King James Version with Apocrypha
1ⲡⲓⲡ͞ⲛⲁ̅ ⲇⲉ ⲉϥϫⲱ ⳿ⲙⲙⲟⲥ ⲣⲏⲧⲟⲥ ϫⲉ ϧⲉⲛ ⲛⲓ⳿ⲉϩⲟⲟⲩ ⳿ⲛϧⲁ⳿ⲉ ⲉⲣⲉ ϩⲁⲛⲟⲩⲟⲛ ϩⲉⲛⲟⲩ ⲥⲁⲃⲟⲗ ⳿ⲙ⳿ⲫⲛⲁϩϯ ⲉⲩϯ ⳿ⲛ⳿ϩⲑⲏⲟⲩ ⳿ⲉϩⲁⲛⲡ͞ⲛⲁ̅ ⳿ⲙ⳿ⲡⲗⲁⲛⲟⲥ ⲛⲉⲙ ϩⲁⲛⲥⲁϫⲓ ⳿ⲛⲇⲉⲙⲱⲛ.
1Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils;
2⳿ⲛⲧⲉ ϩⲁⲛϣⲟⲃⲓ ⳿ⲛⲣⲉϥϫⲉⲥⲁϫⲓ ⳿ⲙⲙⲉⲑⲛⲟⲩϫ ⲉⲣⲉ ⲧⲟⲩⲥⲩⲛⲏⲇⲏⲥⲓⲥ ⲣⲱⲕϩ ⳿ⲛ⳿ϧⲣⲏⲓ ⳿ⲛϧⲏⲧⲟⲩ.
2Speaking lies in hypocrisy; having their conscience seared with a hot iron;
3ⲉⲩⲧⲁϩⲛⲟ ⳿ⲙⲡⲓⲅⲁⲙⲟⲥ ⲛⲉⲙ ⳿ⲉϩⲉⲛⲟⲩ ⲥⲁⲃⲟⲗ ⳿ⲛⲛⲓ⳿ϧⲣⲏⲟⲩ⳿ⲓ ⲛⲁⲓ ⲉⲧⲁ ⲫϯ ⲥⲟⲛⲧⲟⲩ ⳿ⲛⲛⲓⲡⲓⲥⲧⲟⲥ ⲉⲑⲣⲟⲩϭⲓ ⳿ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ⳿ⲛϧⲏⲧⲟⲩ ϧⲉⲛ ⲟⲩϣⲉⲡ⳿ϩⲙⲟⲧ ⲛⲉⲙ ⲛⲏⲉⲧⲁⲩⲥⲟⲩⲉⲛ ϯⲙⲉⲑⲙⲏⲓ.
3Forbidding to marry, and commanding to abstain from meats, which God hath created to be received with thanksgiving of them which believe and know the truth.
4ϫⲉ ⲥⲱⲛⲧ ⲛⲓⲃⲉⲛ ⳿ⲛⲧⲉ ⲫϯ ⲛⲁⲛⲉϥ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⳿ⲙⲙⲟⲛ ⳿ϩⲗⲓ ⲉϥϩⲱⲟⲩ⳿ⲓ ⳿ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ⲉⲩϭⲓ ⳿ⲙⲙⲟϥ ϧⲉⲛ ⲟⲩϣⲉⲡ⳿ϩⲙⲟⲧ.
4For every creature of God is good, and nothing to be refused, if it be received with thanksgiving:
5ϣⲁϥⲧⲟⲩⲃⲟ ⲅⲁⲣ ⳿ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ϩⲓⲧⲉⲛ ⲟⲩⲥⲁϫⲓ ⳿ⲛⲧⲉ ⲫϯ ⲛⲉⲙ ⲟⲩⲥⲉⲙⲓ.
5For it is sanctified by the word of God and prayer.
