1And calling His twelve disciples to Him, Jesus gave them authority over unclean spirits, so that they could drive them out and heal every disease and sickness.
1耶穌叫了十二個門徒來，給他們權柄，能趕逐污鬼，並醫治各樣的病症。
2These are the names of the twelve apostles: first Simon, called Peter, and his brother Andrew; James son of Zebedee, and his brother John;
2這十二使徒的名：頭一個叫 西門 （又稱 彼得 ），還有他兄弟 安得烈 ， 西庇太 的兒子 雅各 和 雅各 的兄弟 約翰 ，
3Philip and Bartholomew; Thomas and Matthew the tax collector; James son of Alphaeus, and Thaddaeus;
3腓力 和 巴多羅買 ， 多馬 和稅吏 馬太 ， 亞勒腓 的兒子 雅各 ，和 達太 ，
4Simon the Zealot, and Judas Iscariot, who betrayed Jesus.

5These twelve Jesus sent out with the following instructions: “Do not go onto the road of the Gentiles or enter any town of the Samaritans.
5耶穌差這十二個人去，吩咐他們說：「外邦人的路，你們不要走； 撒馬利亞 人的城，你們不要進；
6Go rather to the lost sheep of Israel.
6寧可往 以色列 家迷失的羊那裏去。
7As you go, preach this message: ‘The kingdom of heaven is near.’
7隨走隨傳，說『天國近了！』
8Heal the sick, raise the dead, cleanse the lepers, drive out demons. Freely you have received; freely give.
8醫治病人，叫死人復活，叫長大痲瘋的潔淨，把鬼趕出去。你們白白地得來，也要白白地捨去。
9Do not carry any gold or silver or copper in your belts.
9腰袋裏不要帶金銀銅錢；
10Take no bag for the road, or second tunic, or sandals, or staff; for the worker is worthy of his provisions.
10行路不要帶口袋；不要帶兩件褂子，也不要帶鞋和柺杖。因為工人得飲食是應當的。
11Whatever town or village you enter, find out who is worthy there and stay at his house until you move on.
11你們無論進哪一城，哪一村，要打聽那裏誰是好人，就住在他家，直住到走的時候。
12As you enter the home, greet its occupants.
12進他家裏去，要請他的安。
13If the home is worthy, let your peace rest on it; but if it is not, let your peace return to you.
13那家若配得平安，你們所求的平安就必臨到那家；若不配得，你們所求的平安仍歸你們。
14And if anyone will not welcome you or heed your words, shake the dust off your feet when you leave that home or town.
14凡不接待你們、不聽你們話的人，你們離開那家，或是那城的時候，就把腳上的塵土跺下去。
15Truly I tell you, it will be more bearable for Sodom and Gomorrah on the day of judgment than for that town.
15我實在告訴你們，當審判的日子， 所多瑪 和 蛾摩拉 所受的，比那城還容易受呢！」
16Behold, I am sending you out like sheep among wolves; therefore be as shrewd as snakes and as innocent as doves.
16「我差你們去，如同羊進入狼群；所以你們要靈巧像蛇，馴良像鴿子。
17But beware of men; for they will hand you over to their councils and flog you in their synagogues.
17你們要防備人；因為他們要把你們交給公會 ，也要在會堂裏鞭打你們，
18On My account, you will be brought before governors and kings as witnesses to them and to the Gentiles.
18並且你們要為我的緣故被送到諸侯君王面前，對他們和外邦人作見證。
19But when they hand you over, do not worry about how to respond or what to say. In that hour you will be given what to say.
19你們被交的時候，不要思慮怎樣說話，或說甚麼話。到那時候，必賜給你們當說的話；
20For it will not be you speaking, but the Spirit of your Father speaking through you.
20因為不是你們自己說的，乃是你們父的靈在你們裏頭說的。
21Brother will betray brother to death, and a father his child; children will rise against their parents and have them put to death.
