Galatians 1

Berean Standard Bible
Coptic New Testament
1Paul, an apostle—sent not from men nor by man, but by Jesus Christ and God the Father, who raised Him from the dead—
1ⲡⲁⲩⲗⲟⲥ ⳿ⲡⲁⲡⲟⲥⲧⲟⲗⲟⲥ ⳿ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ϧⲉⲛ ⲣⲱⲙⲓ ⲁⲛ ⲟⲩⲇⲉ ⳿ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ϩⲓⲧⲉⲛ ⲣⲱⲙⲓ ⲁⲛ ⲁⲗⲗⲁ ⳿ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ϩⲓⲧⲉⲛ Ⲓⲏ̅ⲥ̅ Ⲡⲭ̅ⲥ̅ ⲛⲉⲙ ⲫϯ ⳿ⲫⲓⲱⲧ ⲫⲁⲓ ⲉⲧⲁϥⲧⲟⲩⲛⲟⲥϥ ⳿ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ϧⲉⲛ ⲛⲏⲉⲑⲙⲱⲟⲩⲧ.
2and all the brothers with me, To the churches of Galatia:
2ⲛⲉⲙ ⲛⲓ⳿ⲥⲛⲏⲟⲩ ⲧⲏⲣⲟⲩ ⲉⲑⲛⲉⲙⲏⲓ ⳿ⲛⲛⲓⲉⲕ⳿ⲕⲗⲏ ⲥⲓⲁ ⳿ⲛⲧⲉ ⳿ⲧⲅⲁⲗⲁⲧⲓⲁ.
3Grace and peace to you from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ,
3⳿ⲡ⳿ϩⲙⲟⲧ ⲛⲱⲧⲉⲛ ⲛⲉⲙ ⳿ⲧϩⲓⲣⲏⲛⲏ ⳿ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ϩⲓⲧⲉⲛ ⲫϯ ⲡⲉⲛⲓⲱⲧ ⲛⲉⲙ ⲡⲉⲛ⳪ Ⲓⲏ̅ⲥ̅ Ⲡⲭ̅ⲥ̅.
4who gave Himself for our sins to rescue us from the present evil age, according to the will of our God and Father,
4ⲫⲁⲓ ⲉⲧⲁϥⲧⲏⲓϥ ⳿ⲉ⳿ϩⲣⲏⲓ ⳿ⲉϫⲉⲛ ⲛⲉⲛⲛⲟⲃⲓ ϣⲁⲧⲉϥⲛⲁϩⲙⲉⲛ ⳿ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ϧⲉⲛ ⲡⲁⲓⲉⲛⲉϩ ⲉⲧϩⲱⲟⲩ ⲉⲧϣⲟⲡ ⲕⲁⲧⲁ ⲡⲉⲧⲉϩⲛⲁϥ ⳿ⲙⲫϯ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⳿ⲫⲓⲱⲧ.
5to whom be glory forever and ever. Amen.
5ⲫⲏⲉⲧⲉ ⲫⲱϥ ⲡⲉ ⲡⲓⲱⲟⲩ ϣⲁ ⲉⲛⲉϩ ⳿ⲛⲧⲉ ⲛⲓⲉⲛⲉϩ ⲁⲙⲏⲛ.
6I am amazed how quickly you are deserting the One who called you by the grace of Christ and are turning to a different gospel—
6ϯⲉⲣ⳿ϣⲫⲏⲣⲓ ϫⲉ ⲡⲁⲓⲣⲏϯ ⳿ⲛⲭⲱⲗⲉⲙ ⲥⲉⲟⲩⲱⲧⲉⲃ ⳿ⲙⲙⲱⲧⲉⲛ ⳿ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ⲥⲁⲃⲟⲗ ⳿ⲙⲫⲏⲉⲧⲁϥⲑⲁϩⲉⲙ ⲑⲏⲛⲟⲩ ϧⲉⲛ ⳿ⲡ⳿ϩⲙⲟⲧ ⳿ⲙⲠⲭ̅ⲥ̅ ⳿ⲉⲕⲉⲉⲩⲁⲅⲅⲉⲗⲓⲟⲛ.
7which is not even a gospel. Evidently some people are troubling you and trying to distort the gospel of Christ.
