1「 以色列 人哪，现在我所教训你们的律例典章，你们要听从遵行，好叫你们存活，得以进入耶和华—你们列祖之 神所赐给你们的地，承受为业。
1Now, Israel, listen to the statutes and to the ordinances which I teach you, to do them, that you may live and go in and possess the land which the LORD, the God of your fathers, gives you.
2所吩咐你们的话，你们不可加添，也不可删减，好叫你们遵守我所吩咐的，就是耶和华—你们 神的命令。
2You shall not add to the word which I command you, neither shall you take away from it, that you may keep the commandments of the LORD your God which I command you.
3耶和华因 巴力·毗珥 的事所行的，你们亲眼看见了。凡随从 巴力·毗珥 的人，耶和华—你们的 神都从你们中间除灭了。
3Your eyes have seen what the LORD did because of Baal Peor; for the LORD your God has destroyed all the men who followed Baal Peor from among you.
4惟有你们专靠耶和华—你们 神的人，今日全都存活。
4But you who were faithful to the LORD your God are all alive today.
5我照着耶和华—我 神所吩咐的将律例典章教训你们，使你们在所要进去得为业的地上遵行。
5Behold, I have taught you statutes and ordinances, even as the LORD my God commanded me, that you should do so in the middle of the land where you go in to possess it.
6所以你们要谨守遵行；这就是你们在万民眼前的智慧、聪明。他们听见这一切律例，必说：『这大国的人真是有智慧，有聪明！』
6Keep therefore and do them; for this is your wisdom and your understanding in the sight of the peoples who shall hear all these statutes and say, “Surely this great nation is a wise and understanding people.”
7哪一大国的人有神与他们相近，像耶和华—我们的 神、在我们求告他的时候与我们相近呢？
7For what great nation is there that has a god so near to them as the LORD our God is whenever we call on him?
8又哪一大国有这样公义的律例典章、像我今日在你们面前所陈明的这一切律法呢？
8What great nation is there that has statutes and ordinances so righteous as all this law which I set before you today?
9「你只要谨慎，殷勤保守你的心灵，免得忘记你亲眼所看见的事，又免得你一生、这事离开你的心；总要传给你的子子孙孙。
9Only be careful, and keep your soul diligently, lest you forget the things which your eyes saw, and lest they depart from your heart all the days of your life; but make them known to your children and your children’s children—
10你在 何烈山 站在耶和华—你 神面前的那日，耶和华对我说：『你为我招聚百姓，我要叫他们听见我的话，使他们存活在世的日子，可以学习敬畏我，又可以教训儿女这样行。』
10the day that you stood before the LORD your God in Horeb, when the LORD said to me, “Assemble the people to me, and I will make them hear my words, that they may learn to fear me all the days that they live on the earth, and that they may teach their children.”
11那时你们近前来，站在山下；山上有火焰冲天，并有昏黑、密云、幽暗。
11You came near and stood under the mountain. The mountain burned with fire to the heart of the sky, with darkness, cloud, and thick darkness.
12耶和华从火焰中对你们说话，你们只听见声音，却没有看见形象。
12The LORD spoke to you out of the middle of the fire: you heard the voice of words, but you saw no form; you only heard a voice.
13他将所吩咐你们当守的约指示你们，就是十条诫，并将这诫写在两块石版上。
13He declared to you his covenant, which he commanded you to perform, even the ten commandments. He wrote them on two stone tablets.
14那时耶和华又吩咐我将律例典章教训你们，使你们在所要过去得为业的地上遵行。」
14The LORD commanded me at that time to teach you statutes and ordinances, that you might do them in the land where you go over to possess it.
