1‌ʻOku totonu ke lea ni ʻa ʻIsileli, Kuo liunga lahi ʻenau fakamamahiʻi au talu ʻeku kei talavou:
1Many a time they have persecuted me from my youth— let Israel now declare—
2“Kuo liunga lahi ʻenau fakamamahiʻi au talu ʻeku talavou: ka naʻe ʻikai tenau mālohi kiate au.
2many a time they have persecuted me from my youth, but they have not prevailed against me.
3Naʻe keli ʻae kau tangata keli ʻi hoku tuʻa: naʻa nau ngaohi ke lōloa ʻenau ngaahi keli.
3The plowmen plowed over my back; they made their furrows long.
4‌ʻOku angatonu ʻa Sihova: kuo tuʻusi ʻe ia ʻae ngaahi afo ʻae kakai angahala.”
4The LORD is righteous; He has cut me from the cords of the wicked.

5May all who hate Zion be turned back in shame.
6Tuku kenau tatau mo e mohuku ʻi he tatā ʻoe fale, ʻaia ʻoku mae ʻi he teʻeki ai ke lahi ia:
6May they be like grass on the rooftops, which withers before it can grow,
7‌ʻAia ʻoku ʻikai fakapito ʻaki ʻe he tangata tuʻusi ʻa hono nima; pe ko e fatafata ʻo ia ʻoku ne nonoʻo ʻae ngaahi ʻū mohuku.
7unable to fill the hands of the reaper, or the arms of the binder of sheaves.
8Pea ʻoku ʻikai lea ʻakinautolu ʻoku ʻalu ʻi ai, ʻo pehē, “Ke ʻiate kimoutolu ʻae monūʻia meia Sihova: ʻoku mau tāpuaki ʻakimoutolu ʻi he huafa ʻo Sihova.”
8May none who pass by say to them, “The blessing of the LORD be on you; we bless you in the name of the LORD.”
