1亚伯兰 年九十九岁的时候，耶和华向他显现，对他说：「我是全能的 神。你当在我面前作完全人，
1When Abram was ninety-nine years old, the LORD appeared to Abram and said to him, “I am God Almighty. Walk before me and be blameless.
2我就与你立约，使你 的后裔 极其繁多。」
2I will make my covenant between me and you, and will multiply you exceedingly.”
3亚伯兰 俯伏在地； 神又对他说：
3Abram fell on his face. God talked with him, saying,
4「我与你立约：你要作多国的父。
4“As for me, behold, my covenant is with you. You will be the father of a multitude of nations.
5从此以后，你的名不再叫 亚伯兰 ，要叫 亚伯拉罕 ，因为我已立你作多国的父。
5Your name will no more be called Abram, but your name will be Abraham; for I have made you the father of a multitude of nations.
6我必使你 的后裔 极其繁多；国度从你而立，君王从你而出。
6I will make you exceedingly fruitful, and I will make nations of you. Kings will come out of you.
7我要与你并你世世代代的后裔坚立我的约，作永远的约，是要作你和你后裔的 神。
7I will establish my covenant between me and you and your offspring after you throughout their generations for an everlasting covenant, to be a God to you and to your offspring after you.
8我要将你现在寄居的地，就是 迦南 全地，赐给你和你的后裔永远为业，我也必作他们的 神。」
8I will give to you, and to your offspring after you, the land where you are traveling, all the land of Canaan, for an everlasting possession. I will be their God.”
9神又对 亚伯拉罕 说：「你和你的后裔必世世代代遵守我的约。
9God said to Abraham, “As for you, you shall keep my covenant, you and your offspring after you throughout their generations.
10你们所有的男子都要受割礼；这就是我与你并你的后裔所立的约，是你们所当遵守的。
10This is my covenant, which you shall keep, between me and you and your offspring after you. Every male among you shall be circumcised.
11你们都要受割礼；这是我与你们立约的证据。
11You shall be circumcised in the flesh of your foreskin. It will be a token of the covenant between me and you.
12你们世世代代的男子，无论是家里生的，是在你后裔之外用银子从外人买的，生下来第八日，都要受割礼。
12He who is eight days old shall be circumcised among you, every male throughout your generations, he who is born in the house, or bought with money from any foreigner who is not of your offspring.
13你家里生的和你用银子买的，都必须受割礼。这样，我的约就立在你们肉体上作永远的约。
13He who is born in your house, and he who is bought with your money, must be circumcised. My covenant shall be in your flesh for an everlasting covenant.
14但不受割礼的男子必从民中剪除，因他背了我的约。」
14The uncircumcised male who is not circumcised in the flesh of his foreskin, that soul shall be cut off from his people. He has broken my covenant.”
15神又对 亚伯拉罕 说：「你的妻子 撒莱 不可再叫 撒莱 ，她的名要叫 撒拉 。
15God said to Abraham, “As for Sarai your wife, you shall not call her name Sarai, but her name shall be Sarah.
16我必赐福给她，也要使你从她得一个儿子。我要赐福给她，她也要作多国之 母 ；必有百姓的君王从她而出。」
16I will bless her, and moreover I will give you a son by her. Yes, I will bless her, and she will be a mother of nations. Kings of peoples will come from her.”
17亚伯拉罕 就俯伏在地喜笑，心里说：「一百岁的人还能得孩子吗？ 撒拉 已经九十岁了，还能生养吗？」
17Then Abraham fell on his face, and laughed, and said in his heart, “Will a child be born to him who is one hundred years old? Will Sarah, who is ninety years old, give birth?”
18亚伯拉罕 对 神说：「但愿 以实玛利 活在你面前。」
18Abraham said to God, “Oh that Ishmael might live before you!”
19神说：「不然，你妻子 撒拉 要给你生一个儿子，你要给他起名叫 以撒 。我要与他坚定所立的约，作他后裔永远的约。
19God said, “No, but Sarah, your wife, will bear you a son. You shall call his name Isaac. I will establish my covenant with him for an everlasting covenant for his offspring after him.
20至于 以实玛利 ，我也应允你：我必赐福给他，使他昌盛，极其繁多。他必生十二个族长；我也要使他成为大国。
20As for Ishmael, I have heard you. Behold, I have blessed him, and will make him fruitful, and will multiply him exceedingly. He will become the father of twelve princes, and I will make him a great nation.
21到明年这时节， 撒拉 必给你生 以撒 ，我要与他坚定所立的约。」
21But I will establish my covenant with Isaac, whom Sarah will bear to you at this set time next year.”
22神和 亚伯拉罕 说完了话，就离开他上升去了。
22When he finished talking with him, God went up from Abraham.
23正当那日， 亚伯拉罕 遵着 神的命，给他的儿子 以实玛利 和家里的一切男子，无论是在家里生的，是用银子买的，都行了割礼。
23Abraham took Ishmael his son, all who were born in his house, and all who were bought with his money: every male among the men of Abraham’s house, and circumcised the flesh of their foreskin in the same day, as God had said to him.
24亚伯拉罕 受割礼的时候年九十九岁。
24Abraham was ninety-nine years old when he was circumcised in the flesh of his foreskin.
25他儿子 以实玛利 受割礼的时候年十三岁。
25Ishmael, his son, was thirteen years old when he was circumcised in the flesh of his foreskin.
26正当那日， 亚伯拉罕 和他儿子 以实玛利 一同受了割礼。
26In the same day both Abraham and Ishmael, his son, were circumcised.
27家里所有的人，无论是在家里生的，是用银子从外人买的，也都一同受了割礼。
27All the men of his house, those born in the house, and those bought with money from a foreigner, were circumcised with him.