15「所以，你们要分外谨慎；因为耶和华在 何烈山 、从火中对你们说话的那日，你们没有看见什么形象。
15Be very careful, for you saw no kind of form on the day that the LORD spoke to you in Horeb out of the middle of the fire,
16惟恐你们败坏自己，雕刻偶像，仿佛什么男像女像，
16lest you corrupt yourselves, and make yourself a carved image in the form of any figure, the likeness of male or female,
17或地上走兽的像，或空中飞鸟的像，
17the likeness of any animal that is on the earth, the likeness of any winged bird that flies in the sky,
18或地上爬物的像，或地底下水中鱼的像。
18the likeness of anything that creeps on the ground, the likeness of any fish that is in the water under the earth;
19又恐怕你向天举目观看，见耶和华—你的 神为天下万民所摆列的日月星，就是天上的万象，自己便被勾引敬拜事奉它。
19and lest you lift up your eyes to the sky, and when you see the sun and the moon and the stars, even all the army of the sky, you are drawn away and worship them, and serve them, which the LORD your God has allotted to all the peoples under the whole sky.
20耶和华将你们从 埃及 领出来，脱离铁炉，要特作自己产业的子民，像今日一样。
20But the LORD has taken you, and brought you out of the iron furnace, out of Egypt, to be to him a people of inheritance, as it is today.
21耶和华又因你们的缘故向我发怒，起誓必不容我过 约旦河 ，也不容我进入耶和华—你 神所赐你为业的那美地。
21Furthermore the LORD was angry with me for your sakes, and swore that I should not go over the Jordan, and that I should not go in to that good land which the LORD your God gives you for an inheritance;
22我只得死在这地，不能过 约旦河 ；但你们必过去得那美地。
22but I must die in this land. I must not go over the Jordan, but you shall go over and possess that good land.
23你们要谨慎，免得忘记耶和华—你们 神与你们所立的约，为自己雕刻偶像，就是耶和华—你 神所禁止你做的偶像；
23Be careful, lest you forget the covenant of the LORD your God, which he made with you, and make yourselves a carved image in the form of anything which the LORD your God has forbidden you.
24因为耶和华—你的 神乃是烈火，是忌邪的 神。
24For the LORD your God is a devouring fire, a jealous God.
25「你们在那地住久了，生子生孙，就雕刻偶像，仿佛什么形象，败坏自己，行耶和华—你 神眼中看为恶的事，惹他发怒。
25When you father children and children’s children, and you have been long in the land, and then corrupt yourselves, and make a carved image in the form of anything, and do that which is evil in the LORD your God’s sight to provoke him to anger,
26我今日呼天唤地向你们作见证，你们必在过 约旦河 得为业的地上速速灭尽！你们不能在那地上长久，必尽行除灭。
26I call heaven and earth to witness against you today, that you will soon utterly perish from off the land which you go over the Jordan to possess it. You will not prolong your days on it, but will utterly be destroyed.
27耶和华必使你们分散在万民中；在他所领你们到的万国里，你们剩下的人数稀少。
27The LORD will scatter you among the peoples, and you will be left few in number among the nations where the LORD will lead you away.
28在那里，你们必事奉人手所造的神，就是用木石造成、不能看、不能听、不能吃、不能闻的神。
28There you will serve gods, the work of men’s hands, wood and stone, which neither see, nor hear, nor eat, nor smell.
29但你们在那里必寻求耶和华—你的 神。你尽心尽性寻求他的时候，就必寻见。
29But from there you shall seek the LORD your God, and you will find him when you search after him with all your heart and with all your soul.
30日后你遭遇一切患难的时候，你必归回耶和华—你的 神，听从他的话。
30When you are in oppression, and all these things have come on you, in the latter days you shall return to the LORD your God and listen to his voice.
31耶和华—你 神原是有怜悯的 神；他总不撇下你，不灭绝你，也不忘记他起誓与你列祖所立的约。
31For the LORD your God is a merciful God. He will not fail you nor destroy you, nor forget the covenant of your fathers which he swore to them.
32「你且考察在你以前的世代，自 神造人在世以来，从天这边到天那边，曾有何民听见 神在火中说话的声音，像你听见还能存活呢？这样的大事何曾有、何曾听见呢？
32For ask now of the days that are past, which were before you, since the day that God created man on the earth, and from the one end of the sky to the other, whether there has been anything as great as this thing is, or has been heard like it?

33Did a people ever hear the voice of God speaking out of the middle of the fire, as you have heard, and live?
