1 Peter 5

Berean Standard Bible
Kadede Kap (Pohnpeian New Testament and Psalms)
1As a fellow elder, a witness of Christ’s sufferings, and a partaker of the glory to be revealed, I appeal to the elders among you:
1I panaui jaunkoa kan, me mi nan pun omail, pwe nai pil kijan jaunkoa kan o jaunkadede en kamekam en Krijtuj, o pil ian pwaijaneki linan, me pan kajanjaleda.
2Be shepherds of God’s flock that is among you, watching over them not out of compulsion, but because it is God’s will; not out of greed, but out of eagerness;
2Komail kamana pwin ijou en Kot, me mi re omail, a kaidin manjairen, pwe ni injenemau ni omail ariri Kot, kaidin pweki moni, a ni peren o limpok.
3not lording it over those entrusted to you, but being examples to the flock.
3O kaidin akajaupeidi on momodijou, a men kaalemoni, pwe pwin ijou en ale jan.
4And when the Chief Shepherd appears, you will receive the crown of glory that will never fade away.
4Ari, ni en jilepa lapalap a pan pwarado, komail pan ale mar en linan, me jota pan monela.
5Young men, in the same way, submit yourselves to your elders. And all of you, clothe yourselves with humility toward one another, because, “God opposes the proud, but gives grace to the humble.”
5Pil dueta komail me pulepul akan, peiki on me laud akan. Komail karoj upa pena o tenedi on opampap. Pwe Kot kin kotin palian me aklapalap akan, ap kotin maki on me karakarak kan.
6Humble yourselves, therefore, under God’s mighty hand, so that in due time He may exalt you.
6Komail ari karakarak pan lim en Kot manaman, pwe a en kotin kajapwil komail ada, ni eu anj au me kon on
7Cast all your anxiety on Him, because He cares for you.
7Kadakadar on i omail inon karoj, pwe a kin kotin kupuro kin komail.
8Be sober-minded and alert. Your adversary the devil prowls around like a roaring lion, seeking someone to devour.
8Komail lelapok o majamajan, pwe omail imwintiti tewil koko jili dueta laien weriwer amen o raparapaki, me a pan katalala.
9Resist him, standing firm in your faith and in the knowledge that your brothers throughout the world are undergoing the same kinds of suffering.
9Komail ari kelail palian i o teneten ni pojon, o aja, me kamekam ota kin lel on ri omail akan nin jappa,
10And after you have suffered for a little while, the God of all grace, who has called you to His eternal glory in Christ, will Himself restore you, secure you, strengthen you, and establish you.
10A Kot en mak karoj, me kotin molipe komail won a linan joutuk, ren Krijtuj, pan kotin kaunjokala, o kakelada, o kamanada, o pajonedi, me pan kalokolok anjau motomot.
11To Him be the power forever and ever. Amen.
11I me udan manaman potopoteta! Amen.
12Through Silvanus, whom I regard as a faithful brother, I have written to you briefly, encouraging you and testifying that this is the true grace of God. Stand firm in it.

13The church in Babylon, chosen together with you, sends you greetings, as does my son Mark.
13Irail, me ian komail pilipildar nan Papilon o nai ol Markuj ara ranamau won komail.
14Greet one another with a kiss of love. Peace to all of you who are in Christ.
14Komail ranamauiki pena metik en limpok. Popol en mi re omail karoj, me warok ki on er Krijtuj! Amen.