6ⲛⲁⲓ ⲉⲕⲭⲱ ⳿ⲙⲙⲱⲟⲩ ϧⲁⲧⲉⲛ ⲛⲓ⳿ⲥⲛⲏⲟⲩ ⲉⲕ⳿ⲉϣⲱⲡⲓ ⳿ⲛⲟⲩⲇⲓ⳿ⲁⲕⲱⲛ ⳿ⲉⲛⲁⲛⲉϥ ⳿ⲛⲧⲉ Ⲡⲭ̅ⲥ̅ ⲉⲕϣⲁⲛⲉⲩϣ ϧⲉⲛ ⲛⲓⲥⲁϫⲓ ⳿ⲛⲧⲉ ⳿ⲫⲛⲁϩϯ ⲛⲉⲙ ϯ⳿ⲥⲃⲱ ⲉⲑⲛⲁⲛⲉⲥ ⲑⲏ ⲉⲧⲁⲕⲙⲟϣⲓ ⳿ⲛⲥⲱⲥ.
6If thou put the brethren in remembrance of these things, thou shalt be a good minister of Jesus Christ, nourished up in the words of faith and of good doctrine, whereunto thou hast attained.
7ⲛⲓ⳿ⲥⲙⲏ ⲇⲉ ⲉⲧⲥⲱϥ ⲛⲉⲙ ⲛⲓ⳿ϣϥⲱ ⳿ⲛϧⲉⲗⲗⲱ ϩⲉⲛⲕ ⳿ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ⳿ⲙⲙⲱⲟⲩ ⲁⲣⲓⲅⲩⲙⲛⲁⲍⲓⲛ ⳿ⲙⲙⲱⲟⲩ ϧⲉⲛ ϯⲙⲉⲧⲉⲩⲥⲉⲃⲏⲥ.
7But refuse profane and old wives’ fables, and exercise thyself rather unto godliness.
8ϯⲅⲩⲙⲛⲁⲥⲓⲁ ⲅⲁⲣ ⳿ⲛⲧⲉ ⲡⲓⲥⲱⲙⲁ ⳿ⲥⲉⲣⲛⲟϥⲣⲓ ⳿ⲡⲣⲟⲥ ⲟⲩⲕⲟⲩϫⲓ ϯⲙⲉⲧⲉⲩⲥⲉⲃⲏⲥ ⲇⲉ ⳿ⲥⲉⲣⲛⲟϥⲣⲓ ϧⲉⲛ ϩⲱⲃ ⲛⲓⲃⲉⲛ ⳿ⲉⲟⲩⲟⲛⲧⲁⲥ ⳿ⲙⲙⲁⲩ ⳿ⲛⲟⲩⲱϣ ⳿ⲛⲧⲉ ⳿ⲡⲱⲛϧ ⳿ⲛⲧⲉ ϯⲛⲟⲩ ⲛⲉⲙ ⲡⲉⲑⲛⲏⲟⲩ.
8For bodily exercise profiteth little: but godliness is profitable unto all things, having promise of the life that now is, and of that which is to come.
9⳿ϥⲉⲛϩⲟⲧ ⳿ⲛϫⲉ ⳿ⲡⲥⲁϫⲓ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⳿ϥⲉⲙ⳿ⲡϣⲁ ⳿ⲛⲧⲉⲛϣⲟⲡϥ ⳿ⲉⲣⲟⲛ ϧⲉⲛ ϣⲱⲡ ⲛⲓⲃⲉⲛ.
9This is a faithful saying and worthy of all acceptation.
10ⲉⲑⲃⲉⲫⲁⲓ ⲅⲁⲣ ⲧⲉⲛϧⲟⲥⲓ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲥⲉϯ ϣⲱϣ ⲛⲁⲛ ϫⲉ ⲁⲛⲉⲣϩⲉⲗⲡⲓⲥ ⳿ⲉⲫϯ ⲉⲧⲟⲛϧ ⲉⲧⲉ ⳿ⲡⲥⲱⲧⲏⲣ ⳿ⲛⲣⲱⲙⲓ ⲛⲓⲃⲉⲛ ⲙⲁⲗⲓⲥⲧⲁ ⲛⲓⲡⲓⲥⲧⲟⲥ.
10For therefore we both labour and suffer reproach, because we trust in the living God, who is the Saviour of all men, specially of those that believe.
11ϩⲟⲛϩⲉⲛ ⳿ⲛⲛⲁⲓ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲙⲁ⳿ⲥⲃⲱ.
