Berean Standard Bible
Clementine Vulgate, 1598
1Ascribe to the LORD, O heavenly beings, ascribe to the LORD glory and strength.
1Psalmus cantici, in dedicatione domus David.
2Ascribe to the LORD the glory due His name; worship the LORD in the splendor of His holiness.
2[Exaltabo te, Domine, quoniam suscepisti me, nec delectasti inimicos meos super me.
3The voice of the LORD is over the waters; the God of glory thunders; the LORD is heard over many waters.
3Domine Deus meus, clamavi ad te, et sanasti me.
4The voice of the LORD is powerful; the voice of the LORD is majestic.
4Domine, eduxisti ab inferno animam meam; salvasti me a descendentibus in lacum.
5The voice of the LORD breaks the cedars; the LORD shatters the cedars of Lebanon.
5Psallite Domino, sancti ejus; et confitemini memoriæ sanctitatis ejus.
6He makes Lebanon skip like a calf, and Sirion like a young wild ox.
6Quoniam ira in indignatione ejus, et vita in voluntate ejus: ad vesperum demorabitur fletus, et ad matutinum lætitia.
7The voice of the LORD strikes with flames of fire.
7Ego autem dixi in abundantia mea: Non movebor in æternum.
8The voice of the LORD shakes the wilderness; the LORD shakes the Wilderness of Kadesh.
8Domine, in voluntate tua præstitisti decori meo virtutem; avertisti faciem tuam a me, et factus sum conturbatus.
9The voice of the LORD twists the oaks and strips the forests bare. And in His temple all cry, “Glory!”
9Ad te, Domine, clamabo, et ad Deum meum deprecabor.
10The LORD sits enthroned over the flood; the LORD is enthroned as King forever.
10Quæ utilitas in sanguine meo, dum descendo in corruptionem? numquid confitebitur tibi pulvis, aut annuntiabit veritatem tuam?
11The LORD gives His people strength; the LORD blesses His people with peace.
11Audivit Dominus, et misertus est mei; Dominus factus est adjutor meus.