7ⲉⲧⲉ ⲕⲉⲟⲩⲁⲓ ⲁⲛ ⲡⲉ ⳿ⲉⲃⲏⲗ ⲁⲣⲏⲟⲩ ϫⲉ ⲟⲩⲟⲛ ϩⲁⲛⲟⲩⲟⲛ ⲉⲩ⳿ϣⲑⲟⲣⲧⲉⲣ ⳿ⲙⲙⲱⲧⲉⲛ ⲉⲩⲟⲩⲱϣ ⳿ⲉⲫⲉⲛϩ ⲡⲓⲉⲩⲁⲅⲅⲉⲗⲓⲟⲛ ⳿ⲛⲧⲉ Ⲡⲭ̅ⲥ̅.
8But even if we or an angel from heaven should preach a gospel contrary to the one we preached to you, let him be under a curse!
8ⲁⲗⲗⲁ ⲕⲁⲛ ⳿ⲁⲛⲟⲛ ⲓⲉ ⲟⲩⲁⲅⲅⲉⲗⲟⲥ ⳿ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ϧⲉⲛ ⳿ⲧⲫⲉ ⳿ⲛⲧⲉϥϩⲓϣⲉⲛⲛⲟⲩϥⲓ ⲛⲱⲧⲉⲛ ⲥⲁⲃⲟⲗ ⳿ⲙⲫⲏⲉⲧⲁⲛϩⲓϣⲉⲛⲛⲟⲩϥⲓ ⳿ⲙⲙⲟϥ ⲛⲱⲧⲉⲛ ⲙⲁⲣⲉϥϣⲱⲡⲓ ⳿ⲛⲟⲩⲁⲛⲁⲑⲉⲙⲁ.
9As we have said before, so now I say again: If anyone is preaching to you a gospel contrary to the one you received, let him be under a curse!
9⳿ⲙ⳿ⲫⲣⲏϯ ⲉⲧⲁⲛⲉⲣϣⲟⲣⲡ ⳿ⲛϫⲟⲥ ⲛⲉⲙ ϯ ⲛⲟⲩ ⲟⲛ ϯϫⲱ ⳿ⲙⲙⲟⲥ ϫⲉ ⲫⲏⲉⲑⲛⲁϩⲓϣⲉⲛⲛⲟⲩϥⲓ ⲛⲱⲧⲉⲛ ⲥⲁⲃⲟⲗ ⳿ⲙⲫⲏⲉⲧⲁⲣⲉⲧⲉⲛϭⲓⲧϥ ⲙⲁⲣⲉϥϣⲱⲡⲓ ⳿ⲛⲟⲩⲁⲛⲁⲑⲉⲙⲁ.
10Am I now seeking the approval of men, or of God? Or am I striving to please men? If I were still trying to please men, I would not be a servant of Christ.
10ϯⲛⲟⲩ ⲅⲁⲣ ⲁⲓⲑⲱⲧ ⳿ⲙ⳿ⲡϩⲏⲧ ⳿ⲛⲛⲓⲣⲱⲙⲓ ϣⲁⲛ ⲫϯ ϣⲁⲛ ⲁⲓⲕⲱϯ ⳿ⲛⲥⲁ ⲣⲁⲛⲁϥ ⳿ⲛⲣⲱⲙⲓ ⲓⲥϫⲉ ⲛⲁⲓⲣⲁⲛⲁϥ ⳿ⲛⲣⲱⲙⲓ ⲟⲛ ⲓⲉ ⳿ⲁⲛⲟⲕ ⲟⲩⲃⲱⲕ ⲁⲛ ϫⲉ ⳿ⲛⲧⲉ Ⲡⲭ̅ⲥ̅.
11For I certify to you, brothers, that the gospel I preached was not devised by man.
11ϯⲧⲁⲙⲟ ⲇⲉ ⳿ⲙⲙⲱⲧⲉⲛ ⲛⲁ⳿ⲥⲛⲏⲟⲩ ⳿ⲉⲡⲓⲉⲩⲁⲅⲅⲉⲗⲓⲟⲛ ⲫⲏⲉⲧⲁⲩϩⲓϣⲉⲛⲛⲟⲩϥⲓ ⳿ⲙⲙⲟϥ ⳿ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ϩⲓⲧⲟⲧ ϫⲉ ⳿ⲛⲟⲩⲕⲁⲧⲁ ⲣⲱⲙⲓ ⲁⲛ ⲡⲉ.
12I did not receive it from any man, nor was I taught it; rather, I received it by revelation from Jesus Christ.
