1 Corinthians 16

Berean Standard Bible
Baibala Hemolele (Hawaiian Bible, 1868 revision)
1Now about the collection for the saints, you are to do as I directed the churches of Galatia:
1MA ka manawalea ana no ka poe hoano, e like me ka'u i kauoha aku ai i na ekalesia ma Galatia, pela no oukou e hana'i.
2On the first day of every week, each of you should set aside a portion of his income, saving it up, so that when I come no collections will be needed.
2I ka la mua o ka hebedoma, e hoana e kela mea keia mea o oukou i kana iho, e like me kona hoopomaikaiia mai, i hoiliili ole ai oukou i ko'u wa e hiki aku ai.
3Then, on my arrival, I will send letters with those you recommend to carry your gift to Jerusalem.
3A hiki aku au, alaila, o na mea a oukou e manao ai ma ka palapala, na'u no lakou e hoouna aku, e lawe i ko oukou manawalea i Ierusalema.
4And if it is advisable for me to go also, they can travel with me.
4A ina he pono ke hele au, e hele pu lakou me au.
5After I go through Macedonia, however, I will come to you; for I will be going through Macedonia.
5I ko'u wa e hele aku ai mawaena o Makedonia, e hele no wau io oukou la; no ka mea, e hele ana au ma Makedonia.
6Perhaps I will stay with you awhile, or even spend the winter, so that you can help me on my journey, wherever I go.
6A e noho paha, a pau ka hooilo me oukou, a na oukou wau e kai aku i ko'u wahi e hele ai.
7For I do not want to see you now only in passing; I hope to spend some time with you, if the Lord permits.
7No ka mea, aole au e ike aku ia oukou i keia hele ana; ke manao nei no nae au e noho iki me oukou, ina e ae mai ka Haku pela.
8But I will stay in Ephesus until Pentecost,
8E noho no au ma Epeso, a hiki i ka Penetekota.
9because a great door for effective work has opened to me, even though many oppose me.
9No ka mea, ua weheia mai no'u, he puka nui, a ua hamama loa, a ua nui no hoi ka poe enemi.
10If Timothy comes, see to it that he has nothing to fear while he is with you, for he is doing the work of the Lord, just as I am.
10Ina e hiki aku o Timoteo, e malama oukou, i noho pu ia me oukou, me ka makau ole; no ka mea, ke hana nei ia i ka hana a ka Haku e like me au nei.
11No one, then, should treat him with contempt. Send him on his way in peace so that he can return to me, for I am expecting him along with the brothers.
11Mai hoowahawaha kekahi ia ia; e alakai mai ia ia me ka maluhia i hiki io'u nei; no ka mea, e kakali no au ia ia, me na hoahanau.
12Now about our brother Apollos: I strongly urged him to go to you with the brothers. He was not at all inclined to go now, but he will go when he has the opportunity.
12A o A polo hoi ka hoahanau, ua makemake nui au e hele aku ia io oukou la, me na hoahanau; aole nae ia o kona manao ke hele aku io oukou la, i keia wa; aka, e hele aku no ke loaa ia ia ka wa pono.
13Be on the alert. Stand firm in the faith. Be men of courage. Be strong.
13E makaala oukou, e kupaa ma ka manaoio, e hookanaka, e ikaika hoi.
14Do everything in love.
14E hanaia ko oukou mea a pau me ke aloha.
15You know that Stephanas and his household were the first converts in Achaia, and they have devoted themselves to the service of the saints. Now I urge you, brothers,
15Ke nonoi aku nei au ia oukou, e na hoahanau, (no ko oukou ike ana i na ohna o Setepana, oia ka hua mua ma Akai a, a ua hoolilo lakou ia lakou iho i poe hookauwa aku na ka poe hoano;)
16to submit to such as these, and to every fellow worker and laborer.
16E malama oukou i ka poe like mo ia, a me ka poe a pau i kokua pu, a i hana pu hoi me makou.
17I am glad that Stephanas, Fortunatus, and Achaicus have arrived, because they have supplied what was lacking from you.
17Ua olioli au i ka hiki ana o Setepana, a me Foretunato, a me Akaiko; no ka mea, uapani lakou i ko oukou hakahaka.
18For they refreshed my spirit and yours as well. Show your appreciation, therefore, to such men.
18Ua hoomaha mai lakou i ko'u naau a me ko oukou; nolaila, e ike mai oukou i ka poe hana pela.
19The churches in the province of Asia send you greetings. Aquila and Prisca greet you warmly in the Lord, and so does the church that meets at their house.
19Ke aloha aku nei na ekalesia ma Asia ia oukou. Ke aloha nui aku nei o Akula a me Perisekila ia oukou maloko o ka Haku, a me ka ekalesia iloko o ko laua hale.
20All the brothers here send you greetings. Greet one another with a holy kiss.
20Ke aloha aku nei na hoahanau a pau ia oukou. E aloha oukou kekahi i kekahi, me ka honi hemolele.
21This greeting is in my own hand—Paul.
21Eia ke aloha o Paulo, me ko'u lima iho.
22If anyone does not love the Lord, let him be under a curse. Come, O Lord!
22Ina aole e aloha kekahi i ka Haku ia Iesu Kristo, e hoomainoinoia oia, i ka wa e hiki mai ai ka Haku.
23The grace of the Lord Jesus be with you.
23Me oukou no ke aloha o ka Haku o Iesu Kristo.
24My love be with all of you in Christ Jesus. Amen.
24O ke aloha o'u me oukou a pau iloko o Iesu Kristo. Amene.