21弟兄要把弟兄，父親要把兒子，送到死地；兒女要與父母為敵，害死他們；
22You will be hated by everyone because of My name, but the one who perseveres to the end will be saved.
22並且你們要為我的名被眾人恨惡。惟有忍耐到底的必然得救。
23When they persecute you in one town, flee to the next. Truly I tell you, you will not reach all the towns of Israel before the Son of Man comes.
23有人在這城裏逼迫你們，就逃到那城裏去。我實在告訴你們， 以色列 的城邑，你們還沒有走遍，人子就到了。
24A disciple is not above his teacher, nor a servant above his master.
24學生不能高過先生；僕人不能高過主人。
25It is enough for a disciple to be like his teacher, and a servant like his master. If the head of the house has been called Beelzebul, how much more the members of his household!
25學生和先生一樣，僕人和主人一樣，也就罷了。人既罵家主是別西卜，何況他的家人呢？」
26So do not be afraid of them. For there is nothing concealed that will not be disclosed, and nothing hidden that will not be made known.
26「所以，不要怕他們；因為掩蓋的事沒有不露出來的，隱藏的事沒有不被人知道的。
27What I tell you in the dark, speak in the daylight; what is whispered in your ear, proclaim from the housetops.
27我在暗中告訴你們的，你們要在明處說出來；你們耳中所聽的，要在房上宣揚出來。
28Do not be afraid of those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul. Instead, fear the One who can destroy both soul and body in hell.
28那殺身體、不能殺靈魂的，不要怕他們；惟有能把身體和靈魂都滅在地獄裏的，正要怕他。
29Are not two sparrows sold for a penny? Yet not one of them will fall to the ground apart from the will of your Father.
29兩個麻雀不是賣一分銀子嗎？若是你們的父不許，一個也不能掉在地上；
30And even the very hairs of your head are all numbered.
30就是你們的頭髮也都被數過了。
31So do not be afraid; you are worth more than many sparrows.
31所以，不要懼怕，你們比許多麻雀還貴重！」
32Therefore everyone who confesses Me before men, I will also confess him before My Father in heaven.
32「凡在人面前認我的，我在我天上的父面前也必認他；
33But whoever denies Me before men, I will also deny him before My Father in heaven.
33凡在人面前不認我的，我在我天上的父面前也必不認他。」
34Do not assume that I have come to bring peace to the earth; I have not come to bring peace, but a sword.
34「你們不要想我來是叫地上太平；我來並不是叫地上太平，乃是叫地上動刀兵。
35For I have come to turn ‘a man against his father, a daughter against her mother, a daughter-in-law against her mother-in-law.
35因為我來是叫 人與父親生疏， 女兒與母親生疏， 媳婦與婆婆生疏。
36A man’s enemies will be the members of his own household.’
36人的仇敵就是自己家裏的人。
37Anyone who loves his father or mother more than Me is not worthy of Me; anyone who loves his son or daughter more than Me is not worthy of Me;
37「愛父母過於愛我的，不配作我的門徒；愛兒女過於愛我的，不配作我的門徒；
38and anyone who does not take up his cross and follow Me is not worthy of Me.
38不背着他的十字架跟從我的，也不配作我的門徒。
39Whoever finds his life will lose it, and whoever loses his life for My sake will find it.
39得着生命的，將要失喪生命；為我失喪生命的，將要得着生命。」
40He who receives you receives Me, and he who receives Me receives the One who sent Me.
40「人接待你們就是接待我；接待我就是接待那差我來的。
41Whoever receives a prophet because he is a prophet will receive a prophet’s reward, and whoever receives a righteous man because he is a righteous man will receive a righteous man’s reward.
41人因為先知的名接待先知，必得先知所得的賞賜；人因為義人的名接待義人，必得義人所得的賞賜。
42And if anyone gives even a cup of cold water to one of these little ones because he is My disciple, truly I tell you, he will never lose his reward.”
42無論何人，因為門徒的名，只把一杯涼水給這小子裏的一個喝，我實在告訴你們，這人不能不得賞賜。」