12ⲟⲩⲇⲉ ⲅⲁⲣ ⳿ⲁⲛⲟⲕ ⲉⲧⲁⲓϭⲓⲧϥ ⳿ⲛⲧⲉⲛ ⲣⲱⲙⲓ ⲁⲛ ⲟⲩⲇⲉ ⲛⲉⲧⲁⲩϯ⳿ⲥⲃⲱ ⲛⲏⲓ ⳿ⲉⲣⲟϥ ⲁⲛ ⲁⲗⲗⲁ ⳿ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ϩⲓⲧⲉⲛ ⲟⲩϭⲱⲣⲡ ⳿ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ⳿ⲛⲧⲉ Ⲓⲏ̅ⲥ̅ Ⲡⲭ̅ⲥ̅.
13For you have heard of my former way of life in Judaism, how severely I persecuted the church of God and tried to destroy it.
13ⲁⲧⲉⲧⲉⲛⲥⲱⲧⲉⲙ ⲅⲁⲣ ⳿ⲉⲡⲁϫⲓⲛⲙⲟϣⲓ ⳿ⲙⲡⲓⲥⲏⲟⲩ ⳿ⲛ⳿ϩⲣⲏⲓ ϧⲉⲛ ϯⲙⲉⲧⲓⲟⲩⲇⲁⲓ ϫⲉ ⳿ⲛ⳿ϩⲣⲏⲓ ϧⲉⲛ ⲟⲩⲙⲉⲧϩⲟⲩ⳿ⲟ ⲛⲁⲓϭⲟϫⲓ ⳿ⲛⲥⲁ ϯⲉⲕ⳿ⲕⲗⲏ ⲥⲓⲁ ⳿ⲛⲧⲉ ⲫϯ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲛⲁⲓϣⲱϥ ⳿ⲙⲙⲟⲥ.
14I was advancing in Judaism beyond many of my contemporaries and was extremely zealous for the traditions of my fathers.
14ⲛⲁⲓⲉⲣ⳿ⲡⲣⲟⲕⲟⲡⲧⲓⲛ ϧⲉⲛ ϯⲙⲉⲧⲓⲟⲩⲇⲁⲓ ⳿ⲉϩⲟⲧⲉ ⲟⲩⲙⲏϣ ⳿ⲛⲧⲉ ⲧⲁⲙⲁⲓⲏ ϧⲉⲛ ⲡⲁⲅⲉⲛⲟⲥ ⲉⲓⲟⲓ ⳿ⲛⲣⲉϥⲭⲟϩ ⳿ⲛϩⲟⲩ⳿ⲟ ⳿ⲉⲛⲏⲉⲧⲁ ⲛⲁⲓⲟϯ ⲧⲏⲓⲧⲟⲩ ⳿ⲉⲧⲟⲧ.
15But when God, who set me apart from my mother’s womb and called me by His grace, was pleased
15ϩⲟⲧⲉ ⲇⲉ ⲉⲧⲁϥϯⲙⲁϯ ⳿ⲛϫⲉ ⲫϯ ⲫⲏⲉⲧⲁϥⲫⲟⲣϫⲧ ⳿ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ϧⲉⲛ ⳿ⲑⲛⲉϫⲓ ⳿ⲛⲧⲉ ⲧⲁⲙⲁⲩ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲁϥⲑⲁϩⲙⲉⲧ ϩⲓⲧⲉⲛ ⲡⲉϥ⳿ϩⲙⲟⲧ.
16to reveal His Son in me so that I might preach Him among the Gentiles, I did not rush to consult with flesh and blood,
16⳿ⲉϭⲱⲣⲡ ⳿ⲙⲡⲉϥϣⲏⲣⲓ ⳿ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ⳿ⲛϧⲏⲧ ϩⲓⲛⲁ ⳿ⲛⲧⲁϩⲓϣⲉⲛⲛⲟⲩϥⲓ ⳿ⲙⲙⲟϥ ϧⲉⲛ ⲛⲓⲉⲑⲛⲟⲥ ⲥⲁⲧⲟⲧ ⳿ⲙⲡⲓⲟⲩⲁϩⲧ ⳿ⲛⲥⲁ ⲥⲁⲣⲝ ϩⲓ ⳿ⲥⲛⲟϥ.
17nor did I go up to Jerusalem to the apostles who came before me, but I went into Arabia and later returned to Damascus.
17ⲟⲩⲇⲉ ⳿ⲙⲡⲓϣⲉ ⳿ⲉ⳿ϩⲣⲏⲓ ⳿ⲉ⳿ⲓⲗ̅ⲏ̅ⲙ̅ ϣⲁ ⲛⲓⲁⲡⲟⲥⲧⲟⲗⲟⲥ ⲉⲧϧⲁϫⲱⲓ ⲁⲗⲗⲁ ⲁⲓϣⲉ ⲛⲏⲓ ⳿ⲉ⳿ⲧⲁⲣⲁⲃⲓⲁ ⲡⲁⲗⲓⲛ ⲟⲛ ⲁⲓⲕⲟⲧⲧ ⳿ⲉⲇⲁⲙⲁⲥⲕⲟⲥ.