11These things command and teach.
12⳿ⲙⲡⲉⲛ⳿ⲑⲣⲉ ⳿ϩⲗⲓ ⲉⲣⲕⲁⲧⲁ⳿ⲫⲣⲟⲛⲓⲛ ⳿ⲛⲧⲉⲕⲙⲉⲧ⳿ⲁⲗⲟⲩ ⲁⲗⲗⲁ ϣⲱⲡⲓ ⲉⲕⲟⲓ ⳿ⲛⲧⲩⲡⲟⲥ ⳿ⲛⲛⲓⲡⲓⲥⲧⲟⲥ ϧⲉⲛ ⳿ⲡⲥⲁϫⲓ ϧⲉⲛ ⲡⲓϫⲓⲛⲙⲟϣⲓ ϧⲉⲛ ϯⲁⲅⲁⲡⲏ ϧⲉⲛ ⲡⲓⲛⲁϩϯ ϧⲉⲛ ⲡⲓⲧⲟⲩⲃⲟ.
12Let no man despise thy youth; but be thou an example of the believers, in word, in conversation, in charity, in spirit, in faith, in purity.
13ϩⲱⲥ ϯⲛⲏⲟⲩ ⲙⲁ⳿ϩⲑⲏⲕ ⳿ⲉⲡⲓⲱϣ ⲡⲓⲧⲱⲃϩ ϯⲙⲉⲧⲣⲉϥϯ⳿ⲥⲃⲱ.
13Till I come, give attendance to reading, to exhortation, to doctrine.
14⳿ⲙⲡⲉⲣⲉⲣⲁⲙⲉⲗⲉⲥ ⳿ⲉⲡⲓ⳿ϩⲙⲟⲧ ⲉⲧⲉ⳿ⲛϧⲏⲧⲕ ⲫⲁⲓ ⲉⲧⲁⲩⲧⲏⲓϥ ⲛⲁⲕ ⳿ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ϩⲓⲧⲉⲛ ⲟⲩ⳿ⲡⲣⲟⲫⲏ ⲧⲓ⳿ⲁ ⲛⲉⲙ ⲡⲓⲭⲁϫⲓϫ ⳿ⲛⲧⲉ ϯⲙⲉⲧ⳿ⲡⲣⲉⲥⲃⲩⲧⲉⲣⲟⲥ.
14Neglect not the gift that is in thee, which was given thee by prophecy, with the laying on of the hands of the presbytery.
15ⲛⲁⲓ ⲁⲣⲓⲙⲉⲗⲉⲧⲁⲛ ⳿ⲙⲙⲱⲟⲩ ϣⲱⲡⲓ ϧⲉⲛ ⲛⲁⲓ ϩⲓⲛⲁ ⳿ⲛⲧⲉ ⲡⲉⲕ⳿ⲓ ⲉⲧϩⲏ ϣⲱⲡⲓ ⲉϥⲟⲩⲟⲛϩ ⳿ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ⳿ⲛⲟⲩⲟⲛ ⲛⲓⲃⲉⲛ.
15Meditate upon these things; give thyself wholly to them; that thy profiting may appear to all.
16ⲙⲁ⳿ϩⲑⲏⲕ ⳿ⲉⲣⲟⲕ ⲛⲉⲙ ϯⲙⲉⲧⲣⲉϥϯ⳿ⲥⲃⲱ ϣⲱⲡⲓ ⲉⲕⲙⲏⲛ ⳿ⲛ⳿ϧⲣⲏⲓ ⳿ⲛϧⲏⲧⲟⲩ ⲫⲁⲓ ⲅⲁⲣ ⲉⲕ⳿ⲓⲣⲓ ⳿ⲙⲙⲟϥ ⲉⲕ⳿ⲉⲛⲁϩⲙⲉⲕ ⲛⲉⲙ ⲛⲏⲉⲧⲥⲱⲧⲉⲙ ⳿ⲉⲣⲟⲕ
16Take heed unto thyself, and unto the doctrine; continue in them: for in doing this thou shalt both save thyself, and them that hear thee.
