1大卫 在 大卫城 为自己建造宫殿，又为 神的 约 柜预备地方，支搭帐幕。
1David made himself houses in David’s city; and he prepared a place for God’s ark, and pitched a tent for it.
2那时 大卫 说：「除了 利未 人之外，无人可抬 神的 约 柜；因为耶和华拣选他们抬 神的 约 柜，且永远事奉他。」
2Then David said, “No one ought to carry God’s ark but the Levites. For the LORD has chosen them to carry God’s ark, and to minister to him forever.”
3大卫 招聚 以色列 众人到 耶路撒冷 ，要将耶和华的 约 柜抬到他所预备的地方。
3David assembled all Israel at Jerusalem, to bring up the LORD’s ark to its place, which he had prepared for it.
4大卫 又聚集 亚伦 的子孙和 利未 人。
4David gathered together the sons of Aaron and the Levites:
5哥辖 子孙中有族长 乌列 和他的弟兄一百二十人。
5of the sons of Kohath, Uriel the chief, and his brothers one hundred twenty;
6米拉利 子孙中有族长 亚帅雅 和他的弟兄二百二十人。
6of the sons of Merari, Asaiah the chief, and his brothers two hundred twenty;
7革顺 子孙中有族长 约珥 和他的弟兄一百三十人。
7of the sons of Gershom, Joel the chief, and his brothers one hundred thirty;
8以利撒反 子孙中有族长 示玛雅 和他的弟兄二百人。
8of the sons of Elizaphan, Shemaiah the chief, and his brothers two hundred;
9希伯 子孙中有族长 以列 和他的弟兄八十人。
9of the sons of Hebron, Eliel the chief, and his brothers eighty;

11大卫 将祭司 撒督 和 亚比亚他 ，并 利未 人 乌列 、 亚帅雅 、 约珥 、 示玛雅 、 以列 、 亚米拿达 召来，
11David called for Zadok and Abiathar the priests, and for the Levites: for Uriel, Asaiah, Joel, Shemaiah, Eliel, and Amminadab,
12对他们说：「你们是 利未 人的族长，你们和你们的弟兄应当自洁，好将耶和华— 以色列 神的 约 柜抬到我所预备的地方。
12and said to them, “You are the heads of the fathers’ households of the Levites. Sanctify yourselves, both you and your brothers, that you may bring the ark of the LORD, the God of Israel, up to the place that I have prepared for it.
13因你们先前没有 抬这约柜 ，按定例求问耶和华—我们的 神，所以他刑罚我们。」
13For because you didn’t carry it at first, the LORD our God broke out in anger against us, because we didn’t seek him according to the ordinance.”
14于是祭司 利未 人自洁，好将耶和华— 以色列 神的 约 柜抬上来。
14So the priests and the Levites sanctified themselves to bring up the ark of the LORD, the God of Israel.
15利未 子孙就用杠，肩抬 神的 约 柜，是照耶和华借 摩西 所吩咐的。
15The children of the Levites bore God’s ark on their shoulders with its poles, as Moses commanded according to the LORD’s word.
16大卫 吩咐 利未 人的族长，派他们歌唱的弟兄用琴瑟和钹作乐，欢欢喜喜地大声歌颂。
16David spoke to the chief of the Levites to appoint their brothers as singers with instruments of music, stringed instruments, harps, and cymbals, sounding aloud and lifting up their voices with joy.
17于是 利未 人派 约珥 的儿子 希幔 和他弟兄中 比利家 的儿子 亚萨 ，并他们族弟兄 米拉利 子孙里 古沙雅 的儿子 以探 。
17So the Levites appointed Heman the son of Joel; and of his brothers, Asaph the son of Berechiah; and of the sons of Merari their brothers, Ethan the son of Kushaiah;
18其次还有他们的弟兄 撒迦利雅 、 便雅薛 、 示米拉末 、 耶歇 、 乌尼 、 以利押 、 比拿雅 、 玛西雅 、 玛他提雅 、 以利斐利户 、 弥克尼雅 ，并守门的 俄别·以东 和 耶利 。
18and with them their brothers of the second rank: Zechariah, Ben, Jaaziel, Shemiramoth, Jehiel, Unni, Eliab, Benaiah, Maaseiah, Mattithiah, Eliphelehu, Mikneiah, Obed-Edom, and Jeiel, the doorkeepers.
19这样，派歌唱的 希幔 、 亚萨 、 以探 敲铜钹，大发响声；
19So the singers, Heman, Asaph, and Ethan, were given cymbals of bronze to sound aloud;
20派 撒迦利雅 、 雅薛 、 示米拉末 、 耶歇 、 乌尼 、 以利押 、 玛西雅 、 比拿雅 鼓瑟，调用女音；
20and Zechariah, Aziel, Shemiramoth, Jehiel, Unni, Eliab, Maaseiah, and Benaiah, with stringed instruments set to Alamoth;
21又派 玛他提雅 、 以利斐利户 、 弥克尼雅 、 俄别·以东 、 耶利 、 亚撒西雅 领首弹琴，调用第八。
21and Mattithiah, Eliphelehu, Mikneiah, Obed-Edom, Jeiel, and Azaziah, with harps tuned to the eight-stringed lyre, to lead.
22利未 人的族长 基拿尼雅 是歌唱人的首领，又教训人歌唱，因为他精通此事。
22Chenaniah, chief of the Levites, was over the singing. He taught the singers, because he was skillful.
23比利家 、 以利加拿 是 约 柜前守门的。
23Berechiah and Elkanah were doorkeepers for the ark.
24祭司 示巴尼 、 约沙法 、 拿坦业 、 亚玛赛 、 撒迦利雅 、 比拿亚 、 以利以谢 在 神的 约 柜前吹号。 俄别·以东 和 耶希亚 也是 约 柜前守门的。
24Shebaniah, Joshaphat, Nethanel, Amasai, Zechariah, Benaiah, and Eliezer, the priests, blew the trumpets before God’s ark; and Obed-Edom and Jehiah were doorkeepers for the ark.
25于是， 大卫 和 以色列 的长老，并千夫长都去从 俄别·以东 的家欢欢喜喜地将耶和华的约柜抬上来。
25So David, the elders of Israel, and the captains over thousands went to bring the ark of the LORD’s covenant up out of the house of Obed-Edom with joy.
26神赐恩与抬耶和华约柜的 利未 人，他们就献上七只公牛，七只公羊。
26When God helped the Levites who bore the ark of the LORD’s covenant, they sacrificed seven bulls and seven rams.
27大卫 和抬 约 柜的 利未 人，并歌唱人的首领 基拿尼雅 ，以及歌唱的人，都穿着细麻布的外袍； 大卫 另外穿着细麻布的以弗得。
27David was clothed with a robe of fine linen, as were all the Levites who bore the ark, the singers, and Chenaniah the choir master with the singers; and David had an ephod of linen on him.
28这样， 以色列 众人欢呼吹角、吹号、敲钹、鼓瑟、弹琴，大发响声，将耶和华的约柜抬上来。
28Thus all Israel brought the ark of the LORD’s covenant up with shouting, with sound of the cornet, with trumpets, and with cymbals, sounding aloud with stringed instruments and harps.
29耶和华的约柜进了 大卫城 的时候， 扫罗 的女儿 米甲 从窗户里观看，见 大卫 王踊跃跳舞，心里就轻视他。
29As the ark of the LORD’s covenant came to David’s city, Michal the daughter of Saul looked out at the window, and saw king David dancing and playing; and she despised him in her heart.
