Matthew 15

Berean Standard Bible
Testamenta Marra (Dieri New Testament)
1Then some Pharisees and scribes came to Jesus from Jerusalem and asked,
1Ngadani Pharisaia ja jaura jinkinietja Jerusalemingundru Jesungu wokarana wonti ja jatana wonti:
2“Why do Your disciples break the tradition of the elders? They do not wash their hands before they eat.”
2„Minandru milieli jinkanali pinaraia jirijiribani jaura dankarai? Ngangau tanali mara wata kulirkateriai buka tajila.“
3Jesus replied, “And why do you break the command of God for the sake of your tradition?
3Nulu kalabana wonti ja tanangu jatana wonti: „Minandru jura Godaia jirijiribani jaura dankarai jurani jirijiribani jaurandru?“
4For God said, ‘Honor your father and mother’ and ‘Anyone who curses his father or mother must be put to death.’
4Ngangau Godali jirijiribana wonti ja jatana wonti: „Ngaperi ja ngandri pirna ngundramai!“ ja: „Warle ngaperani ja ngandrini jaura madlentji jatai, nau naria palinanto.“
5But you say that if anyone says to his father or mother, ‘Whatever you would have received from me is a gift devoted to God,’
5Ja jura jatai: „Worana npaperani kara ngandrini kara jatai: Poto ngumu ngato jinkiai, mina jinkangu ngumu nganai, nina jundru ngakangundru maninanto; ja nulu ngaperi nunkani kara, ngandri nunkani kara, wata pirna ngundrananto.“
6he need not honor his father or mother with it. Thus you nullify the word of God for the sake of your tradition.
6Ja jura Godaia jirijiribani jaura worana warai jurani jirijiribani jaurandru.
7You hypocrites! Isaiah prophesied correctly about you:
7Jura kana jeljujelju, ngumu Jesaiasali jurangundru talpadakana wonti ja jatana wonti:
8‘These people honor Me with their lips, but their hearts are far from Me.
8„Tanapini kana wolara manali ngakangu wokarai ja manamimieli ngana pirna ngundrai, ja tanani ngara ngakangu worita nganai.
9They worship Me in vain; they teach as doctrine the precepts of men.’”
9Bakujeli tanali ngana pirna ngundrai; ngangau tanali kanaia jirijiribani jaurandru ngujangujara jinkiai.“
10Jesus called the crowd to Him and said, “Listen and understand.
10Ja Nulu kana wolara karkana wonti ja tanangu jatana wonti: „Ngaranimai, ja ngundranimai!
11A man is not defiled by what enters his mouth, but by what comes out of it.”
11Wata jendralipara, mina manani wiriai, kana murumaru ngankai; a‐ai, windri jendralipara, mina manandra dunkai, nulupini kana murumuru ngankai.“
12Then the disciples came to Him and said, “Are You aware that the Pharisees were offended when they heard this?”
12Jendranguta mili nunkani wokarana wonti ja nunkangu jatana wonti: „Jidni milkila, Pharisaiali ninaia jaura matja ngarana, tana kalakalarina warai?“
13But Jesus replied, “Every plant that My heavenly Father has not planted will be pulled up by its roots.
13Nulu kalabana wonti ja jatana wonti: „Nindri pratjana, tananapini Ngaperali ngakanali pariwilpani wata kuranala, tanana tanali dukarala nganai.
14Disregard them! They are blind guides. If a blind man leads a blind man, both will fall into a pit.”
14Tana worani; ngangau tana butjuja palto wondranietja ja munta butju nganai; butjujeli butjuni palto wondranani, pudla kutuni purila nganai.“
15Peter said to Him, “Explain this parable to us.”
15Petrujeli kalabana wonti ja nunkangu jatana wonti: „Ninapini jeribaka jaura ngaianingu mildiri ngankamai.“
16“Do you still not understand?” Jesus asked.
16Jesus jatana wonti: „Bakana jura patipati nganai?
17“Do you not yet realize that whatever enters the mouth goes into the stomach and then is eliminated?
17Jura wata ngujamai, jenipara pratjana, mina manani wiriai, mandrani ngariai, ja ngadani palkingai?
18But the things that come out of the mouth come from the heart, and these things defile a man.
18Jenipara, mina manandru dunkai, ngarandru wokarai; ja jendralipara kana murumuru ngankai.
19For out of the heart come evil thoughts, murder, adultery, sexual immorality, theft, false testimony, and slander.
19Ngangau ngarandru dunkai, ngundrana madlentji, naria nandrani, pinta wokaribana, palakantji, kurikantji, jedieli jaura morlalu kurani, ngirkibani.
20These are what defile a man, but eating with unwashed hands does not defile him.”
20Tanalipini kana murumuru ngankai; mara murumurujeli tajina wata kana murumuru ngankai.“ (Ngantjani‐jaura G. D. Reminiscere.)
21Leaving that place, Jesus withdrew to the district of Tyre and Sidon.
21Ja Jesus nakandru wapana wonti ja kutingana wonti Tyrus ja Sidon mitaia.
22And a Canaanite woman from that region came to Him, crying out, “Lord, Son of David, have mercy on me! My daughter is miserably possessed by a demon.”