34神何曾从别的国中将一国的人民领出来，用试验、神迹、奇事、争战、大能的手，和伸出来的膀臂，并大可畏的事，像耶和华—你们的 神在 埃及 ，在你们眼前为你们所行的一切事呢？
34Or has God tried to go and take a nation for himself from among another nation, by trials, by signs, by wonders, by war, by a mighty hand, by an outstretched arm, and by great terrors, according to all that the LORD your God did for you in Egypt before your eyes?
35这是显给你看，要使你知道，惟有耶和华—他是 神，除他以外，再无别神。
35It was shown to you so that you might know that the LORD is God. There is no one else besides him.
36他从天上使你听见他的声音，为要教训你，又在地上使你看见他的烈火，并且听见他从火中所说的话。
36Out of heaven he made you to hear his voice, that he might instruct you. On earth he made you to see his great fire; and you heard his words out of the middle of the fire.
37因他爱你的列祖，所以拣选他们的后裔，用大能亲自领你出了 埃及 ，
37Because he loved your fathers, therefore he chose their offspring after them, and brought you out with his presence, with his great power, out of Egypt;
38要将比你强大的国民从你面前赶出，领你进去，将他们的地赐你为业，像今日一样。
38to drive out nations from before you greater and mightier than you, to bring you in, to give you their land for an inheritance, as it is today.
39所以，今日你要知道，也要记在心上，天上地下惟有耶和华他是 神，除他以外，再无别神。
39Know therefore today, and take it to heart, that the LORD himself is God in heaven above and on the earth beneath. There is no one else.
40我今日将他的律例诫命晓谕你，你要遵守，使你和你的子孙可以得福，并使你的日子在耶和华—你 神所赐的地上得以长久。」
40You shall keep his statutes and his commandments which I command you today, that it may go well with you and with your children after you, and that you may prolong your days in the land which the LORD your God gives you for all time.
41「那时， 摩西 在 约旦河 东，向日出之地，分定三座城，
41Then Moses set apart three cities beyond the Jordan toward the sunrise,
42使那素无仇恨、无心杀了人的，可以逃到这三城之中的一座城，就得存活：
42that the man slayer might flee there, who kills his neighbor unintentionally and didn’t hate him in time past, and that fleeing to one of these cities he might live:
43为 吕便 人分定旷野平原的 比悉 ；为 迦得 人分定 基列 的 拉末 ；为 玛拿西 人分定 巴珊 的 哥兰 。」
43Bezer in the wilderness, in the plain country, for the Reubenites; and Ramoth in Gilead for the Gadites; and Golan in Bashan for the Manassites.
44摩西 在 以色列 人面前所陈明的律法—
44This is the law which Moses set before the children of Israel.
45就是 摩西 在 以色列 人出 埃及 后所传给他们的法度、律例、典章；
45These are the testimonies, and the statutes, and the ordinances which Moses spoke to the children of Israel when they came out of Egypt,
46在 约旦河 东 伯·毗珥 对面的谷中，在住 希实本 、 亚摩利 王 西宏 之地；这 西宏 是 摩西 和 以色列 人出 埃及 后所击杀的。
46beyond the Jordan, in the valley opposite Beth Peor, in the land of Sihon king of the Amorites, who lived at Heshbon, whom Moses and the children of Israel struck when they came out of Egypt.
47他们得了他的地，又得了 巴珊 王 噩 的地，就是两个 亚摩利 王，在 约旦河 东向日出之地。
47They took possession of his land and the land of Og king of Bashan, the two kings of the Amorites, who were beyond the Jordan toward the sunrise;
48从 亚嫩谷 边的 亚罗珥 ，直到 西云山 ，就是 黑门山 。
48from Aroer, which is on the edge of the valley of the Arnon, even to Mount Siyon (also called Hermon),
49还有 约旦河 东的全 亚拉巴 ，直到 亚拉巴海 ，靠近 毗斯迦山 根。
49and all the Arabah beyond the Jordan eastward, even to the sea of the Arabah, under the slopes of Pisgah.
