1所罗门 的箴言： 智慧之子使父亲欢乐； 愚昧之子叫母亲担忧。
1The proverbs of Solomon: A wise son brings joy to his father, but a foolish son grief to his mother.
2不义之财毫无益处； 惟有公义能救人脱离死亡。
2Ill-gotten treasures profit nothing, but righteousness brings deliverance from death.
3耶和华不使义人受饥饿； 恶人所欲的，他必推开。
3The LORD does not let the righteous go hungry, but He denies the craving of the wicked.
4手懒的，要受贫穷； 手勤的，却要富足。
4Idle hands make one poor, but diligent hands bring wealth.
5夏天聚敛的，是智慧之子； 收割时沉睡的，是贻羞之子。
5He who gathers in summer is a wise son, but he who sleeps during harvest is a disgraceful son.
6福祉临到义人的头； 强暴蒙蔽恶人的口。
6Blessings are on the head of the righteous, but the mouth of the wicked conceals violence.
7义人的纪念被称赞； 恶人的名字必朽烂。
7The memory of the righteous is a blessing, but the name of the wicked will rot.
8心中智慧的，必受命令； 口里愚妄的，必致倾倒。
8A wise heart will receive commandments, but foolish lips will come to ruin.
9行正直路的，步步安稳； 走弯曲道的，必致败露。
9He who walks in integrity walks securely, but he who perverts his ways will be found out.
10以眼传神的，使人忧患； 口里愚妄的，必致倾倒。
10He who winks the eye causes grief, and foolish lips will come to ruin.
11义人的口是生命的泉源； 强暴蒙蔽恶人的口。
11The mouth of the righteous is a fountain of life, but the mouth of the wicked conceals violence.
12恨能挑启争端； 爱能遮掩一切过错。
12Hatred stirs up dissension, but love covers all transgressions.
13明哲人嘴里有智慧； 无知人背上受刑杖。
13Wisdom is found on the lips of the discerning, but a rod is for the back of him who lacks judgment.
14智慧人积存知识； 愚妄人的口速致败坏。
14The wise store up knowledge, but the mouth of the fool invites destruction.
15富户的财物是他的坚城； 穷人的贫乏是他的败坏。
15The wealth of the rich man is his fortified city, but poverty is the ruin of the poor.
16义人的勤劳致生； 恶人的进项致死。
16The labor of the righteous leads to life, but the gain of the wicked brings punishment.
17谨守训诲的，乃在生命的道上； 违弃责备的，便失迷了路。
17Whoever heeds instruction is on the path to life, but he who ignores reproof goes astray.
18隐藏怨恨的，有说谎的嘴； 口出谗谤的，是愚妄的人。
18The one who conceals hatred has lying lips, and whoever spreads slander is a fool.
19多言多语难免有过； 禁止嘴唇是有智慧。
19When words are many, sin is unavoidable, but he who restrains his lips is wise.
20义人的舌乃 似 高银； 恶人的心所值无几。
20The tongue of the righteous is choice silver, but the heart of the wicked has little worth.
21义人的口教养多人； 愚昧人因无知而死亡。
21The lips of the righteous feed many, but fools die for lack of judgment.
22耶和华所赐的福使人富足， 并不加上忧虑。
22The blessing of the LORD enriches, and He adds no sorrow to it.
23愚妄人以行恶为戏耍； 明哲人却以智慧为乐。
23The fool delights in shameful conduct, but a man of understanding has wisdom.
24恶人所怕的，必临到他； 义人所愿的，必蒙应允。
24What the wicked man dreads will overtake him, but the desire of the righteous will be granted.
25暴风一过，恶人归于无有； 义人的根基却是永久。
25When the whirlwind passes, the wicked are no more, but the righteous are secure forever.
26懒惰人叫差他的人 如醋倒牙，如烟薰目。
26Like vinegar to the teeth and smoke to the eyes, so is the slacker to those who send him.
27敬畏耶和华使人日子加多； 但恶人的年岁必被减少。
27The fear of the LORD prolongs life, but the years of the wicked will be cut short.
28义人的盼望 必得 喜乐； 恶人的指望必致灭没。
28The hope of the righteous is joy, but the expectations of the wicked will perish.
29耶和华的道是正直人的保障， 却成了作孽人的败坏。
29The way of the LORD is a refuge to the upright, but destruction awaits those who do evil.
30义人永不挪移； 恶人不得住在地上。
30The righteous will never be shaken, but the wicked will not inhabit the land.
31义人的口滋生智慧； 乖谬的舌必被割断。
31The mouth of the righteous brings forth wisdom, but a perverse tongue will be cut out.
32义人的嘴能令人喜悦； 恶人的口 说 乖谬的话。
32The lips of the righteous know what is fitting, but the mouth of the wicked is perverse.