18Only after three years did I go up to Jerusalem to confer with Cephas, and I stayed with him fifteen days.
18ⲓⲧⲁ ⲙⲉⲛⲉⲛⲥⲁ ⲅ̅ ⳿ⲛⲣⲟⲙⲡⲓ ⲁⲓϣⲉ ⲛⲏⲓ ⳿ⲉ⳿ϩⲣⲏⲓ ⳿ⲉ⳿ⲓⲗ̅ⲏ̅ⲙ̅ ⳿ⲉⲛⲁⲩ ⳿ⲉⲕⲏⲫⲁ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲁⲓⲟϩⲓ ϧⲁⲧⲟⲧϥ ⳿ⲙⲓ̅ⲉ̅ ⳿ⲛ⳿ⲉϩⲟⲟⲩ.
19But I saw none of the other apostles except James, the Lord’s brother.
19ⲕⲉⲟⲩⲁⲓ ⲇⲉ ⳿ⲛⲛⲓⲁⲡⲟⲥⲧⲟⲗⲟⲥ ⳿ⲙⲡⲓⲛⲁⲩ ⳿ⲉⲣⲟϥ ⳿ⲉⲃⲏⲗ ⳿ⲉⲓⲁⲕⲱⲃⲟⲥ ⳿ⲡⲥⲟⲛ ⳿ⲙⲠ⳪.
20I assure you before God that what I am writing to you is no lie.
20ⲛⲏ ⲇⲉ ⳿ⲉϯ⳿ⲥϧⲁⲓ ⳿ⲙⲙⲱⲟⲩ ⲛⲱⲧⲉⲛ ⲓⲥ ϩⲏⲡⲡⲉ ⳿ⲙⲡⲉ⳿ⲙⲑⲟ ⳿ⲙⲫϯ ϫⲉ ⳿ⲛϯϫⲉⲙⲉⲑⲛⲟⲩϫ ⲁⲛ.
21Later I went to the regions of Syria and Cilicia.
21ⲙⲉⲛⲉⲛⲥⲁ ⲛⲁⲓ ⲇⲉ ⲁⲓ⳿ⲓ ⳿ⲉⲛⲓⲥⲁ ⳿ⲛⲧⲉ ϯⲥⲩⲣⲓⲁ ⲛⲉⲙ ϯⲕⲩⲗⲓⲕⲓⲁ.
22I was personally unknown, however, to the churches of Judea that are in Christ.
22ⲛⲁⲩⲥⲱⲟⲩⲛ ⲇⲉ ⳿ⲙⲙⲟⲓ ⲡⲉ ϧⲉⲛ ⲡⲁϩⲟ ⳿ⲛϫⲉ ⲛⲓⲉⲕ⳿ⲕⲗⲏⲥⲓⲁ ⳿ⲛⲧⲉ ϯⲓⲟⲩⲇⲉ⳿ⲁ ⲛⲏⲉⲧϧⲉⲛ Ⲡⲭ̅ⲥ̅.
23They only heard the account: “The man who formerly persecuted us is now preaching the faith he once tried to destroy.”
23ⲙⲟⲛⲟⲛ ⲇⲉ ⲛⲉϣⲁⲩⲥⲱⲧⲉⲙ ⲡⲉ ϫⲉ ⲫⲏ ⳿ⲉⲛⲁϥϭⲟϫⲓ ⳿ⲛⲥⲱⲛ ⳿ⲙⲡⲓⲥⲏⲟⲩ ϯⲛⲟⲩ ⳿ϥϩⲓϣⲉⲛⲛⲟⲩϥⲓ ⳿ⲙⲡⲓⲛⲁϩϯ ⲫⲏ ⳿ⲉⲛⲁϥϣⲱϥ ⳿ⲙⲙⲟϥ ⳿ⲙⲙⲟϥ ⳿ⲛⲟⲩⲥⲏⲟⲩ.
24And they glorified God because of me.
24ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲛⲁⲩϯⲱⲟⲩ ⳿ⲙⲫϯ ⲡⲉ ⳿ⲛ⳿ϧⲣⲏⲓ ⳿ⲛϧⲏⲧ