22Ja mai, Canaan widla kulno nunkangupini wondirandru dunkana wonti ja maritjina wonti ja nunkangu jatana wonti: „Kaparajai, Davidani ngatamurajai! ngakangu kalumiltjamiltjariau; ngatani ngakani kutjieli pirna jupai.“
23But Jesus did not answer a word. So His disciples came and urged Him, “Send her away, for she keeps crying out after us.”
23Ja Nulu wata jaura kulno kalabana wonti nankangu. Ja mili nunkani nunkangu wokarana wonti ja nunkangu ngatjina wonti ja jatana wonti: „Nanaia jinpamai: ngangau nania ngaianangu maritjina karipateriai.“
24He answered, “I was sent only to the lost sheep of the house of Israel.”
24Ja Nulu kalabana wonti ja jatana wonti: „Ngapili ngana jinpana wonti windri tanangupini tjipia, tana Israel pungandru tintaterinala.“
25The woman came and knelt before Him. “Lord, help me!” she said.
25Ja nani wokarana wonti ja nunkangu pantjaterkana ngarina wonti ja jatana wonti: „Kaparajai, ngakangu marangokau!“
26But Jesus replied, “It is not right to take the children’s bread and toss it to the dogs.”
26Ja Nulu kalabana wonti ja jatana wonti: „Wata jenia talku nganai, kupaia buka manina ja kintalani worana.“
27“Yes, Lord,” she said, “even the dogs eat the crumbs that fall from their master’s table.”
27Nani jatana wonti: „Kau, Kaparajai; ja bakana kintalali buka worduwordu tajiai, kapara worani kurlindru purinani.“
28“O woman,” Jesus answered, “your faith is great! Let it be done for you as you desire.” And her daughter was healed from that very hour.
28Jendranguta Jesujeli kalabana wonti ja nankangu jatana wonti: „Widlajai, morlalu ngundrana jinkani pirna nganai; mina jidni jertapateriai, jenia jinkangu pantjiatimai.“ Ja ngatani nankani tepirina wonti nunkangupini ditjini.
29Moving on from there, Jesus went along the Sea of Galilee. Then He went up on a mountain and sat down.
29Ja Jesus nakandru wapana wonti ja Galilaia pantuni wokarana wonti ja mardawonpani tarana wonti ja naka ngamana ngarina wonti.
30Large crowds came to Him, bringing the lame, the blind, the crippled, the mute, and many others, and laid them at His feet, and He healed them.
30Ja kana wolara pirna nunkangu wokarana wonti, tanali padakana wonti tjunduru, butju, ngapu, dupudupu ja nguja marapu; ja tanali tanana Jesungu tidnani worana ngarina wonti, ja Nulu tanana tepi ngankana wonti.
31The crowd was amazed when they saw the mute speaking, the crippled restored, the lame walking, and the blind seeing. And they glorified the God of Israel.
31Jeruja kana wolara pirna ngaruparana wonti, ngangau tanali najina wonti, ngapula jatanani, dupudupula tepi, tjundurula wapanani ja butjulali najinani; ja tanali Israelani Goda jurakokana wonti.
32Then Jesus called His disciples to Him and said, “I have compassion for this crowd, because they have already been with Me three days and have nothing to eat. I do not want to send them away hungry, or they may faint along the way.”
32Jesujeli mili nunkani karkana wonti ja jatana wonti: „Ngani kana wolarani kalumiltjamiltjariai, ngangau ditji parkulu tanaia ngakangunto ngamana warai, ja tanalia panila ngamalkai tajila; ja ngato wata ngantjai, tananaia maua jinpala, tanaia paltuni wariwariati.“
33The disciples replied, “Where in this desolate place could we find enough bread to feed such a large crowd?”
33Ja mili nunkani nunkangu jatana wonti: „Wodajerindru ngaiani pitarani jeruntja buka maninanto, tananapini kana wolara jerto ngankala?“
34“How many loaves do you have?” Jesus asked. “Seven,” they replied, “and a few small fish.”
34Ja Jesus tanangu jatana wonti: „Worderuntja buka ngunku jura ngamalkai?“ Tana jatana wonti: „Mara wora ja mandrumata ja paru wakawaka ngalje.“
35And He instructed the crowd to sit down on the ground.
35Ja Nulu kana wolarani jirijiribana wonti, tana mitani ngamana ngarinanto.
36Taking the seven loaves and the fish, He gave thanks and broke them. Then He gave them to the disciples, and the disciples gave them to the people.
36Ja Nulu buka ngunku mara wora ja mandru ja paru patana wonti, ja Nulu tanana ngurungutana wonti ja wokaribana wonti ja milini nunkanani jinkina wonti, ja milieli kana wolarani.
37They all ate and were satisfied, and the disciples picked up seven basketfuls of broken pieces that were left over.
37Ja pratjanali tajina wonti ja jerturina wonti, ja tanali buku worduwordu kampana wonti billi mara wora ja mandru manamiri.
38A total of four thousand men were fed, in addition to women and children.

39After Jesus had dismissed the crowds, He got into the boat and went to the region of Magadan.
