hands, as we commanded you: and that you walk honestly towards them that are without; and that you want nothing of any man’s.
12Jura talku wirarinanto tanangu, tana palarani, jura wata kulno karkananto. (Dakani jaura G. D. 25 Trinitatis.)
12And we will not have you ignorant, brethren, concerning them that are asleep, that you be not sorrowful, even as others who have no hope.
13Ngaiani wata ngantjai, ngatata worajai, jura ko nganananto tanangundru, tana turarai, ngangau jura wata ngaurongauro nganananto nguruni jeribaka, tana kalkani panini.
13For if we believe that Jesus died, and rose again; even so them who have slept through Jesus, will God bring with him.
14Ngangau ngaiana morlalu ngundranani Jesus palina wonti ja tepi terkakana wonti, jeruja Godali bakana tanana, tana Jesungunto turarana wonti, nunkangu jela wapalkala nganai.
14For this we say unto you in the word of the Lord, that we who are alive, who remain unto the coming of the Lord, shall not prevent them who have slept.
15Ngangau jenia ngaiani jurangu jatai Kaparaia jaurali: Ngaiana, matja tepi ja pinpani ngamai Kaparaia tikanaia, tanangu, tana turarai, wata wiringala nganai.
15For the Lord himself shall come down from heaven with commandment, and with the voice of an archangel, and with the trumpet of God: and the dead who are in Christ, shall rise first.
16Ngangau Nulia muntali, Kaparali, julja wolaraia maritjinali ja angelaia kaparaia ngaialali ja Godaia wima kokojeli ngarila nganai pariwilpandru, ja narila Christuni ngopera jiritjila nganai;
16Then we who are alive, who are left, shall be taken up together with them in the clouds to meet Christ, into the air, and so shall we be always with the Lord.
17Ngadani ngaiana, tana tepi ja pinpani ngamai, tanangu jela tertapala nganai talara palkuni, Kaparani mandurila ngaranani, ja kararindru ngaiana Kaparani jela ngamala nganai ngurali.
17Wherefore, comfort ye one another with these words.
18Nulupini jaurali ngankalkijiribamalianimai.
